The Black Eyed Peas were bold and spicy, with chunks of smoky burnt ends mixed in. Definitely not shy on seasoning. They serve everything on compostable plates which I really appreciate. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff. They mentioned the menu rotates often, so what's on today might not be there next time. Small batch, small menu, but worth it. The truck was set up at the brewery, so there's plenty of seating--inside, shaded, or in the sun--and drinks come from the brewery itself. The ribs were good, but nothing really stood out to me. I think I'm just used to a different style of BBQ. The yams definitely tasted like they came from a can, and the mac & cheese... let's just say it could use a little more love. I also grabbed the sausage sandwich. It was okay, but I'm used to homemade links with a deeper smoky flavor, and this one just didn't have that barbecue smoke profile I was looking for. To be fair, maybe I just caught them on an off day. I was literally the only customer there, and at first I honestly thought they were closed. Now... being from Houston, it's hard not to compare BBQ.
