Went for Valentine's Day breakfast today, as it was a weekday, it wasn't crowded and got seated as soon we stepped in, place was clean, feel good environment with natural light. Ordered chicken and waffles, and a A la carte with sides: scrambled eggs, toast and potatoes, coffee. Coffee: they have medium and dark roast, always appreciate when you have options, we got medium roast which was just perfect. Chicken & waffles: loved chicken tenders, it was light, crispy, juicy. Waffles was disappointing, it was too eggy, like an egg waffle, which I personally don't like. A la carte: eggs, nothing special just the standard scrambled eggs, but loved those potatoes, they're addictive, with just a bowl of those potatoes with coffee, can eat all day long:) Service: our host was Suzanne, elderly lady, but so much attentive, friendly, sweet, she was awesome. not only her, even others were checking if we needed coffee, there are places where we have to flag someone to fill up the coffee, but not here, if it was only for food, would've given 4stars, but with the exceptional service, it's a 5stars!! read more

Food was delicious and portions were large! They had a kids menu and a variety of dishes for adults too. Their iced cold brew was really good. I liked the vegetarian options I could find on the menu. First timer here! First off, customer service is some of the best I have ever encountered! We ended up sitting outside but the ambiance of the inside seemed cute and comfy! The outdoor area may not look like much from the outside but we enjoyed the shaded area and decor that we could see. We told our amazing waiter it was our first time there and she was sweet enough to bring us some their signature biscuit beignets! If you've never had them - I highly recommend. Very cute little place. Front of house staff weren't super great but not terrible (definitely not the right personality for greeting customers). The lighting and decor inside was such a vibe, we absolutely loved it. Our waiter was so friendly and even got down to our 2 year olds level and talked to her. Service was fantastic. The couple that arrived about ten minutes after us had nearly finished their meal before we were served ours. The threesome that arrived twenty minutes after us had to wait at least twenty minutes before their order was taken. My brunch companion's hot cakes were unfortunate... you could taste the uncooked batter but the bottoms were stiff and dark brown. Guess the griddle was too hot. Came here for brunch on a Sunday and the wait was about 30 min? Maybe 45 min cause my friend had called to put us on the waitlist when she picked us up. The location is a bit out of the way in north Austin in a plaza so not your typical Sunday funday brunch place. Seems more like a family oriented type of restaurant. My fiance ordered the Crab Cake Benedict (Jumbo lump crab cakes on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, andouille-infused hollandaise, red peppers and green onions. Served with grits.) My fiance mom had the Smoked Salmon Benedict (Toasted bagel, cream cheese, smoked salmon and poached eggs, topped with red onions, capers and green onions. Served with fresh country potatoes.). My Floridian Omelette was delicious and very flavorful. The crab meat wasn't too overwhelming, the cream cheese was a bit much, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I tried my fiance Crab Cake Benedict and that was very enjoyable. The crab cake was cooked perfectly and the eggs was poached perfectly. The grits was also good. She enjoyed her meal. Drove all the way from Marble Falls to try this place out. Saw lots of great reviews. For my first time experience it wasn't the greatest at FIRST! Cindy the hostess was just not a nice person had attitude gave me attitude was waiting for 45 minutes and not even on the list even though my son spoke to her to be added. Needless to say I was not in a good mood. Finally when I sat down I was with a wonderful waitress Elena who was so kind and sweet, she was very apologetic about my situation and took very good care of my son and I. She also spoke to the manager (also named Cindy) (different Cindy lol) and came over to apologize for the situation. From there my bad experience turned out to be a great experience with the customer service from Elena. The food was amazing you must try we were not disappointed. I ordered the veggie delight omelette with a side of blueberry and lemon pancakes, my son got the bacon cheese burger. It was out of this world and worth the drive. A hidden jewel in the Austin area, just off Hwy 1 and Spicewoods Springs Road is "Another Broken Egg". To me Breakfast and Dinner are the most important meals in life. Menu is extensive, yet interesting. Very nice combination of food items that blend well together. Well thought out. I ordered the "The Floridian Omelette". Cream Cheese inside an omelette with Crab sautéed in a garlic butter sauce, with melted jack cheese and green onions on top. The tastes were heaven in my mouth. It came with an English muffin and the best breakfast potatoes I've had in years. All served up like a $$$ restaurant would. My wife ordered the Blueberry French toast. French toast with toasted almonds, a strawberry compound butter, powdered sugar, eggs and the best crispy bacon I think I've ever had in a restaurant. This chef is playing to win! I had a broken egg and chicken biscuit with sausage gravy. SO GOOD. We got a side of the sausage patties and baked bacon. Both flavorful and crunchy for the bacon. We got brunch drinks, sadly no Jack so Evan Williams whiskey and coke. Wife got a signature brunch cocktail. I ordered a Dr. Pepper as well which didn't arrive until the third time I asked and end of meal. Still that was the biggest issue so not bad. The same waiter did forget something at the table next to us as well but they got it taken off completely as they were done. He was young and a bit overwhelmed I think. Still very friendly and never ignored or forgot us. She got the Shrimp Benny and even when she loves the food she rarely finishes as she gets full fast. Oh my goodness, the brunch game is very strong here. You will have a very very difficult time choosing what you want because everything looks and tastes so good. Our group ordered a plate of beignet biscuits and everyone loved them, they didn't last long. I also had the most beautiful flavor combinations in a pancake with a stack of Lemon, Blueberry, and Goat Cheese pancakes. It was just as good as it sounds. I also had a lobster omelette, it was cheesy, rich, and delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their orders and I don't drink coffee but I got a report that the coffee was excellent. Tried out Another Broken Egg Cafe for the first time and I probably won't be back... I will say there is plenty of parking and the interior of the restaurant is decorated very cute. There is a nice mix of tables and booths as well. The staff was nice, they were just so, very very slow. We asked for a couple minutes to read the menu and waited ~10 min for anyone to come back, we ordered an item and were served something else (which they fixed, so that was nice!), we had to ask for coffee refills twice, we asked for more creamer and it never came - little things like that. Nothing terrible, just inattentive and slow. In terms of the food, it was average. I knew the huevos rancheros would likely not be authentic, but I hoped and I gave it a shot. The menu said served over tortillas, but it was not. It was served on fluffy chips. I'm used to fried eggs, refried beans, and that savory tomato chili sauce, but their version had runny eggs (barely "over medium") with no sauce and whole black beans instead. They did serve salsa on the side, but again it just didn't hit the spot, I read the menu craving traditional huevos rancheros and it didn't deliver. Overall, not a terrible experience. Just for me personally it did not meet expectations and was not worth the $18. read more

Like a vacation breakfast! I typically eat breakfast quickly in daily life. When I'm on vacation, my "go to" breakfast is Eggs Benedict. It's decadent and requires time to enjoy it. Well, on this unseasonably cold day in Austin, I wanted a vacation from work and the weather. Food and music can transport you to another place. The Eggs Benedict at Another Broken Egg Cafe did just that. I had the Blackstone Benedict with home style potatoes, and my guy had the Hash Brown Benedict with City Grits. We both loved our food-delicious hollandaise, perfectly toasted English muffin, and the eggs were poached with the right amount of runniness. The City Grits were divine- grits with smoked Gouda, chives, garlic, tomatoes and bacon. We had a 1/2 order of beignets as well-they were good, just more cakey than the famous Cafe de Monde in New Orleans. All in all, a delicious breakfast with excellent service. I went here with two friends on Sunday and we had put our name on the online waitlist 30 minutes in advance. When we got there and checked in, we almost immediately got a text that our table was ready. However when we went to the host stand, they said there had been a mix up and they had saved us a table for two instead of three... They told us our actual table would be ready in a few minutes. 20 minutes of waiting later, we FINALLY got seated. Our server forgot a few of our food/drink orders and service took so long that we ran late to our next event even though our name had been on the waitlist for over 30 minutes. This is my #1 brunch spot!! When I lived near the Domain, I would drive here for brunch instead. Tip: Get on their waiting list on their website to avoid a wait. (If you do have to wait, Randall's is fun to pursue.) They have quality food. Even the seafood is outstanding (and I'm from the East coast). It's a pretty good brunch place. You honestly can never go wrong with brunch, and this cafe is so busy on the weekends. Service was not that great in the beginning, but our waitress was really kind and let us know when she could get to us. She even gave us free beignets! I ordered crab eggs Benedict and my friend ordered a sandwich. I thoroughly enjoyed my crab eggs Benedict and how they put diced bell pepper on top of the Hollandaise sauce. I wish they had hash browns, but their potatoes are so good that I didn't mind that much. The old dishes and haunting filth is always such a let down. Another Cracked Egg was a breath of fresh air. One of the owners was walking around saying hi to customers. She offered us a basket of beignets. Mm. Messy, but delicious. I got a Baquezo, which is outside of my comfort zone. I was not disappointed.
