Located in the heart of downtown, DittyDog embodies Austin's food truck spirit with its delicious variety of hot dogs and fries. We got the traditional DittyDog and Bulgogi fries and they were so good. The DittyDog was sprinkled with crispy onions and doused in honey-mayo and ketchup. Each bite led with a satisfying crunch and ended with mouth-filling, juicy flavor. The Bulgogi fries were loaded with meat, cheese, and everything in between. It complemented the DittyDog nicely and brought a new definition to fries for me. Absolutely delicious, I would definitely recommend visiting DittyDog if you're downtown or elsewhere in Austin!

Oct 2024 menu and pricing - A menu board at DittyDog in Austin, TX, shows various hotdog options including Bratwurst, Veggie, and Vegan dogs, along with fries, extras, and drinks. The board lists prices and descriptions for each item, with handwritten notes and a section for additional sauces. The background includes a red and yellow striped design, and the lighting is provided by a ceiling-mounted light fixture.

The Ditty Dog food truck was close to our hotel and only a couple blocks from Sixth Street. We ordered takeout after a night of drinking and this place didn't disappoint! We ordered the beef dogs ($6) which come fully loaded including optional spicy sauces. The Bulgogi Fries ($12.99) was SO GOOD. Usually when I order Bulgogi fries elsewhere, I find the beef too chewy. But at Ditty Dog, the beef was melt in your mouth good-- you have to try it! There were a couple of benches in front of the truck that could seat about 6 each. Our food was ready maybe 5 minutes after we ordered but it was also pretty late on a Sunday night. I'd definitely come back here again.

Stopped by for a glizzy after a concert at Stubbs - the Ditty Dog is IT! For $7 it is a 1/4lb beef Frank, grilled perfectly and then covered and smothered with all the goodies. Wow did it SLAP! We were shocked by how delicious and affordable it was (we had a similar loaded hot dog a few months ago after a concert at Moody and it was double the price and half as tasty). We ordered bacon ranch fries to go and sadly, they did NOT slap nearly as hard as the dog but that's likely because they cooled down significantly between pick up and home. Had these been enjoyed as soon as they were ready they too would have been amazing. The loaded fries are almost twice the price of the dog but they are definitely a lot more substantial in size. This spot is a MUST if you're in the area and looking for that night time snack - the dog is out of this world so don't miss out!

I am always looking for a late night spot when I'm in Austin. I was so thankful to find this place and can't believe I have stumbled upon it sooner! Ditty dog is OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING and the team there is so sweet and kind. The service here was quick and great. I got the ditty dog made with a beef frank and made absolutely no modifications cause something just felt right about this place. The toppings are the perfect additions you didn't know you needed. From the crispy onions, caramelized onions, to the condiments and anything else I may have missed, it was perfectly balanced flavor profile and a satisfyingly crunchy texture to chomp down. With an ice cold soda? Sheeeesh! We live in San Antonio but this place is definitely worth the drive. My mother enjoyed hers the next day and I even had a second one (cold) the next day too and we still absolutely loved it. We are already talking about coming again soon and showing our friends. Highly recommend checking it out. Also: This is a food truck so expect to look for a nearby parking spot or lot.

I finally got to try a vegan hot dog from this spot, and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, especially for a food truck. I've never had a fully loaded vegan hot dog before, but this one really hit the mark. The toppings were perfectly balanced, giving a creamy, sweet, and crunchy experience. My only suggestion would be to toast the bun--it fell apart easily with all the toppings, making it a bit tricky to eat.

This hotdog was just meh. Got it after a Thursday night out. I guess it's a decent option if you're downtown and drunk -- I was definitely both of those things. Staff are really nice and service is quick.

There is no better place to grab a late night bite. I don't even really like hotdogs, but I will never say no to a ditty dog. The food comes out quick and extra hot. The area is very lively with music, tables, and other surrounding food trucks. No complaints about the service.

Stopped at DittyDog for some late night food after a Longhorns game. While we were walking by another person leaving the game had said that the DittyDog was 10/10 and recommend to myself and my group that we try it. Tbh myself and my friends felt disappointed in the food. The service was very friendly and fast for how many people were in line but the dog was meh. My partner had the beef DittyDog while I had the veggie DittyDog, both came with the same toppings. The consistency of the veggie dog was so weird, it felt like it was falling apart in my mouth and not a good way. I honestly couldn't finish the veggie dog cause the consistency of the wiener weirded me out and I'm not a picky texture person by any stretch of the imagination. The beef dog was slightly better. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to have this again but it was ok for a late night snack.

Went on a hunt for hot dogs because I missed Yo-yo's in Houston. Ditty Dog does a similar recipe with adjustments! Less mayo but added mustard and it's very comparable! Less "loaded" but that made it feel lighter in a good way. We were able to chat with the new owner who is super sweet and made service great. Free street parking with a bit of a walk through downtown.

The late night spot!! Dittydog ALWAYS hits the spot after a show. There is some seating outside of the truck - around 2/3 tables with benches. The original dittydog is incredible!! Just get it loaded as is! The bulgogi fries are amazing too!! The regular fries are always hot and a huge amount too. One of our favorite hot dogs in town!! Service is quick too!

BCR Dog and Bulgogi Fries - Two hot dogs with seasoned ground meat, toppings, and condiments are wrapped in foil on a marble table. A box of loaded fries with cheese, sauce, and toppings is also present, served in a takeout container with a side of dipping sauce. The fries are topped with cheese, sauce, and other ingredients, and the hot dogs are in soft buns with meat and toppings.

No notes for this place! Cheap, quick, easy online ordering system, and most importantly delicious and flavorful. This place satisfied us after a long night of Austin bars.

It's just okay. I understand there's a lot hype cuz it's different but there wasn't really anything that amazing about it. Normal size hot dog. Just not that impressed with the dogs. We didn't try the bulgogi fries but they looked great.

Diddy Dog - A hot dog with toppings including chopped onions and sauce is presented in a bun on a white paper tray. The tray is placed on a wooden table, and a crumpled napkin is visible in the background. The image is taken from an angle showing the side of the hot dog.

I went to a comedy show and stumbled on this cute little food truck afterward. I ordered their Bulgolgi Fries and their Diddy Dog. The service was decently fast. When I got to the front window to order the owner of the truck held up a hand and told me I had to wait, I found that somewhat rude. Next time just smile and say "I'll be right with you!" The fries stole the show for me! I would actually get extra meat next time because it was delicious! The Diddy Dog was a little dry but I found it to be moderately flavorful. The cost of those two items came out to be a little over $22. It was decent but I believe I would try something else or another food truck!

Ditty Dog and fries - A hotdog in a bun topped with a variety of sauces, chopped toppings, and possibly cheese, placed inside a takeout container. Two small cups of sauce and a napkin are included alongside the hotdog, which is on a wooden surface. The image suggests a casual outdoor dining setting.

I was craving some Jerk…read morechicken (been in a BBQ food coma) and decided to try Tony's Caribbean food truck...yes, another food truck. I am the most adventurous diner in our household. From speaking with Tony Jr. today, they also have a restaurant in Pflugerville. I ordered jerk chicken, which fell off the bones and came with cabbage, rice and peas and plantain. I have traveled to Jamaica a couple of times, this Jamaican food was the real deal. The jerk chicken was a bit spicey but not set your tongue on fire spicey. The rice and peas along with the cabbage was perfectly seasoned. The standout for me was the sweet plantain, spoken like a plantain connoisseur. The plantain was sweet on the inside and slightly charred on the outside...perfect combination. The only improvement would have been for me to get a side of plantain. My food was delivered fast and hot. Tony Jr. was super personable and friendly. There is seating in the center of the food truck park. You hear tunes being played in the background. The food truck park is at the core of East Austin in a semi-residential area. Street parking is available for diners. I look forward to trying curry goat and oxtails and more.

Most likely because I was too busy shoving all of that food goodness into my mouth! No joke. I love, love, love the Jamaican patty! I love getting one with a side of rice & peas. Perfect little meal. I also really love the fried plantains, curry chicken and jerk chicken. Truly authentic Caribbean food right in my neighborhood, life doesn't get any better. Lots of outdoor seating and other things to check out while there. Do yourself a favor...get to Tony's!
