I've been here several times the quality is always top notch so many different items that change so you've always get something new plenty of seating on the inside little patio on the outside. The quality is here very good.

My dentist is just down the street and I had been wanting to stop in for the longest time and finally had the opportunity to do so. I was not disappointed at all. You know the place is good when there's a line, amiright? With that said, the line moved efficiently when I was there. The pastries they offer are crazy-good. I love a properly made scone and they nailed it! The coffee is also super good. The Wildflower Lavender Latte was probably one of the best I have ever had. The shop itself has a warm and welcoming decor and vibe. It will now be my mission to treat myself here each and every time I leave the dentist. Because, come on, we all deserve something good after a dental visit.

There was a random coffee shop in North Austin far away from the rest of our tourist things that has the most exquisite liquid blended espresso chocolate or vanilla shake. This thing is blended for so long, it is a perfect liquid with zero ice pieces that you can drink with a tiny straw. Packed with bold espresso and thick chocolate ice cream, it is the best drink for a drive back to Houston. No one blends like this. Why don't we have this in Houston :( alas.

Cute coffeeshop on Burnett! The mocha was perfectly sweet and the matcha latte had a good flavor profile. Definitely a great neighborhood coffeeshop to frequent with ample seating and outlets to work as well.

Monkey Nest hits every single time. I've been coming here for a couple of months and have never been disappointed. Their seasonal and rotating drinks are perfect and their ingredients are perfect. Coming to read to a book and sipping a cold drink on these hot days have made most of summer manageable!

Breakfast taco (wrapped up like a little burrito). Very good.

They don't monkey around here. The coffee is excellent. There are stuffed monkeys everywhere and lots of monkey puns on the coffee menu. I'm not sure why they love monkeys so much but, honestly, who doesn't love monkeys? If the coffee is great, I'm good with it. We loved our drinks and we also got a breakfast taco that was very good. They've got cookies and other pastries and everything looked really good. No outside seating but plenty of indoor seating. The environment is inviting and funky. Who knew Austin had such great coffee?

Not sure how this place got so many good reviews. As you can see in my picture that they barely put any espresso in their drinks and the customer service was awful! The guy that took our order was extremely cold and more interested in talking to his coworkers than taking our order. Will never come back!

Wait I'm so sorry but this was such an awful taco and the coffee was burnt and that was after I gave it a second chance bc earlier in the week the coffee was also burnt ... I'm sorry this just isn't it

Cute coffee shop with (not real) monkeys! They have a drink line and a food line. You can order from a tablet there and they'll call your name. I thought the empanada was really small but it actually filled me up for breakfast. Also got Monkey's Uncle. You can order drinks iced or hot. Ordered lunch to-go and really just wanted sandwiches but they l came as meals (with chips and a drink). I don't normally eat chips but the chips are actually super delicious! The bacon apple grilled cheese is really tasty. Wi-Fi works really well and there are outlets, so it's a great spot to get some work done. Quite a few parking stalls outside.

Super friendly service at this spot. Definitely would come back if I was close by but coffee didn't stand out enough for me to go out of my way to come back. Was good but not super memorable

It was.. fine? I remember this spot being a go to in college with decently priced coffee/food but alas it hasn't lived up to what I remembered. The monkey muffin was a fun take on monkey bread with a muffin bottom. The lavender latte had to much syrup for my preference that I had to let the ice water it down before I deemed it drinkable. If I'm in the area, maybe I'll go again, but I won't go out of my way!

Nice coffee shop with old-school vibe. I love that they have a different organic coffee on rotation each day. Baristas were super friendly. Good spot to cowork, with plenty of outlets and fast internet. The AC is strong so bring a sweater. It's also on a busy road, so not ideal if you like to take breaks outside.

Good coffee, welcoming staff, and a nice space to sit and enjoy. However, we came at a busy time on a Saturday morning, so it was quite busy and loud, and the service took longer than expected. I ordered a topo chico bottle of sparkling water and small coffee and it was $3.50 each, which is unfortunately about standard nowadays. Nonetheless, I would recommend a visit!

Decent ambiance with a fun idea for a business. The coffee and bakery items were good, but not the best we've had in Austin.

Ask the Community - Monkey Nest Coffee

What hours can u order the Breakfast Tacos?

Do they blend their specialty lattes like frappe, if we ask?

Yes, they can mix it up :)

Do they have decaf iced coffee?

We don’t have a cold brew that is decaf but we can do almost any other drink decaf. An iced decaf americano would be the closest to the iced coffee!

    Do they have lavender lattes?

    Yes we do!

I was a little confused when I drove up because I didn't realize that it's inside the Retreat Yoga Studio. There is a neon sign on the window as well as an A-Frame Sign near the entrance to let you know you're in the right place. Parking is plentiful in the shopping center. Because it's in a Yoga Studio, there isn't much seating (though they did have tables set up outside). The vibe was relaxing and calm. I don't know what scent they had in there, but it smelled nice. This wouldn't be a place to study or work as the seating is limited and I didn't see many outlets. There was a small area with bar stools if you need a tabletop, but most of the seating was couches and lounge chairs. It's more of a place to relax or catch up with a friend. I love when coffee shops have signature drinks. I ordered the Cajeta Crème Brûlée Cappuccino. It was so good, but it came in a small cup. The smoky sea salt was delicious! I don't typically care for sea salt in beverages, but it complimented the flavors so well! I asked the barista to sub oat milk which they were able to do but he informed me that some of the ingredients had dairy (which was fine). I appreciated the disclosure. I was able to drink it without any issues. Because my drink was so small, I decided to order a second one. I went with the Ginger Snap Latte (with oat milk) and it was tasty! I didn't like it as much as the Cajeta Crème Brûlée, but it was really good. I was happy that it was served in a larger cup. The space had plants as well as merch like clothing, scented candles, soaps, and jewelry (which was beautiful). The bathrooms were very clean and had feminine hygiene products as well as a basket with bobby pins and hair ties. I love the attention to detail! We were there close to closing time (3 pm). I appreciated that one of the employees let us know that they would be closing without forcing us to get up and leave. It was on par with the gentle and calming vibe of the space.

Here's the scoop...Nitro coffee begins as cold brew and is then infused with nitrogen gas, which creates tiny little bubbles that give it a creamy, velvety texture. It has the foaminess of beer. Important to note, it has no alcohol. They have an assortment of food- pastries, tacos and sandwiches. The coffee shop is large with seating space on both sides of the coffee shop. There is also outside seating. I ordered the matcha latte and a migas taco with potato and avocado. The matcha latte was initially too matcha-y. I added a lavender flavoring and it was perfect.
