1000/10 stars The fries stayed crispy through my whole meal. The chicken is so crispy as well but not dry in the slightest, super juicy! They put so many pickles on my chicken sandwich I was in heaven. I crave this place every single day and look for every excuse to go back. They have a ton of different sauces and they gave us one of each and we didn't even ask. I'd recommend this place a million times over.
I decided to try the orange chicken as I saw it on an Instagram reel. I arrived the food truck was parked in the back of rosewood social club. When I went order I scanned a QR code to view the menu. The food came out 10minutes later. Too my surprise they told me they gave me extra chicken so I got 6 pieces when I ordered the 3 piece. The chicken was tangy and very crisp you can hear the crunch when you take a bite of this chicken. Flavors are good I would like to come back to try the cinnamon chipotle flavor. The Mac and cheese was very creamy and tangy it was a good little twist on Mac and Cheese.
Cockti is absolutely delicious. I went to get food to take home and enjoyed everything I ordered. I tried the Szechuan Chicken Sandwich, Spicy 3 PC Drums & Thighs, Chicken Tender Box and Spicy Chicken Mac and Cheese. I'm a fan of spicy food and these dishes had the perfect amount of kick. They were flavorful and fiery. They provided an array of sauces to pair with the chicken as well. Everything was fantastic. They have outdoor patio tables where you can sit and eat if you choose to. The staff were friendly and provided me with recommendations for food to order. The prices were reasonable too. I definitely plan to return again soon.
BOMB CHICKEN. This place is sooo good for a flavorful, juicy, and double fried chicken. I stoped by on a Sunday afternoon. It's a food truck with a few picnic tables outside. I got the Cinnamon Chipotle thighs and fries. WOW. The crunch, and flavor were so good. The fries were okay in my opinion. My husband got the hulked sandwich. It was also huge but very good as well. Ordering and waiting for the food took about 10 min. Parking on the street. Highly recommend!

We had the hulked chicken sandwich, the chipotle cinnamon chicken sandwich, and the 3 piece spicy drums and flats box. Very reasonable prices. And enough seating, nice clean outdoor area. The people working in the truck are so kind too.
This is one of those spots I so badly want too gatekeep, but also want to share with everyone because it's THAT GOOD. The chicken is insanely juicy and moist, and the skin/batter is unbelievably crispy. I ordered 3 orders of the 3pc just so I could try all 3 of their dry rubs. The spice and the flavors of each are perfect, all balanced with a touch of sweetness. If you like that tingly, numbing feeling, get the Szechuan. If you like just the spice, do the Spicy (I personally order it extra spicy), and if spice isn't you thing, their Chipotle Cinnamon is such a great option. The mac & cheese is the best I've ever had. It's cheesy, creamy, saucy, and they use cavatappi (the best pasta shape in my opinion)! It's worth every calorie.

If it's any indication on how good the food is, I've came back three separate times just to try all of their sandwiches! My favorite was the chipotle cinnamon chicken sandwich, followed by the Szechuan chicken and then the spicy chicken. You can't go wrong with any of them since they're all so good. The food truck owner was very kind and the food came out pretty fast and was very fresh. There's limited parking, but it's walking distance from quite a few neighborhoods. They have an excellent variety of sauces: honey mustard, chipotle ranch, lemon saffron aioli, strawberry jalapeño, just to name a few.
Cockti food truck has been in my list for a while so decided to finally give it a try! Got the 3 piece szeshuan chicken and the plantains both were very tasty. The chicken was crispy and the plantains were flavorful with the added sauces. The service was great and the owner makes it a point to check in. The location on a very hot day definitely is not ideal so I would not recommend this place for ambiance. I would say BYOB because the drink option are limits to 2 and the water purchase option is only the mini water! The only thing keeping me from giving this place a 5 star review is the menu does not offer much in terms of an item to balance the heat and the heaviness of the other menu items. I wish they had a coleslaw or cucumber salad to help balance out the meal.
This place is honestly a total game changer when it comes to offering gluten-free fried chicken. They really know what they're doing, and take pride in taking all the steps and understanding the food science for getting their chicken as tender and delicious as humanly possible. They were went above and beyond with offering to make me custom batches of their chicken that are egg-free and dairy-free as well, as long as I ask them ahead of time to allow them to marinate it all properly. They told me they'd be willing to make these dairy-free egg-free batches for anyone who reaches out, so feel free to message them on their ig and they'll take care of you. This is how you get regulars and I already know I'll be back regularly

The sandwich is incredible too - my husband is not gluten free and he loved it! We got the spicy and tingly and both delicious! We also got the gf tiramisu tres leches - THE ABSOLUTE best - with raspberry jam - insanely good. Order is online and very quick! Sunday afternoon wasn't too busy but they can sell out so best to go early! Plenty of outdoor seating at food truck park!

Had the most AMAZING gluten free cinnamon chipotle chicken tenders. Didn't taste gluten free at all. Breading was so crispy, but the chicken was still so juicy. 10/10 recommend. My husband (who is not gluten free) said his chicken sandwich was the best he has ever had. Fries were amazing too! read more

Once again I went to Cockti, and I can say this second time hit just as good as the first time. The flavor, the spices, the crispiness, the juiciness of every single drumstick and thigh were on point. The mac and cheese was a delight, with chicken tender pieces cooked to perfection, with a punch of flavor from the cinnamon rub and green onions bringing, once again, that balance of flavors. This place is a gem. Cockti is definitely on my top list. Sorry, my pics dont do justice to how good the food actually is! read more
The food here is really good. The app they use don't send text messages when your food is ready for some reason so you got to stay in top of your order. Not a bad value for the chicken. $4 for a small mcdonalds fries is a bit of robbery though. The bar next door was not that ideal if you want to get drinks there. Service is slow and selection is low read more

Love that you can online order and select the time and day you want to pick up your meal. My work ordered Individually and I went to pick up the meals. The sandwiches were big and plenty to eat. And my coworkers all raved how good they were Mac n cheese could be considered a meal. It had a great flavor but a little runny for my taste The 3pc is perfect to share or eat the leftovers the following day. I reheated mine in the airfryer and it still had its crunch The fries are a must with the strawberry habanero sauce. From the first bite of my chipotle, cinnamon fried chicken sandwich, I was a fan. By the last bite, I was a super fan. This hefty $8.99 sandwich is big. For me, it was big enough to make a meal. It is one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've had--and I've tried all of them. "Fried Chicken Thigh, House Rub, Green Onions, Cilantro, Lime, Agave Nectar, Spicy Pickles, Chipotle Ranch, stuffed in a Toasted Bun" is the official description, but somewhere in there is some magic. This unusual combination of flavors really works. The chipotle gives it just enough heat for a slight burn, but then the sweetness of the agave and the warm touch of cinnamon rounds out the flavors. The boneless thigh is super juicy and perfectly fried, the big bun is warm and toasty, the pickle slices add a nice crunch, and they slather on just enough of the ranch dressing to make sure your fingers are gonna get messy. It's worth it. Cockti serves out of a food truck at the corner of MLK and Walnut Street in East Austin. There are a few parking places available in the lot, and I had no trouble finding street parking. They share the parking lot with a food truck that serves Puerto Rican food that also looked interesting. I've barely started digesting my big sandwich and I'm already thinking about going back soon to try their bone-in chicken and their sides. read more
the workers were so nice and we told them it's our first time and they told us EVERYTHING we need to know about this place!! The chicken is really good, they are definitely not afraid to put a lot of sauce on the sandwiches. we took it back to my apartment (20 min drive) and left the bread kind of soggy. we are definitely going to come back and try other menu items. read more

Quality + price= success. This place was one of those, sure let's give it a try spots, and it is now a spot I would definitely visit again. The quality and flavor of the chicken was great! And then a sandwich for $9 I thought was a great value! They were fast, nice and helpful! Definitely worth a trip if you're in the neighborhood! I enjoyed the spicy chicken and my husband really loved the Szechuan flavor. My sister had the chicken Mac and cheese and really and enjoyed that as well, it had this spicy but sweet flavor. read more

Grabbed dinner here tonight- new food truck located in East Austin. The owner is super cool and spent some time explaining his products and methods, the types of flavors and sauces. Great customer service. We got two chicken sandwiches- a spicy and and cinnamon Chipotle. Both had big juicy pieces of perfectly friend chicken with pickles and lettuce and sauces. The layers of spices and flavoring were amazing- the cinnamon Chipotle especially was wildly good. We also got a side of fries and a side of the green chile queso with candied bacon. The queso was delish- I wish the chips were a little better they tasted store bought. But the candied bacon was such an amazing touch! The fries were perfectly cooked and had that good fry coating on them- so much fun to dip into the four different sauces we got! A spicy ketchup, a Chipotle aoli, honey mustard and a strawberry habanero! I can't wait to try the Mac and cheese and plantains and absolutely will be back. Prices are reasonable for Austin! Everything was packaged super well too. Everyone go give this place some love! read more

Life changing chicken experience, easily the best food we had while visiting Austin. Both the sandwich and the nuggets were amazing. My partner has celiac and she also able to have the food here. The owner is knowledgeable about gluten and treats it carefully. This is the best gluten free fried chicken out there, no competition. read more

God blessed me the day he gave me Cockti. I always order the spicy 3-piece, and the skin is unbelievably crispy, crunchy, and flavorful, while the meat is always super juicy and fresh. Not to mention the crispy onions, fresh green onions, agave, and lime to top it off! Don't sleep on their fire sauces either - the honey mustard and chipotle ranch are my absolute favorites!! I'm not even kidding when I say that I go there 1-2x/week. Maybe not great for my health, but my heart and stomach are oh-so-happy The real secret ingredient is the owner, Nick, and his wife! They're so real and lovely and you can tell they put their heart and soul into their food. I love them (no homo) and this place has become one of my all-time favorite restaurants and I tell EVERYONE about them. 100/10 highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious food at a great price while supporting a local small business! read more

Cockti Fried Chicken knocked my socks off. I was initially going to try the sandwich since that's the main thing here, but the mac and cheese caught my eye. I love that they offer the same flavor options for the chicken on top of the mac and cheese as for the sandwich, so I went with the Szechuan one. As others have noted, the cheese sauce is slightly on the runny side (although the texture was perfect when reheated as leftovers) but it's very clearly not from any kind of a box or other shortcut, and the flavor was fabulous, so that didn't bother me. The serving portion was great, and I absolutely loved the sweetness and spiciness of the Szechuan seasoning against the very creamy mac, and the cilantro, crispy fried onions, and whatever else they had going on to top things off was a magical combo all together. Chicken was juicy too, so this is a meal I loved and will be back for. There's a decent amount of seating, and there are 4 other trucks in the lot if you're going with people who want additional options. read more

This place is an easy 5/5. The chicken was so crispy and flavorful! It was a slight spice, great flavor, crunchy, a touch of sweet. Honestly became one of if not my favorite chicken spot in Austin Texas. I wanted to try a little of everything so I got a 3 piece bone in fried chicken, spicy chicken sandwich, and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese also came with chunks of fried chicken and can be a whole meal in itself! So so so good. Immediately started recommending to my friends once I tried the food. Actually pretty fairly priced to for the amount of food you get! The chicken sandwich was huge! My favorite though by far was the 3 piece fried chicken. Highly highly recommend! Genuinely the most delicious chicken we've ever had. My partner got The Hulked Chicken sandwich & said "this is better than any other chicken sandwich I've ever eaten". I got the gluten free nuggets .... when I tell you I've never had a gluten free nugget that compares to this!!! Juicy, crunchy, so fresh. This is going to become a regular spot for us! read more
Shook by the fried plantains. The rub on these is delicious, there's a nice crunch to them, and the slightly sweet starch of the plantains is just a good contrast of flavors. It comes with 6 pieces. I also ordered the 3 pc fried chicken that comes with 2 drumsticks and a thigh. The rub was nice and crispy and the meat was juicy. Two types of dipping sauces, a sweet and sour chili sauce and a honey mustard sauce. Loved the honey mustard sauce. Would order again. read more

I always need gluten free options. This was an amazing sandwich with a custom GF bun. Price was perfect, they don't gouge you for GF options like most places. I just wish the bun was a bit bigger, other than that the chicken piece itself was huge and the sourdough like bread held together nicely! My wife's Mac and Cheese was maybe a 4/5 stars. The chicken bits were mostly crust and the ones with meat in them were a bit dry for her taste. She said the actual MAC part was great. Overall, I would definitely go out of my way to go back here!! Lots of online orders. If you just drive up, you're going to wait for a while. Cool neighborhood with limited parking and other food trucks nearby. This is a must try. read more
Tried this place out since Spicy Boys decided to move $4 for frozen unseasoned fries is crazy work! I was so pissed I just threw them away. The sandwich was just "okay" I'll try the bone-in chicken next time to give them a chance to redeem themselves. But so far, this was a waste of money. read more
