Me and my boyfriend came here for lunch the other day and had such a good experience I wanted to make sure to leave a review! To be completely honest we originally were planning to go to the Cabo Bob's next-door but did not realize that they were closed on Sunday and when we were walking through the parking lot we could smell the food from Texas roadhouse so we decided to come here instead. I was very happy with this change of plans because a stake for lunch wasn't what I was planning on but it really hit the spot. Texas Road House (TRH) is one of my favorite local steak restaurants. I know it's not up there with "Flemings" and "Perry's" or "Steiner Ranch". But it's consistent in the way they cook their meat. It comes out perfectly, just as I requested. Seasoned to perfection. Today I used my Veterans coupon. I ate free and my wife enjoyed a half a rack of ribs. 6 oz sirloin itself is only 250 calories. They've started using nasty sliced cheese that won't melt under a blow torch (yes the video will be out on YouTube, TicToc , and Instagram.). They use to use real graded cheddar -- now they are cutting corners and the food quality is cocking the drain. The hotdog was inedible and since it was for my dog (who eats anything) that's saying something. Quality is starting to be hit and miss. We've been eating here on a weekly basis for the last 7 years. It's a real shame that a restaurant once known for excellence is turning into something not worth the effort. Disappointing doesn't come close. I don't know how Texas Roadhouse does it; the service is always a 10/10 in all locations I've been to thus far. We got their blooming cactus and it was yummy. The sauce is good with it. This might not be the fanciest steakhouse but I've never had a bad meal here! There's almost always a wait regardless of the time and that just shows how much it's loved. Make sure not to wear shoes inside your home type of gross. Food itself was ok. I think the only thing that really wow'ed us is the bread with cinnamon butter. Dropped by Texas Roadhouse for some good ole' fashioned red meat. My husband said they had a prime rib on the menu and was sold. It is a smoked prime rib so it's not as juicy as a regular one but it is very tasty!!! Dip that in the horseradish and Au jus and satisfied my red meat craving. Went here for dinner with my husband, and we are Texas Roadhouse Regulars. We didn't have to wait at all to be sat (~7pm on a Thursday) and our waiter was super prompt at taking orders and getting food out and drinks refilled. Our food was perfect (medium rare ribeye), of course the rolls and they even had a bag of peanuts on our table, which I really miss the peanuts from pre-covid. This review is for the new Texas Roadhouse in Leander. Very clean. Great waitstaff. The reception desk is very efficient. Much better than other locations. You can tell whoever did the training for this location is really good. The only issue is every time we have been here our steak comes out under cooked and has to go back and comes back just a touch better but not medium well. The cooks need to hone their skills which should come with time so not holding it against them. We have been here 4-5 times since it opened. Overall the best one in the Austin area. Just work with those cooks to get the steaks right and every aspect will be 100%. read more

They consistently give poor seating based on personal bias, and when their obvious prejudice toward interracial couples is called out, they respond with hostility. The entire time we were there, I got hateful glares from at least three Texas Roadhouse employees after saying I didn't want to sit in the most congested area where I was bumped 3 times by people walking by. Weird how we were the only couple in the entire restaurant seated not at a booth with plenty open. One incident is coincidence. Three is a pattern. It only happens at this location. This place is bustling. Thursday @ 6:30 PM. We had a party 22 and they were gracious enough to have our tables ready within half hour. Pleasantly surprised as I sat in there very small waiting area watch families come in one after the other. Our waiter Dylon immediately approached us, brought us waters. Was there for us the entire time, nonstop thank you very much for the excellent service. The menu prices are perfect for a large family to afford. It seems everyone at the table was a regular so they knew exactly what they wanted and everybody enjoyed their meal. My first time there I had the cup of chili and it was way too salty. My steak was cooked to the desired temperature., mushrooms had intense flavor, the green beans are the best in the land and you can't go wrong with taters and gravy. Most people get a bad rap because to go food sucks however this place handles it with love and passion!! The service is always spot on and it's a go specialist really take the time to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your meal! This trip was brought to you by my birthday, I received a gift card to Texas Roadhouse. We don't normally come here or even really think about it. It is close but just never comes up when we choose, not sure if that says more about us or them. We have been two or three times, It is always fine. Nothing so far has been outstanding or awful. The waitstaff is friendly and mostly fast, the drinks are good. Price is not unreasonable and it has lots of room. To be fair we don't come here a lot as mentioned so this is based on the few visits over several years. Again, not a bad place just not one that made us say we should add it to our list of places to eat at more often. I asked the server if I could get a porterhouse, he checked and said yes, and I asked to pick one out. The manager came out and said it would be a minute because he had to get the meat cutter to cut some new ones. He personally brought me 3 to choose from that were all beautiful. When it came to the table it was perfectly cooked. Everything else was excellent. You can't beat service like this! For keto and carnivore diners, it's a good choice because they use real butter to grill the meat, no nasty seed oils. This visit, I sat at the bar. Cool atmosphere at the bar - friendly conversations between patrons and with the staff. Service was great, polite, professional, and interactive. The bartenders were very busy, taking care of making drinks for the entire restaurant, but still were able to provide good service to the packed bar. Food was mixed. The grilled shrimp appetizer was delicious as always. For the main course, I ordered the roadkill (a chopped steak, served with mushrooms, cheese and other goodies). I ordered it cooked, medium rare, and asked the server if it could be prepared that way... She said "absolutely". It took an extraordinarily long time to arrive, and when it did, it was cooked well done... Well beyond well done to the point that it was not even edible. They offered to make me a new one (I am always hesitant to send food back) I accepted but again asked how it could be cooked - and again I was promised a medium, rare cook. It arrived, well done, no pink at all, but it was edible. Obviously, there is a food quality issue here that is demanding that the chopped steak be cooked well done or incompetence in the kitchen. Sometimes, with hamburgers and chopped steaks the quality of the meat dictates how they have to be prepared... It just would've been good to know, and I probably would've ordered something else.
