lover boys cappucino, sea salt earl grey matcha
Catherine L.

both the coffee and tea here are amazing! i loved both the seasonal drinks we got. the lover boy's cappuccino had a raspberry note that was sweet and tart, perfectly balanced with the creamy, smooth espresso. the sea salt earl grey matcha was just as good, robust and earthy without being too sweet, finishing with a subtle savory touch. i also love the art on the walls! it gives the space a lot of personality. the tables can be a bit small if you're trying to do work, but it's still a great place to hang out. i'll def be back :D

Came here for an ATX girls meet up for morning coffee! The space is actually smaller than I expected but it's clean and has a nice small upstairs area. The menu had some interesting items like the Beet Latte! I don't drink coffee but that sounds really nice. I ordered a matcha $6.5 which only came in one size--10oz according to the barista. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich $6 it was small but mighty! Very delicious but kinda expensive for the size. My matcha was really bland. I would not order one from here again. Service was okay, no greeting or anything when I walked in. There's plenty of parking!!! Brewtorium is next door so there's other options for drinks/food!

This was my first time here. The barista was really nice despite being the only one working and the place being super busy. The decor is fun and funky with lots of seating, including a second floor. I decided to try the rosemary latte with almond milk. It was delicious. I could taste the rosemary but it wasn't overpowering. I love having the option of a ceramic cup rather than disposable to go cups. I will definitely be back.

Someone had fun decorating this coffee shop! Good coffee.

Enjoyed the coffee and the amazing graffiti style caricatures on the walls floor to ceiling! Just a short walk from Highland Station on the CapMetro light rail.

Love this place as a WFH spot! The coffee is amazing and it is a nice place to hunker down. The only downside is that most of the chairs don't have a back rest, so be warned! There are a good amount of outlets too. It's also right by crux gym, which is really nice in case you wanna climb. Sometimes the music can get loud, but it's definitely dependent on the day. I also tried the Turkish tea for the first time recently, and it was really good! Definitely recommend if you're looking for something refreshing

I was in search of a coffee shop to check out but also do a little studying and stubbled upon Spokesman prior to visiting. It is nestled between Crux Climbing and Brewtorium that is not too far from Airport Blvd. There is plenty of parking in a lot as well as on street parking. The space is open plan with a mezzanine level filled with seating. Since the space has high ceilings and has more of a studio vibe, it does echo and it can get be loud for a coffee shop but it shouldn't be a problem if you have headphones. Limited seating below, more like benches. I appreciate how they have wall plug outlets along the bench and free wifi! I only give this place four stars because my taco was not hot even though it was in a food warmer. The almond joy latte was good but it didn't scream almond joy flavor wise. I do appreciate the simplicity of the coffee menu as sometimes it can get overwhelming. This space might not be an ideal spot to study but a cool spot to hang out with its spray painted drawings/murals along the walls!

I've been knowing about Spokesman for quite some time and I finally had the chance to run in for some desperately needed caffeination. Man, was I missing out. The second I walked in, I was captivated by the graffiti-styled art lining every inch of the walls. As always, I love a well lit space to study in and it had plenty of natural lighting and seating. The barista taking my order was relaxed and kind, and my freshly made iced latte was out in a jiff. I was sad to leave so quickly, but I'm so glad I took a chance and came in to try it. Next time I'll definitely be back to hang for a bit.

I work from Spokesman from time to time, as it has wifi and some seating downstairs and upstairs. The music can be loud but usually it's at a nice level, which is nice for a chatting with friends or working. There's a good selection of beverages and snacks, so if you're not feeling coffee, there's probably still something for you. It's conveniently located right next to Crux, so I come here from time to time before/after climbing.

Wanted to work elsewhere and this was the spot as it had plenty of seating up, down and outside. Also quiet indoors. Very friendly staff as they made my latte and explained the unique breakfast menu. I had the kerlaches which I've never had and it was so good. I could've had more. I had a ginger latte which was a good serving. I mistake was made but wasn't a big deal, however I liked how they acknowledged it and were making another one without asking me as I didn't catch it. However I politely declined as it was not a big deal and minor milk substitute.

Stopped by Spokesman Coffee for a quick caffeine fix, and it did not disappoint! The vibe is amazing--perfect for getting work done with plenty of seating, including an upstairs mezzanine. They have WiFi, and my vanilla latte was solid. Definitely worth a visit!

I came here with my Austin coffee passport and enjoyed it! The vibes inside are so cool and filled with artsy touches - like all the murals and bike handles for taps! The barista was very nice and I liked the flavor of my ginger latte! I will definitely be back again next time I'm in town to try more menu items and enjoy looking at the murals in the cafe!

This coffee house is my new Austin favorite. I tried a lavender vanilla latte and it was delicious . The baristas were really nice and our order came out quickly. We decided to hang inside and finish our drinks. Nice noise level so we didn't have to yell over each other to talk. Lots of cool art all over the walls . There is lots of seating with an open area upstairs with more seating.

Comfortable. Quiet. I was just there for a quick business meeting so I only had coffee, but it was fine.

They're trying a lot of things - coffee shop with a bakery, dining restaurant, beer hall with craft beers. It does definitely get filled up in the mornings. We arrived and they have a great patio, had live music and there were quite a few people there. We elected to go inside since we had been out all day and we ordered beers, some deserts, and I ordered an 'Ol Fashioned. Oddly enough, great chocolate and a fantastic 'Ol Fashioned go well together. However, the brownie was really dry - seemed to a a few days old, and the drink was just OK. They indicated it would be made with a mix so that probably my bad. My friend had a couple of beers and another dessert but his feedback was the same. I would have liked to stay longer and come back on another night to see if my first visit was an anomaly. Great beer, great vibes, great food, fast service…read more We visited recently and had such a good time. While busy, we got through the line incredibly fast, had a lovely interaction with a staff person, and got a seat at a large table with no issue. We ordered a variety of salads (literally so good) and fries as well as flights of beer. I was really impressed with the beer (I had one with electrolytes that was so good)! Definitely a good spot for a group. Great place!

I loved the experience and will definitely be back later with friends. As an old school Euro beer afficionado, I was pleasantly surpised at the excellent menu https://thebrewtorium.com/drinks of options. When I mentioned it was my first visit, the excellent bartenders offered me tastes from several taps - yay! I tried a selection of pils, red ale, kolsch, and lagers before settling on a tasty Czech pilsner. Yes, they also have plenty of IPAs if that's your thing, as well as ciders, mead, wine, frozens, and tasty NA options. There are tons of standard bier garten picnic-style, communal tables inside - the space is cavernous - as well as some sweet shaded spots in the back outside facing Airport Blvd. You can park at the back of the side lot and access entry through the back patio area. If you do, you'll pass the axe throwing rooms and restrooms on your way down the long hallway to the main seating area. We had an assortment of dishes from their dining menu https://thebrewtorium.com/food , as well. The thin crust pepperoni pizza was excellent and I enjoyed the hummus with veggies and crispy bread sticks (mezze platter, maybe?). I have no idea about any of the prices since I didn't foot the bill for this meal, but from the diverse crowd I saw, I'd expect prices are on par with other beer halls in town. It is very nice to see that they have HH for some hours daily Sun - Fri ($7 burgers & select shareables Mon-Fri only), so scope those times if you want the best deal.
