Came here for a drink and small snack and to watch the game. The coconut shrimp was pretty good. Beer selection is smaller than next doors. It was not very busy in a Saturday. Our server was very nice. Even though we didn't order much she came back to check on us. There are typos on the menu so make sure you get more than what some of the boil items say...

The food was good! Lots of options for sauces and our server was good at explaining the different options. I really liked the vibes there.

The expansive indoor/outdoor space is dog- and kid-friendly, serving breakfast through dinner every day + TRIVIA Tuesdays. I'm always a fan of the TEXAS REUBEN & NY DELI PASTRAMI (both pair well with their extensive list of local craft & import brews), also a rockin' Bavarian-style PRETZEL + BEER CHZ (included in Happy Hour, weekdays) and my favorite to grab & go - PAIN AU CHOCOLATE with Austin's own DESNUDO Coffee. They have ordering via the QR code and was a bit sad when the espresso martini wasn't available to order. Soooo got the pumpkin pecan latte and a slice of banana bread. After the order was placed a gentleman stopped by to ask how things were to which I inquired about the espresso martini. They were able to make it and they weren't sure why the QR code showed it as unavailable. Latte was delicious and just the right temp, banana bread may have been better to order during the day as it was a tad dry on the outside but good inside. Not sure if they have the option to warm up as well which would have made it amazing. Espresso martini was also solid. Not too sweet, could taste the coffee and the foam was light and airy. I'd go back to have other things especially their pastries. Parking was a bit tough due to the shared parking lot and limited spaces right near the restaurant.

Gonna get busted at Busty's…read more This is my favorite dive bar in Austin. This place has personality and charm oozing out the wazoo. You can already tell this place has got character and kitsch to spare. The interior design has an old 70s biker bar with pool tables galore. When you go outside, there are so many artifacts of old on display making the ambience much more immersive. As for the food, I got the chicago dog and onion petals and my friends got various other dishes that we all shard. Perfect bar food. It's bar food so you just gotta expect bar food. But it was all still really good. The fries and petals were seasoned really well and I also got an espresso martini which was heavenly. I wish it had the bean though. The hot dog really got me correct.

The drink was good, but the tab felt high. I had watched two bartenders pour a strict 1 oz of Mezcal Union, so I asked the bartender today how much the drink cost. She told me $13. When I noted that felt a bit steep for a 1 oz pour, she shut down and said she didn't set the prices. Later, I was chatting with my boyfriend about how neither Busty's nor Frazier's list drink prices on their menus. The customer sitting next to me jumped into my conversation and said she was just saying the same. I mentioned the Mezquito was $13 for a 1 oz pour. The bartender overheard, looked annoyed, and snapped, "It's actually 1.5 oz." I am unsure why she did not say this earlier when I had first asked. I later tried to smooth things over, suggesting that maybe a newer bartender had just under-poured last week by mistake, adding that 1.5 oz was completely reasonable for the price. Instead of de-escalating, she told me I was cut off because she "didn't appreciate" me talking about the prices to other guests. I am writing this review right after leaving and I think it's clear that I'm not drunk. I have never seen a guest treated so poorly--let alone a regular--simply for discussing menu prices. It's an incredibly poor way to handle a situation. Regulars are the lifeblood of neighborhood bars, but the brunette bartender with the wavy hair just ensured Busty's lost two of theirs.

The beers are solid with a pretty good selection and I like that they have coffee options also. The food is also pretty good, tacos are tasty and last time we went we tried the shrimp and potato dorados- sort of like taquitos, a fun and different snack though I didn't taste a lot of shrim in them. We also recently tried their fried chickpeas- these are so addictive! They are super crispy with a strong lime/chili flavor on them. With the first bite it almost feels like too much but then you realize you've been snacking away and they are almost gone! Great with a cold beer :)

When I had visited before I do not recall going upstairs, so I took a peek. It pretty cozy and secluded upstairs, which would be ideal for studying or remote working to stay out of the fray. My barista, Robyn, told me the that the black and white graffiti covering the walls was done by Briks (IG: Brikslovkesyou). It is a combination of whimsical, gothic and cartoonish. I added a maple oat cold foam on top for a little bit of sweetness, but I probably would've preferred the drink without it. I couldn't really taste the maple from the foam (just the oat), and it detracted a bit from the cinnamon notes of the cold brew itself. The reason why I'm giving out four stars instead of five is because the drinks here don't really taste like what they're described as flavor-wise. My friends and I ordered a few of their seasonal lattes, including the Houjicha Sweet Potato Casserole Latte and the Browned Butter Pumpkin Pie Latte. The houjicha latte tasted nothing like sweet potato. We were really grasping for that sweet potato flavor, but it just wasn't there. The pumpkin pie latte also did not match the flavor description. That being said, we could tell that the underlying coffee within the drinks were delicious. I would definitely come here again but just for the basics--like a black coffee or plain espresso drink. The space itself is super cute. There is a lot of seating, making it a great place to chat with friends.
