I went on a Sunday and there were about 3 or 4 other parties there. Most were sitting at the bar, I wasn't greeted and there was no acknowledgment from the girl working there so I sat at the bar too for my best chance at service. The red salsa didn't taste like it was made in house but the green salsa did Agua Fresca was good size and not overly sweet Portion of nachos was good Only one server/bartender working so she took a while to take drink and food order Service was lacking but I would go back to try some of their other menu options. Me Gusta has a full menu of great food and drinks. The waitstaff were welcoming and friendly, very knowledgeable of all menu items, and attentive to our needs throughout the time of our visit. The atmosphere is pleasant and very comfortable. read more

Newer and a welcomed addition to the area....Me Gusta is Gaudy with its Purple vibe, but we liked it....Service was just OK ....phone distractions were obvious....Started with the usual suspects...Queso, Salas and Chips...Salsa had a nice kick, Chips crisp and fresh...Queso was no more than canned Cheese not Queso....just OK, but a few scoops of salsa helped...Wife went with the Ground Beef Enchiladas with Red Sauce and double rice...Sauce had a great flavor, Meat seasoned well and the rice was light, fluffy, and was pretty dang good....I had the Chicken Enchilada with a Poblano Sauce....which is extremely rare to find...Excellent flavor...Chicken Tender and seasoned perfectly...Beans were on point...Rice good...They have some unique sauces, but was disappointed that 2 were not available...both spicy, something I truly enjoy. This place has been open for about 3 months and at this point there's only seven reviews, but they lack some specifics. Inside you'll find a colorful interior with a glazed purple floor, 4 tables and 5 booths to sit at and another 10 seats at the bar. They have a really nice full bar, a couple of beers on draft, but no local craft beer. Where they shine is their numerous drink concoctions from the bar and their spicy red sauce. They do have a happy hour 3 to 6 M-F which is $3.50 for beer only. One unique item you'll find here is something they call the bassucazo which holds 88 ounces of beer that you can dispense at your table. Their food menus are featured under glass at your table, but you'll need to ask for the bar menu. After ordering a couple of drinks, I decided on the beef burrito and my wife had the chicken nachos. I subbed the refried beans for Charro, however, I had mixed feelings about the burrito. It was fairly flavorful, but it was made with finely chopped and somewhat tough overcooked meat surrounded by too much rice. The chicken nachos sat on a bed of thick deep fried chips which were unlike the complimentary ones. My wife liked the fact they incorporated lots of veggies into the nachos, but did not care for the chips beneath so she ordered a side of corn tortillas ($2) which for some reason are colored light purple with food coloring, so we were told. This place has a lot of things going for it such as a small stage at the back where occasionally they have mariachis playing, and they are open late to 1 a.m. on Saturday. I'd rate the food we were served at around three stars, but the service, drinks and ambience is closer to four stars. When it's time to settle up, they'll bring around the handheld device for your credit card with the predetermined tips or pay the QR code on the bill. If and when we return again, we will probably focus our attention more on the seafood side of the menu since that seems to be their strong suit. Plenty of parking and nice bathrooms. The food here was pretty good. The service we received was not good. I hate having to ask for plates or silverware when I dine in a restaurant, and I had to ask for both. Silly for me to assume that when I asked for a plate to eat my appetizer I thought the waitress would know that I needed silverware as well. And upon receiving my meal which consisted entirely of meat I had to ask for a knife. I was asked if I wanted a second margarita and never received it. When we were done with our meal I was again asked if I wanted another margarita, I declined. My experience with this waitress was bad enough for me to not want to go back. read more

I visited Me Gusta recently when I was in Austin. The food was so good! The drinks were great as well. I had the Pina Colada and then had to have another! So good! The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The decor was what drew me in. It was bright and inviting. I would definitely recommend Me Gusta! read more

We visited as a party of five after hearing great things about this restaurant, and we're so glad we checked it out! I ordered the fajitas and they were absolutely amazing. They also offer a great assortment of juices and mixed beverages. The service was excellent, and the owner even came by to check on us--such a nice touch. 4/27 - Edit of initial review. We had friends meet us at Me Gusta and none of us will return. They arrived first & ordered queso. It took a good 30 minutes to get it. We presented our coupons from the first visit for a 50-cent margarita to our server, Giselle. She insisted we edit our initial review naming Anahi & change to her name, for her to provide the free drink. Seems Anahi no longer works there. Giselle's service was terrible, the ribs we ordered were dried out pieces of rock, the beef for the tacos & fajitas tasted terrible, and this is all given there were only 4 other customers in the restaurant. We will not return to this restaurant. And unless things change, their doors will not stay open long. It was horrible. One more thing, do not take your children there. The wait staff were dress with less clothing than Hooters. And they were not fit enough to be dressed like that. Their shorts were way too small for their bodies & their stomachs hung out. While I'm not in perfect shape, I dress appropriately. Shame on the owner for not only hiring them but letting them on the floor, by themselves. All they seemed to really care about was how loud they could turn up that awful music. It was horrible. They did not seem to know the menu, nor how to split a check. Do not go to this restaurant, you will not like it. This was our first visit here and OMG. Anahi spoiled us with the best service we could ever want! The food is beyond anything we could have expected. I had the best fajitas I've ever had. And the desserts were incredible. This is our new favorite Mexican food in the Austin area. You have to check this place out. We will be bringing all our friends here. To get such fresh food at great prices, you don't get this combo anymore. I enjoyed the ambiance but the fajitas were overcooked so they were very tough very flavorful but they left a lot of gristle so very dangerous to eat most people probably end up swallowing it because I couldn't chew it was so tough also I had the El pastor burrito and it was a rice burrito 90% rice good flavor just $14 worth of rice and a quarter ounce of meat, my class was empty from the cook that I ordered and my order took an extra 5 minutes longer than my partners and she didn't ask me if I wanted some more to drink just sat down the food and walked away came back and then I had a motion or bring some water because there's no refills on drinks so I really wish it would have worked out better but again the beef I got the combination fajitas and the beef was just so so tough my dog couldn't chew it because it was overcooked people need to understand that skirt steak doesn't need to be well done like that it should be medium well tender and cut with the grain read more
