When they were operating in midtown Houston (under a different business name), this is the one Hot Dog place that I'd go to after a night of drinking and shenanigans. So imagine my sadness when I found out that they were shutting down and moving to Austin. After the move, I had visited Austin a couple of times and trying to find where the new operation located. I kept checking on the website to no avail. Well, until last night. I was walking down Red River and walked past the Food Trucks lot and lo and behold! I saw DittyDog food truck and when I saw inside, it was operated by those same people from Houston!! WOOOOOOO!!!!! Anyway, I spent the night inside of Barbarella across the street, and after the night was over, I walked across the street with my friend toward this DittyDog truck. I said hello to the owners and they told us that it was their first night operating in Austin (10/12/18). Yesssss! Just my luck! Ordered a couple of fully loaded dogs at the price of $5.50 per dog and went on my merry way to enjoy them. Same delicious flavor, same affordability, same friendly people operating the truck. Just different locations! Will definitely come back here the next time I'm in Austin. As for you, Austinites, visit this cart and try one or two or three of their delicious fully loaded hot dogs! But after my first time drunkenly wandering to it, I realized I'm going to have to go out of my way to eat here every time I'm downtown late. Not only are the hotdogs delicious quality, everything they put on them is AMAZING! The little crispy pieces are a great touch and the bread on the bun is so great as well, and the bulgogi fries and chili cheese dogs are to dieeee for! DittyDog over exceeded my expectations. I was just expecting to get a regular hot dog, nothing out of the ordinary, but I got so much more. The toppings and sauces were amazing and the meat in general made the dog even better. The French fries were even amazing! I usually need ketchup or some sort of dipping sauce with my French fries, but with these fries, I could eat them by themselves all day long!
