We asked for the high chair and they accommodated before even bringing us to our table. They also brought some complementary fruits for our baby. Super kids friendly. Food was great, we had the French toast (comes with bacon, eggs or other choices) and it was a huge amount. The toast wasn't the best I've had, but good. The lobster and Brie omelet though... yum. On October 29, 2023. We came for brunch. We're a huge family of 21!! They could not hold us all in one setting however, they only could offer 3 reservations for 7 per table. They ended up accommodating one table for 13 and across another table for 8. There has to be a gap between the two tables to keeps walkway. It worked great. I got the shrimp and grits and coffee. I forgot to take a picture ugh! It was truly delicious and very tasty!! Our server was excellent. The place was crowded. The lobby area is small. We really wanted to love this place. We recently moved to Texas from the East Coast and had heard great things about this chain. While the beverages were decent and the service was excellent, the food was unfortunately a big letdown. We ordered the crab cake Benedict, lobster omelet, beignets, and pancakes, and every dish came out with the same issue -- the texture was extremely mushy. For a $150 bill, this was pretty disappointing. The staff did a great job, but the food itself left a lot to be desired. read more

Since it was our first visit, Anneth delivered a complimentary order of fresh beignets, with honey citrus dipping sauce on the side. Deelish! A real treat! I visited Another Broken Egg Cafe off Mesa Drive in Austin for brunch this past Sunday, and everything was amazing from start to finish. It was my first time there, and I was really impressed. One of the best parts was being able to add myself to the waitlist online ahead of time--it made a huge difference since the restaurant was very busy and crowded when we arrived. We were seated quickly thanks to that feature. Our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive--her service was exceptional. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. I also had the strawberry St. Germain mimosa, which was delicious and refreshing. My daughter had the kids' chocolate chip pancakes, and she loved them--she even ate every egg on her plate, and I ended up ordering her a second helping! Recently came back for a Sunday Brunch with one of my best friends who was visiting from out of town. She's also gluten-free for medical reasons, so I was really excited to bring her here. I am a little disappointed by the reduced offerings for gluten-free pancakes, as that has always been my favorite thing about this place. Note: they do have a separate allergy-friendly menu but you have to ask for it! We ended up each ordering an omelette and adding a 2stack of gluten free pancakes for an extra $5, which was a phenomenal idea. Unfortunately, the Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes were a bit of a disappointment for both of us as we were wanting sweeter pancakes and goat cheese really just overwhelmed the flavor (plus they look so sad), but the Bourbon Street Pancakes are what dreams are made of. The Skinny Omelette was good, but the asparagus was a bit undercooked. A lot of omelettes use wheat as a thickener, so I'm thankful they have gluten-free omelettes here, but I think I'd order a different flavor next time. Service was a bit slow, but they were very friendly, it was a crazy busy day, and we enjoyed not feeling rushed as we caught up! All in all, I give the food a 7/10, service 9/10, and the menu a 8/10 because I'm sad they have fewer gluten-free options. They pack people in pretty good...so it's a bit noisy...but tolerable. We started with a 1/2 order of Beignets...and we were asked if we wanted them before our meal as an appetizer...yes please...they showed up with the rest of our meal. The crab cake was not disappointing. They meant business with those crab crakes, it was mostly crab unlock other places where you get lots of the bread filling. I will order again! The blueberry lemon pancake could have been better. Pancake part check, absolutely delicious but there was no lemon flavor. Also, my pancake didn't come out when our order was brought to us. I had to ask for it and by the time the waiter checked on us I was already done eating. I also had to flag the waiter down to get a coffee refill. Me and my girlfriend like to come to Broken Egg as our weekly date, but the past two times we have came it has been INCREDIBLY disappointing. Both times the eggs were hard, cold, and definitively not made to order, and our food has consistently been undercooked, with the middle of my pancakes still consisting of liquid batter. The french toast should be fluffy, not cold, hard, and clearly left to sit out for too long. From what I can tell, this place's food will only be good if they are slow. I know if i'm looking for good breakfest, i'm going to Kerbey Lane, Snooze, or First Watch instead. 0/10. At least our waitress was nice, but there's some sort of problem in the kitchen. read more

We opted to sit outside and ordered a carafe of grand mimosas (they have St Germaine in them) while deciding on our order. Chicken and waffles for my love and I had the hash brown Benedict. I was kind of unhappy with the limited side choices of grits or potatoes. Ick, already having hash browns. For 3.59 more you can have a cup of fruit instead. Nope, I will just pay 2 bucks more for the 3 slices of bacon. I have to say my brunch was delish and I had a bite of my husband's waffle. I'm not a waffle fan but these were pretty darn good. Another broken egg Café is clearly popular, with a line going out the door, and people loitering in the parking lot in a digital queue. Puzzled if we should wait, we asked the hostess if she enjoyed the food here; although it's probably a biased opinion, she did tells us that she likes it personally. After waiting 45 to 50 minutes, we got a text saying the table is ready. It was obnoxiously loud inside, thankfully our table was outside, and the weather was beautiful. Usually, I don't mind a loud environment... although not when everyone's screaming to hear each other, and laughing like they're in a comedy club. For some reason part of me just was wanting to have a nice, peaceful relaxed meal after walking only 5 feet through the restaurant to the patio. we almost didn't know what to order, the pressure was ironically immense, knowing that we waited this long, just for a late breakfast. After coming to a conclusion, placing an order and a short wait, our dishes came out. The Huevos Rancheros was excellent. The shrimp Benny was excellent as well, although one of my Focaccia was hard as a rock. The poached eggs served on top, with onions, peppers, and mushrooms. All a lovely touch, and worked well, all tied in together with the velouté sauce. Neither of us enjoyed the grits. We split the traditional day starter just to have some bacon and some over easy eggs, just to find that it was already cold by the time it reached our table. I suppose that is somewhat understandable because eggs, bacon, and English muffins are probably the fastest things that come out in the kitchen. It's just sad to see that one of our dishes was probably waiting while the others were cooking. The English muffin was stale as well. Clearly, some of our dish was definitely sitting out for a minute. I don't think that's the servers fault, that's more of kitchen coordination. On the flipside everyone here was very nice. Aside from the crowd of people that were loitering around our table after they ate, and come outside to chit chat. They were screaming just like everyone inside. Maybe they had hearing damage and couldn't hear how loud they were talking and laughing cause they lost hearing from being inside. Not very respectful of others in my opinion. All in all, I wouldn't rate this as a excellent experience... Especially while the prices are $15-$20 a dish! I'm certainly not gonna come back here to wait in line, and get a mediocre over priced breakfast. Maybe if you can get in the digital queue before you even leave the house and you don't mind spending $15-$20 a pop on eggs and toast. In that case, this is your new spot, but personally it's not for me. This is our go to breakfast/ brunch place in Austin! always great service and always great food! my go to is the shrimp and grits for a savory breakfast. I love the carrot cake pancakes(seasona item) for sweet. Coffee is always on point. Pro tip, sign onto the online queue for faster seating. this place gets busy during the weekends but we haven't had to wait more than 10-15mins. Seating is comfortable and noise volume is busy but not noisy. I like that there is some chatter and light music in the background. I've never had issues hearing the server or speaking with my party. Who doesn't love a little brunch? This place was bustling but we still managed to get a table reasonably quickly. Menu is extensive with a lot of variation on favorites. Staff was really nice and the service was quick and pleasant. Use of wood throughout gave the place a homey feel. For the meal - limited time lobster Benedict hit the spot as did the biscuit and gravy with some sausage and sunny eggs. First time here. Was actually planning to go to another restaurant but they we closed. I needed a bar at 7am for my night shift friend and they were close so we gave them a try. Our server was great at recommending some drinks. They are originally from Louisiana so they have some creole inspired menu items. I got the shrimp Benedict on a grit Patty and I added some red peppers on our server's recommendation. My friend got the crab cake Benedict and I honestly couldn't decide on which one I loved more. This review is a long time coming. Since finding out about this place right when COVID let up, I must have revisited 6-7 times. The service is incredibly friendly. You can tell that the culture of this place is something employees and management really care about. I love that you can make reservations online! The best part, to me, is their seasonal menu. Today, we are having the short braised ribs and the blackened mahi benedict with a pitcher of blueberry mimosa. The beef is cook perfectly, so tender it falls apart in your mouth. As always, the grits are on point. Love the flourishes on every dish; in this case some shaved pear and green onion with a medium egg on top. I have eaten at this restaurant 3 times, and all 3 times been impressed with the food, service, and decor. The restaurant decor is modern with lots of black and white photos of locations around Austin. It's clean and comfortable. The bar area looks amazing, though I haven't tried it yet. Elena was my server this visit, and she was wonderfully attentive. When I told her I wanted to buy one of the mugs, she brought an entire tray full of different colored ones for me to choose from. The lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes were amazing and fluffy, especially for gluten free pancakes. The bacon is baked, which I love, since it thoroughly cooks it and leaves it flexible. Went to Austin with friends and chose to visit this spot after completing a hike at a local trail. We put ourselves on the waitlist but we were able to be seated immediately since we arrived a little after 1 PM. First thing I'll mention is the playlist was jamming. We found ourselves singing along to all the songs the whole time we were there. Our server, Brittany, was awesome. She shared her recommendations and we decided to give them a try. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast with 2 eggs and chicken sausage. My friends ordered the veggie omelet and the ham & cheese coquette Benedict (not pictured). We all enjoyed our food. I ended up taking some of my French toast home since I couldn't finish it. I reheated the next day and it was still tasty. This is another small chain but it still felt like a small mom & pop shop (which I like and prefer). I'll have to check out the locations in the DFW to see if they're as nice as this one. Good neighborhood breakfast spot in NW Hill. This place gets really busy for weekend breakfast/brunch but we usually get seated right away if we get before 9:30 or so. The staff is always very friendly. The menu is huge with a lot of interesting dishes as well as classics. I like the Hash Brown Benedict. It's a nice twist on eggs Benedict with potato croquettes replacing the muffin. It's tasty and not really huge like a lot the other items.
