This order was delivered to us for a catering event. The ordering process was smooth and efficient while also being delivered at the scheduled time. For fifteen people, the total cost was $425.69. This included delivery costs and taxes, but no tip. It consisted of three meats, two sides, and a dessert along with pickles, onions, bread, and BBQ sauce. There was also a set of utensils delivered, but plates were forgotten, but not a big deal. Brisket - This was definitely the best item eaten of the day. It was tender and juicy while adding the BBQ sauce giving that extra bite. The BBQ sauce was great regardless, a little bit of sweet and smoky flavor going on. Pulled Pork - This was another solid meat choice. I did not think it was as tender as the brisket, but it was still enjoyable especially with that BBQ sauce, which was key throughout the meal. Sausage - This was not bad. The snap on this threw me off a little, but it was not too bad. They were large links and had plenty of flavor. Gouda Mac & Cheese with Smoked Bacon - This was actually penne pasta with little pieces of the bacon. I actually preferred this pasta choice here. It really soaked up the cheese sauce. The sauce was not too over powerful and was just right. Beans with Smoked Bacon - These were not too bad. I thought they were a little liquidity, but the added bacon pieces definitely helped. Banana Pudding - This came in individual cups, which was nice. The pudding was thick with a little meringue or whipped cream present and a few wafer cookies on top. I was at the Austin Rodeo and looking for something good to eat. While most food items there are fried whatever's I spotted this food trailer. I never seen it before and wanted to try their bbq. Great looking trailer and waited in line to order. I decided get a sliced brisket sandwich with chips. Apparently there were not allowed to sell drinks at this event but I was already planning to get a beer at the craft beer tent. Soon my food was ready and looked great. I took it into the craft beer tent and ate it. The bbq tasted great and was very moist. I was impressed and glad I made the decision to order my lunch here. We hit up this trailer after I showed my cousin the ins-and-outs of downtown all day. We needed a little grub after the cocktails. We ended our downtown crawl on Rainey and decided to hit up Gebby's. The gentlemen running the place are really nice. I explained my cousin's food restrictions (in regards to their sides), and they recommended the coleslaw. Everything was delicious. I can't speak to their sauce (cousin's food restrictions), but my goodness! We wolfed this meal down like we hadn't eaten in days. Their brisket was phenomenal and the slaw was great. This review is for their catering service. I work for a government entity and we are required to receive numerous quotes before choosing a vendor. We found Gebby's BBQ to be reasonably priced compared to other Austin BBQ restaurants. From the beginning, both Chris (The Owner and Master Pit Man) and Elizabeth to be extremely professional and prompt. Any questions or changes needed on the quote, they were on top of anything we needed. The day of the event, they arrived early as they said they would and set up quickly. The aroma of the food was wonderful throughout our venue. We had a handful of vegetarian/vegan employees and the offer a smoked vegetable tray with corn tortillas as one of their options. The food we chose was a 3 meat plate with 3 sides and cookies for the dessert. We chose Brisket, Turkey and Sausage. For the sides, we had Gouda Mac and Cheese, Creamed Corn and Beans. Everything was extremely delicious and the feedback I gathered from numerous employees was nothing but positive reviews on the food. They even allow us to KEEP the leftover food! This was awesome as we had a few bbq quotes that STATED that we could not keep the leftover food! When we had our tasting prior to, I was almost skeptical because the BBQ was just SO good I assumed we were just getting shown the best of what they had.
