This coffee shop is my all time favorite in Austin!! Every time the hubs and I come for a visit we have to stop at least 3 or 4 times. When walking in you automatically feel welcomed. There is a coziness I feel when I sit at a table or even more so when we lounge on the sofas. Our barista Tamara is the literary the BEST!! She always has a smile and the best hugs! I'm going to write this review in comparison to the other Bennu because that's the only way I know how to frame it. This place rocks! The baristas are super laid back, the music (depending) can be incredible, the americanos are great and they always hook me up with a splash of free oat milk, parking isn't a hassle at all, and the seating situation (even during school season) is never dreadful. Any coffee shop that is open for 24 hours has my heart. I think that's an underrated perk, especially in a big city. Night owls deserve a coffee shop too. So many coffee shops like to close at 3 or 4, so a shop that closes never is pretty big time. Located right off the ACC campus, Bennu Coffee was busy on the Sunday I went, with most tables being taken by people locked in on studying. Their menu was pretty expansive, but I got a vanilla latte while my girlfriend ordered one of their many mochas, which people told us they were known for. This is a great place to hang out. The cashier was very friendly and helpful and she spoke German and English. I loved the macarons they were delicious with several flavors to choose from. 1/4/2026 My wife and I were looking for a place to work around the area and Bennu was one of the few coffee spots open past 6 PM on a Sunday (24 hours!). We've been to the MLK location so we weren't sure what to expect on this one. We were lucky enough to find parking along the street when we arrived. When we entered the shop is pretty spacious with a variety of seating--big tables and smaller ones--nicely spread out. They do have some outdoor seating as well and there are a couple couches for anyone looking for something more comfortable. I ordered an iced latte and a blueberry muffin, basic but good! The surface is OK they don't have enough options for different types of water. They have tables and chairs and it was pretty busy today. The lighting is OK. Music is OK. It looks like a inside warehouse and lots of people are just sitting minding their own beeswax on their computer and cell phone so it's not very uppity and upbeat. A few tables that need to be cleaned patio outside have metal chairs and metal tables somewhat needs to be cleaned up. The paint job needs to be fixed. He needs a facelift windows needs cleaning. I live in the building where this place is located. It's nice inside, even though frequently very packed, but sadly their employees possess the stereotypical Gen Z attitude, giving minimal effort, if any, in customer service and in making the drinks. As a result, a lot of drinks aren't good and service and friendliness is severely lacking. I'm not a student and I don't need a place to study or work, but it is convenient to get coffee or tea and a pastry or other food, since I live right by it. I used to frequent the east location when I was a student, and the quality of the drinks and food was much better then. I see other reviews mention similar problems, so maybe they do not care about providing good service and making quality coffee, and instead focus on providing internet and a place to work or study for people, since a lot of people will go despite the shitty service just because they need a spot like this. Unfortunately, because of the lack of service, quality, and care for the items prepared I find myself going to the other coffee places nearby, such as Paris Baguette. I would definitely find myself supporting this local establishment if things changed, but for now, I cannot fully recommend. I gave it 3 stars, however I would actually give it 2.5. read more

I have been here many times to meet up with friends, and I joined a book club that meets here every other Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. It has always been easy for me to find parking in the parking garage, but there is also street parking available. Since it is open 24/7, it is the perfect place to do some reading or studying. There are a lot of people here at night, but I have always been able to find a seat. They have a variety of seating here, including tables, couches, high-tops, and lounge chairs. They have a ton of outlets, including at the tables, so you can plug in your electronics. The noise volume is quiet, perfect for concentrating on whatever you need to get done. They do not allow outside food or drinks. They offer wifi if you make a purchase, and they have a free water station. There is a printer near the front door with instructions on how to pay and use it. The is a bookcase near the ordering counter with board games you can borrow as well as Bennu T-Shirt merchandise available for purchase. Overall, this is a great coffee shop if you want a place to go to concentrate on a project where you will be surrounded by focused people. read more

Bennu is a 24/7 cafe located right next to highland acc. there is free wifi availible contingent on you buying a food/beverage and the wifi code comes with your food. the wifi will reset every 3 hours, then you must go buy another item for a new wifi code. the food and coffee is really good, and moderately priced, so i am okay with this system personally. the bennu aesthetic is very cozy and quiet, and theres lots of outlets availible to plug in devices. overall, this is a great place for studying and i highly recommend bennu! read more

I had a business meeting with a colleague and met at Bennu. Ordered a bagel to be a fair customer. I only ate half because I was focused on other matters. Then, I asked for it to be wrapped and the barista handed me a paper bag she said "are you serious". Put bagel in bag without the CC or napkins next to it. Came here at 2 am after the bar because we didn't want to go home but still wanted to chill and drink something. Service was great, I had an amazing Italian soda. Bathrooms clean, it was quiet inside where everyone was dutifully studying or working. So my friends and I hung outside as to maintain the quiet atmosphere inside. This review is based solely off of my attempts to even TRY to come here. I have tried to come on two separate occasions for a coffee and research session. And every single time, the place is so incredibly packed, that there isn't even ONE seat open inside or outside. The ambience looks nice, but so far in each of my attempts, it's been impossible to find anywhere to sit. And now I'm learning that they put time limits on your Wi-Fi usage? Ehhhh..... you're better off going to epoch coffee on NW Loop blvd which is literally an 8 min drive from ACC highland... That place is also a popular spot, and open 24/7, but I've never had any issues so far finding seating (even on weekends), and they don't limit your WiFi useage. read more

Cozy, clean, and PACKED, I stopped in here on a Tuesday to give myself a change of scenery while I worked on a little crochet project I needed to get done. It was almost impossible to find a seat. To be fair this location is right next to ACC so I should have guessed it would have been full. Thankfully it's spacious with plenty of options, think bar tops, chairs, sofas, and cushioned seating. There were lots of folks reading and researching on their laptops and such. The interior is bright and has the standard quirky café vibes. I saw a staff member go through a moveable bookshelf which was pretty neat. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and it was so yummy! I'll be back for a pastry and a blended drink in a unique flavor. When on adventures, most mornings start with a coffee. In keeping with the grand tradition, I find myself perched on a couch in Bennu writing this up. First off, while are looks brand new. Facility included. There's kids riding bikes, people walking dogs, there's a yoga joint next door. People are on the patio and in the spacious lounge. Great spot to study, read, learn, or catch up. The staff are nice to chat with, they put up with my questions and even offered a sample during my beverage deliberations. I was gonna do the iced Bennu, the sample was great. A little too sweet for me. But then the barista told me to go for pumpkin. With that kind of affirmation for my love of pumpkin in the fall, how could I not? No regurts [sic]. I really enjoyed the ambiance of this Bennu Coffee location compared to the one at Martin Luther. The coffeehouse is much bigger with more seating and parking options. There are two parking garages so even if you're unable to grab a parking spot at the garage right next to the coffeehouse there is one not too far from it. Instead of a disposable cup, my Pride and Prejudice mocha was in a big glass mug. Since I went to the coffeehouse on Saturday finding a seat was a bit more difficult since there were a lot of people there working with assignments. This location didn't have loud music so it was super easy to focus in on my own work with no distractions. The restroom area had 3 gender inclusive stalls and were clean as well. Love the vibe here-- also the fact that it is located by ACC meant that the scenery in the location was top notch! read more

People are working so you are motivated to work too - this system works great for me lol Cons: Drinks are mediocre, I got a peach ginger tea which is not bad but forgettable. The service was lackluster, the people werent that enthusiastic about serving it feels like a big chain experience. The place is really crowded with students from Austin Community College as Bennu is on the school's campus. I saw that they have some vegan pastries but I'm not too tempted since Paris Baguette is just walking distance from Bennu and they make wonderful sweet treats :) I miss that dearly after moving to the US from Asia.
