Had a party of six for a co-workers work anniversary. Everyone enjoyed their food. I ordered my steak smothered but they left it off. However, they still tried to charge me. I showed the waitress my Yelp pic and she got it removed from my bill. Clean dining area, friendly staff, and great service.

We came in for an early dinner. The waiter was knowledgeable and did his best to work with our needs. As someone who doesn't like food waste, we requested to share a meal. The waiter got everything to a T with the exception of the salad. He brought an extra bowl so we can split it at the table. The food was good. I mean it's a steak and potato, it's simple food. However the green beans, to me, need some help. From lack of flavor to seasonings, this was not for me. Didnt like where we were seated felt like we were the only ones in the section and away from all the other diners. Other than that, I'd come back.

After my last few days of battling allergies, I wanted some comfort food. Like a miracle, I received rewards today from Landry's from prior purchases that could be used at Saltgrass steakhouse. So, my hubby and I decided to use the rewards at their Happy Hour in the "No Bull Lounge." We barely made it in time for the Happy Hour by the hair of our chin chin chin, which is in full force Mon-Fri, 3pm-7 pm. Their Happy Hour prices are very reasonable. We ordered cheese fries, fried mushrooms and crab cakes...a large quantity of food. We ordered one pomegranate mojito also...according to Bobby, the bartender, was super popular. After eating one crab cake and few mushrooms, I felt extremely full. My hubby loved the cheese fries and ate the majority of the fries. The food came fast and hot. All the items were tasty and plentiful. Most of the food had to be packed for home. Saltgrass has some super interesting restrooms. For example, on the outside door it says cowgirls. However, when you leaving the women's restroom on the inside door it says cowboys. Imagine having a few drinks and coming out the restroom. You might get just a little turned around and think your mind is playing tricks on you. Saltgrass Steak House is a cool venue. It is heavy on the cowboy and country theme. In addition, you get that down home Southern hospitality vibe. We will definitely come back to explore more of their menu items.

I think things could have been much better. After hearing about this location from a local organization, I had better expectations of this steakhouse as a place to celebrate. The service was friendly but we were charged for an expensive drink we didn't order twice. The steak was unevenly cooked. That was a new low to me and I see why it's not good. The staff worsened the ambiance by standing around nearby before clocking out or something. And sweeping/vacuuming next to diners really destroyed the mood or what was left of it. I am not going back. I tried the place and they failed. Maybe it will be better for you. Try the cheesecake. Try the tender ribs. Get it to go.

My wife and child took me out to dinner for Fathers day as the actual day we work. They choose a steak house as I enjoy a good steak but cost and the fact neither of them like steak we rarely go. The service was good. I got a cajun steak with shrimp and crawfish and mashed potatoes. Shana got Redfish and M got Chicken. My steak wasn't cajun enough for me but it was good otherwise. The potatoes were fantastic and the crawfish was good. The others enjoyed their food. The shiner bread to start was tasty. The best part were the cocktails. Shana and I had two different ones and M got one. I got a frozen crown and coke which was delightful and a bourbon old fashioned that was good. Shana got a lucky penny and another classic whiskey cocktail. M got a pineapple drink. All were very good. It was a nice visit. They paid so I have no idea of the cost. We took home some cheesecake that was good. The place was nice and clean. Quiet as well.

I had a late birthday dinner with extended family here at a 5:15pm reservation. The staff was surprisingly young, yet dressed very well as usual. I only go to Saltgrass for the $25 Landry's discount every year (given on one's birthday) and I can't ever find a reason to go solo as it is the most overpriced steak chain in existence. I got the 10oz sirloin medium well (because I know they like to undercook their steaks here, at least in my experience), grilled shrimp, and brussel sprouts. It was all delicious, nothing special. Our server disappeared for a long time and we all sat without water for about 25 minutes. Other than that, she was wonderful. I find the ambiance of this restaurant tacky but appreciate the Texas feel. I'll be back on my next birthday...

Great Thanksgiving day dinner. I don't like turkey (sorry), so I had a great chopped steak with baked sweet potato and a fresh homemade chicken tortilla soup. All were on point. My wife had the full traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings. Everything was just right. Place was packed with mostly reservation diners. We arrived about 20 minutes early, but were seated immediately. Food came quickly, fresh and hot. Nice casual a little upscale environment. Everything was just right.

Wonderful food, very friendly waitstaff, and (in my opinion) an unbelievable pricetag. The restaurant felt good, comfortable, but still classy and well managed. My server Wesley was incredible and made the whole experience even better. Reminded me of a cozy country restaurant, with the quality of service coming in close to that of Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue WA.

Instantly greated when walking through the door. Seated immediately and was thanked for coming into dine. House salad with ranch is my favorite start to the meal. The Cajun ribeye is fantastic. Brussel sprouts amazing. Will come back whenever I'm in town. Five stars!

Safe to say my mom enjoyed her bday.

The steak I ordered was made to order perfect, as I like it mad rare and mooing, but had heavy seasoning on it. Not sure if that is signature to Perry's, as I'd personally rather let a good cut of steak speak for itself. It took away from the natural flavor, so I'd ask for no seasoning next time. My understanding is that Ember will validate, but it wasn't apparent to me how that works and honestly I walked out forgetting it and having to pay the bill for parking - oh well. I came with a party of six and we were celebrating a birthday. The team at Ember was very accommodating. We were seated downstairs in their "Speakeasy" room. It's a bit dark, but cool atmosphere. There are other dining options if you prefer a bit brighter setting. We were served complimentary birthday shots! These were quite tasty - enough so that I ordered another round of those citrus based shooters. Everyone at the table ordered a cocktail. Nearly all the cocktails on the menu are going to be served in a feminine looking glass and with a flower. The cocktail menu is pretty much for the ladies. On the bright side, they have a good selection of bourbons, tequila, etc available for straight pours at a decent price. Not extensive selection, but I think a good choice - enough that I think you will find something to fit your price point and taste profile. Our waitress was top notch. Very attentive and paid close attention to the orders from our gluten sensitive guest ensuring she ordered safely. We ordered a couple small plates as appetizers for the whole table. Everyone loved the crab cake. I thought it was tasty but wasn't expecting whole kernel corn in a crab cake so that threw me off a little. Market seafood crudo - this is a fish appetizer and as the name implies changes based on availability. The night we ate was a Hamachi or Salmon option. The salmon had a bit more of a spicy sauce so we chose that. It was a hit. We also chose a tuna tartare and it was fresh, good but didn't knock our socks off. When ready for the main course - our waitress had a number of off-menu specials to tell us about and honestly many were very interesting options. In fact, we chose to split a 50oz Tomahawk steak. This was a huge steak plated on a hot platter, already sliced off the bone with some fingerling potatoes. This was honestly the most expensive part of the meal (no surprise), but also the least impressive. Now visually it was a spectacle for sure, but the meat certainly had pieces that were tough with some large pieces of fat. Now I don't mind the fat, but when sliced there were a couple pieces that were nothing but fat, other pieces still that were mostly gristle. We all agreed the seasoning was just missing, it seemed to have no seasoning at all. It was also quite charred. One of the claims to fame here is their Josper oven and clearly it can put a good char on a steak. Some in our party liked it, but I thought it was a bit much. There can be fine line between a good steak crust and a burnt crust. I thought it was a bit much, and maybe why the seasoning seemed missing. On the bright side, it was cooked correctly to order. My only problem was, for the price, this was a complete miss. We also ordered scallops and the morida shrimp. Both were excellent. These were probably worth coming back for. The morida shrimp come served in a bowl with a rich sauce that was enjoyed by the whole party. The scallops come pan seared and were cooked perfectly - which is key to enjoying a good scallop. Be aware that the typical order of scallops though comes with only two scallops - rather light even for a single individual, because these were not on the "small plates" menu, it was supposed to be a full entree. Great experience overall, but we just felt not quite worth what we had to pay for it. Overall, it was just over $150 per person. What could have saved it - for that price, the steak HAS to be on point.
