two hotdogs with relish and pickles
    Caryn N.

Come through Mission Dog with consistency, service and flavor. This is my second time checking you all out at the PJ Performance and I loved that I had the experience two years ago. Thank you for your service and kindness at the concert. Taste great and it was feeling.

Bacon-wrapped Dogijuku dog! Soooo freaking delicious!
    Leila R.

I had been wanting to hit up their brick and mortar for awhile, but they are never open when I can make it down there, so imagine my pleasant surprise when walking out of a bar on E 6th, starving and headed to another adjacent food truck that should have been open, but wasn't, I came upon the Mission Dog food truck. I had been eyeing the Dogijuku since I had spied it on their menu and at almost 1am, it was the stuff bacon-wrapped hot dog dreams are made of! The pickled ginger, teriyaki glaze, and wasabi mayo had a 3-some in my mouth and it was not only foodgasmic, but so satisfying and filling! The guy manning the stand was super nice and a Dogijuku ninja! Seriously, he had my dog ready in like 2secs flat! I would usually balk at paying $6 for a hot dog, but I think calling what happened in my mouth a hot dog is to do the flavors and quality of the ingredients an injustice. I will definitely be making a trek at some point to their brick and mortar location to relive the ecstasy in a more contained environment rather than standing on a random corner of E 6th at midnight making noises that I am sure violated some kind of city ordinance and using actual napkins instead of the back of my pants and unsuspecting drunk passersby. In any case, thank you Mission Dogs, not only for existing, but for being there in my hangry time of need!

This was easily one of the most interesting, delicious hot dogs I've ever had. I ate one, then immediately bought a second one. The kimchi dog was amazing but the one hot dog with nori flakes was out of this world. Holyyyyy cow. It was so bomb. I am partial to Asian fusion and this place nailed it I will be dreaming of your hotdogs for weeks. Thank you mission dog!

    Vietdog - delicious!!
    Nicole B.

The Vietdog is delicious! I'm not a HUGE bacon fan or a HUGE hotdog fan, but this bacon wrapped hotdog, nestled with cold, crispy slaw, Sriacha mayo and more hit the spot. The menu itself is deliciously creative, with a lot of Asian fusion and influence. The dogs can be dressed up or down how you like, and the bun isn't neglected - it is also of good quality and fresh as can be. Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations if you're feeling a little lost on the menu (like I was). They're more than happy to help...and if you take my word for it, you can't go wrong with the Vietdog. It's not too spicy, either.

This is our first time here, they just opened the restaurant front off of East Cesar Chavez and I got the Kim dog il and it was awesome! You can never go wrong with a bacon wrapped hotdog with kimchi! The bacon was nice and crispy and the kimchi added the perfect amount of spice. I like that the bun is toasted as well, adds a nice touch. Would recommend this place to everyone!

I was out and about with locals, and, at the end of the night, they insisted on finding him before heading back home. I had the mission hot dog and was blown away! It was so good!

just ate this one named " Dogijuku" . I must say Im a bit " wowed". So..friggin...GOOD. :) 5 STARS for flavor and service!;)

My first visit to T-Loc's Sonora Hot Dogs and wow, what a way to be introduced to this spot!…read more I met up with a fellow Yelper friend and we got there not long after opening, which turned out to be a very smart move. While we were waiting for our food, it suddenly became a whole scene, it was National Hot Dog Day, and the line just kept growing and growing. People were fully committed too, hot dog shirts, hot dog hats, I'm pretty sure I saw a walking hot dog at one point. Add in folks bringing their own ice chests of beer and it felt like a little hot dog party. We decided to go big and ordered every kind of dog they make so we could share and try them all. A super sweet lady brought our order out to us, which I loved. No waiting around trying to hear someone shout out your name. And let me tell you, every single one was damn good. You really can't go wrong here. My favorite ended up being the classic chili cheese dog, because apparently I like to keep it old school, ha. But seriously, Mr. T-Loc knows exactly what he's doing with his chili recipe! I also tried an agua fresca for the first time and now I get the hype. So refreshing and good. Next time, I've got my eye on one of those big burritos because they looked crazy good, no joke. Accessibility wise, they do have accessible parking, which is a huge plus. The seating is a mix of circular and standard picnic tables, some with shade, but not the most wheelchair-friendly setup. They do have a ramp up to the covered area and I made it work by parking at an angle at the end of a table, nothing was getting between me and those dogs. Bottom line, this is a must try spot if you're craving great food and don't skip on the fresh made agua fresca!

10/10 every time. No notes just everything is perfect and phenomenal. The flavors are insane.read more

So waiting to get a drink to awhile while sitting at the bar. People were standing in line about 8 people to order and the kitchen hitting some bell for her to run food. We ordered a beer and food, the tots were cold, the mutha cluck sandwich was inconsistent with temperature and chicken was dry. He had the burrito and the bacon were small pieces that were super hard and pulled on side of the burrito but temperature was good. The food was just blah, nothing to brag about. The beer tasted funny (like sour taste) and it wasn't just one type of beer it was several. They had a man sitting up to play for live music., he played well but it was loud so hard to hear him if you are back of restaurant. Don't think we will be back anytime soon since the time before wasn't that good either. Hope the girl who was work the front, bar and running food gets paid for 3 peoples job. Crispy on the outside with fluffy potato chunks and honestly didn't even need the mustard drizzle after all. Crunchy, salty, and ridiculously fun to eat. I'm convinced they could batter a book and it would still be good! The egg toast surprised me. I love egg sandwiches but this was STACKED. Now I'm genuinely sad I don't have this spot near me because I would eat that egg toast constantly. Thick, buttery toast stuffed with soft eggs, avocado, and a sauce that I have no idea what it was but absolutely loved. Negatives: -Order taker/server's heavy accent very difficult to understand. -A la carte; no combos. Side portions (tots) are enough for two people we found out after ordering. -Didn't realize the burgers come with 4 Hawaiian slider rolls as the bun; we ordered off the wall menu behind the counter. Upon picking up the burger, the 4 rolls immediately broke apart as did the hamburger patty. Ended up being a "hamburger salad". -Cheeseburger comes with pickles; found jalapeños instead, on the bottom. - Coke at the fountain tasted like Diet Coke, thought maybe the lines were crossed. Server tried it and also at the bar then checked in the back and said "out of Coke." Impressions: Didn't care for slider rolls in place of a burger bun, as it makes for a big fall-apart mess.
