Bees Knees.
Misty D.

We visited this spot on a sunny day, hoping for a great patio experience. The ambiance is top tier. The service is fine We ordered a Sam Adam's and The Bees Knees. The bees knees was meh. Def not worth $16. We might be back to try the food.

THIS IS SO GOOD!! I was really surprised. I thought it was just going to be a regular salad but it is SO TASTY and healthy. I LOVE IT!!! Great job on the salad and also love the ambiance and chill vibes

Brisket Nachos

I stopped here after a work event because I'd missed lunch and was starving. The waitress told me the brisket nachos would be a lot of food and boy was she not kidding!! This kitchen & bar is located inside of a hotel, so parking is free and it's a great option if you're staying at the hotel or attending an event nearby. The nachos were delicious, but I'd highly recommend sharing them with several people! It wasn't too crowded, but I definitely felt like the waitress was focusing more on people sitting outside as it was nigh on impossible to track her down for the bill and to get a container. She was very friendly, but mentioned she'd only been there ~2 weeks. I'm not sure how they section off the area for different guests, but I do wish she had been more present as I spent quite a bit of time waiting. There was a singer who came by later in the afternoon/evening, so I'm sure that would be lovely to enjoy with dinner. As far as seating, it's a bar, several high tables/benches, booths, and individual tables...plus even more seating outside! Food was very reasonable priced and I'd absolutely come back, but I think next time I'll just sit at the bar.

A nice sample food.

What a wonderful place! We came for a meet and greet that was hosted by Knotty Deck. The food was amazing with three areas with bbq, another with Mexican food and meats and cheese. We sat in the bar for a glass of wine before the event started and the bartender was fun! The outdoor area was really nice with plenty of seating. Def have to try this again.

Great atmosphere and a fun staff. Decided on the Catch of the Day. It was Red Snapper with a Tex/Mex flair. I thought it was outstanding. I'd definitely order it again. Nice draft beer selection and plenty of spirits to choose from.

Love sitting out on the patio and inside. Nice and quiet, great food, and anyone can sit and eat. You do not have to be staying at the hotel. The service is great and everyone has been nice.

Fish taco - right amount of everything. So good. Seasonal pasta with shrimps - feel like it's light even though it's creamy and heavy. So so good.

The Knotty Burger

I was in the mood for a burger so using Yelp to find the best spot, I came to Knotty Deck & Bar. It's located inside of a hotel. The lobby was very clean and smelled divine. The restaurant has open seating so I sat near the bar. I could see outside to their deck with outdoor seating and lounging furniture. My server was extremely polite and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Knotty burger which also has smoked brisket. Y'all!! It was soooo good!! They even brand the bun with their name which I thought was a nice touch.

Knotty burger and fries

This is an average hotel restaurant and bar. I dined here once for dinner and once for breakfast while on a recent business trip. Service was quick and friendly. Staff and other hotel guests do not wear masks, but totally expected in Texas and did not bother me. I had the Knotty burger for dinner and it was not your regular ground beef burger. This burger was a brisket burger and surprisingly tender, juicy and flavorful. I wouldn't mind dining here again the next time I'm in town, but sadly don't plan to stay at the Renaissance Austin again.

Caesar Salad w/ shrimp

Love that the restaurant is apart of The Renaissance Hotel. Typically, for anything food related for hotels, the food is overpriced. But in regards to quality, it actually is t to bad and they have good meals. I've tried their award winning mac and cheese (excellent choice). If you add shrimp to the salad, it's an additional $7, but you only get 3 pieces of shrimp lol. You can also add chicken for $5, but not sure how much protein will be added. The shishito peppers are a great app, some of the peppers have a kick to them, some of them don't. The side sauce that comes with the peppers are fantastic! If you decide to go for breakfast, their meals are hearty and servings are pretty big. Service can be extremely fast or slow, just depends on how slammed they are. But even if they are slammed, all staff is super professional.

2 hours for some sweet potato fries and a steak! Service is horrible. No one come and check on you. Just disappointed even start at this hotel. Won't come back.

Margarita and the Lilith #4 cocktail

Amazing food and great drinks, but more than that, the service is FANTASTIC!! Carly and Ram at the bar are some of the best bartenders I've ever had - attentive, accommodating, and they make delicious drinks. I chose to stay in at the hotel almost every night of my stay because I knew for sure I would have a great experience with them taking care of me. They both deserve a generous tip and a raise! Worth stopping by just for a delicious cocktail and to say hi to the amazing staff.

Great views, great service from Jennifer, but drinks are expensive. Hotel bar though so it's expected.

Easily booked a reservation and was able to request seating on the patio overlooking the lake! The decor and overall vibe is extremely welcoming and several guests took advantage of the photo ops with the lake background. One colleague had the Huckleberry Bramble and we shared Shrimp Cocktail...the sauce wasn't quite atomic, could use more horseradish (my palate may be spoilt by St Elmo's). Both colleagues ordered the Salmon while I opted for the Roasted Duck. There was a significant period of silence when we first sampled our meals soaking in every flavor. We all devoured and commented on the green beans as well! I tried the Pecan Pie for dessert and it was outstanding and very rich! We had a great meal and will return on a future trip I'm sure!

Ambiance is good, we mostly sit outdoors, service is always great, last two times Evan took care of us, and he's awesome. We don't eat anything with beef or pork, and in Doc Bs, even with that restriction they have so many options, especially with chicken, cocktails are bit pricey, but it's same in all the places in Domain, but they are solid, my go to drinks are Beverly Hills martini, crazy beautiful and the internal affairs. Hubby usually gets done local drafts. Food: my son loves habanero honey glazed fried chicken with jalapeño potatoes. I like naked chicken wings(Thai sweet and spicy sauce on the side), or chicken kebab, which I usually have leftovers almost always. Hubby likes there , the number six sandwich. Their kungpao Brussel sprouts are addictive(but it's not a regular thing). And even though we have been here N number of times, we are always so full and never make it to dessert, but this time had decided to try dessert, hubby and me shared house made Oreo ice cream, I love love ice cream and there Oreo ice cream is one of the best Oreo ice cream I've ever had, and that warm not too sweet chocolate sauce was just perfect. Vida Verde Kitchen -- A Hidden Gem That's Worth Finding…read more Austin is overflowing with trendy restaurants where the food is decent, the lighting is aggressive, and the wait time requires a light snack and a personality shift. I tend to avoid those places. Vida Verde Kitchen, thankfully, is not that. Tucked into a great area but slightly hidden (the kind of spot you feel proud to "discover"), Vida Verde feels like a restaurant that exists for people who actually want to eat, not just post. The menu is a thoughtful fusion of Tex-Mex, fresh flavors, and Americana--familiar enough to be comforting, but creative enough to keep things interesting. Yes, it's a bit overpriced, but the food earns its confidence. The guacamole is an absolute must, and anything leaning Tex-Mex is consistently solid. I can vouch. The wait staff deserves real credit here--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in the food and experience, which goes a long way these days. The atmosphere hits that Austin sweet spot: industrial touches softened by lush green foliage. It's stylish without trying too hard, which is rare and appreciated. If I had one note? This place needs a happy hour and a few more solid specials. Do that, and Vida Verde becomes dangerous--in the best way. Overall: a unique, thoughtful restaurant that avoids the hype trap and delivers where it matters. Definitely worth your time (and thankfully, not hours of it).

I got the Piggyback Shrimp Tacos with a side of seasonal vegetables (which was grilled zucchini), and I liked the pairing of the shrimp with chorizo as it made the tacos more filling, which is not done often with shrimp tacos. The tacos also came with a very spicy salsa that I just had to take to go because it was soo good. If you want your money's worth, my sister recommended the shrimp fajitas as it comes with the most food and the shrimp was actually good. The service was fast and the waitress was very nice. It retained a lot of the old decor from Delucca which made it feel familiar, and it was nice and quiet.
