    Double OG
    Christopher B.

New to the area and hitting as many places as I can simply because there are sooooo many options. It's truly difficult NOT to go back to some (yet) because they've been so good. To borrow from another review, I am not vegan but I do enjoy my veggies. Vegan or not, the double OG was one of the tastiest burgers I've had period. Great textures, amazing flavors, a good bun, and overall a very messy burger -- as it should be! I've hit up some of the other trucks in this little carved out spot in East Austin, plenty of art, seating, and fans. The service was quick and friendly... I'll definitely be back!

I am a vegetarian and Always in search of a American Burger with bean patty! I have tried it at so many places across US, but heads down this was absolutely the best black bean burger i have ever had. The service was great - staff was friendly and ambiance - it's a typical Austin food truck park with outdoor sitting and fairy lights

Have visited multiple times and always have a wonderful experience! Everyone is always so nice and friendly. Burgers are large and you have many creative options to choose from. Today, I got their BF burger and it hit the spot! Recommend it if you like BF foods. Fries come slightly seasoned and are the perfect portion for your burger. There may be a bit of a wait, but is worth it. Parking is also easy(big plus)! if you're plant-based like me, you'll love this place!

Korean bbq wings and OG loaded tots

If you're looking for vegan food, nom burgers is a great spot to go. Located in a lot with a variety of other vegan food trucks, there are plenty of options in the area. Nom burgers stands out for its more classic American food options, including a delectable honey chicken biscuit, loaded tots, and more. The wings are shaped around a sugar cane stick and are good, although have a slightly mushy texture. They did hit the spot, but weren't the best vegan wings I've had texture wise. Overall, I would be back for their tots and their chicken biscuit.

I like everything about Nom Burgers! It's located in a cute little food truck park on Cesar Chavez (pro tip: plenty of free parking in the lot on the north side of the park). I've been going here since it opened, so a bit late on writing a review. Their burgers are junk food deliciousness. They offer the Impossible Patty, and a veggie patty the latter which I've yet to try. I'm a huge fan of their wings as well - SO GOOD!!! They offer an excellent variety of options for kiddos. My 2 year old devoured the kids burger during our last trip. There's even a little sandbox where kiddos can play. The staff working the truck on Xmas Eve were wonderful. Will return soon.

So glad we finally tried Nom Burgers. Absolutely delicious and lived up to my high standards. They are in a food park with many other awesome vegan food trucks. I got the green chile burger and it was so big and flavorful. My husband got the double cheeseburger and tots are was very impressed. I can never decide on the best vegan burger in Austin, but Nom Burgers has to be up there!!

Chopped Cheese Asada Fries, Korean bbq wings, flamin hot cheeto wings
    Mira D.

I went here with my vegan and non vegan friend and we went crazy with ordering!! We tried two different flavors of vegan chicken wings. Including the Korean barbecue and flaming hot Cheetos. We also got the Asada fries. The vegan chicken wings were so impressive even my non-vegan friend was surprised! They come with a little skewer inside to be the 'bone' and the exterior of the wing is crispy just like a real one would be. I'm not sure what they use to make it crispy like that, but it tastes like it could be crispy chicken skin! Both wings were good, however I personally felt that the barbecue Korean ones were better. The flaming hot Cheeto wings were too spicy for me and I did not feel like they tasted like the original flaming hot Cheetos. Nonetheless, theywe're still good. Asada fries were also very tasty. They were sprinkled with meat, cheese, jalapeños, and pico de gallo. My non vegan friend couldn't stop eating it! All in all, we will definitely be visiting this place again because there are so many great options and they all taste so good !!

The OG, Nashville chicken and tater tots
    Dominique E.

Was craving burgers but didn't want to feel heavy, so we decided for vegan burgers. They were so delicious and hit the spot! We ordered the OG burger with 1 patty and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, with a side of tots we shared. I was impressed on how the flavors came together on the impossible burger. Loved the veggies that came on it and tots to finish it off. If you're looking for a vegan option, I'd definitely recommend this food truck! Right next door are vegan options too. All around cool spot to hang and bring your family and friends.

The name says it! Nom Burgers are pretty darn good. My non-vegan daughter tried the OG Asada Tots and she was amazed. They tasted delicious! The portions & the prices are great. We have to come back soon.

    Nashville Hot Chicken
    Heather R.

Food: 8.5/10, Ambience: 10/10, Service: 10/10 Nom Burgers is located in a Vegan Food Park, which is a win within itself. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was very good. The loaded tots were also good but very very saucy so if that isn't your thing, consider asking for less sauce or getting something else. Overall, still a very good experience!

Omg! This place is amazing! So we were in Austin doing some shopping and did a little search on Yelp for a bite to eat. This place popped up and thought we'd give it a try! I'm so glad we stopped in. We ordered an OG burger, fries, and asada tots. Everything was amazing! There wasn't a single bite we didn't enjoy. Definitely a place worth stopping at. It did take about 20 minutes to get our food but it was worth the wait. I found my new favorite spot when o come to Austin. Thanks Yelp for another wonderful suggestion.

    Lachelle R.

Best vegan burger I've ever had! I can't say how much I enjoyed my experience. They are located in a small vegan food truck park with super chill vibes. I ordered their standard burger but substituted the regular bun for their pretzel bun....game changer!! Fries were nice a crisp as well. Really no complaints about this spot. PS: Free parking on the backside of the park.

    Fried pickles!!
    Veggie M.

Two words: FRIED PICKLES! Seriously, go get some. Friendly dude, tasty vegan junk food. Bonus: they were playing Bjork on the speakers in the outdoor seating area. So if I could give this review 6 stars, I would.

It also took ages to make and get our food. I know vegan food does tend to take longer because of the care process, but this was another level. They did not call our names when the food was ready and it took ages. We even came to check on our food a few times and it was not ready. Ambiance Food truck in the middle of an empty lot. We tried half the trucks. Burgers, tacos, and cheesecake were on the menu because the others were closed at the time. I tried a taco two-fer at Rockin Vegan Tacos, which has evolved its presentation and probably food through the years. The KBBQ rib taco on a flour taco was yummy. Taste and flavor excelled over the somewhat disjointed and unmeldedness of the overall taco. The vegan bacon on my scramble tasted pretty salty and greasy- true to its inspiration tho bacon in any form won't be missed by me- however the scramble "egg" was eggcellent. Truly. Not just being punny. Don't forget to grab some sauces from the little labeled mini cooler to the left of the counter. That chipotle sauce slaps. The fries from Nom Burger were a skinny fried surprise! Well seasoned and addicting, watch out. They also provide organic ketchup packets without high frucgross corn syrup- min approved. The buns weren't warmed and at a 3:1:.25 bread to patty to cheese ratio, cheeseburger was just ok. The cute little cheesecake truck serves vegan and non vegan options. $10-11 in little glass jars which can be returned for future discounts. The cookies and cream was a layered and light treat. A nice way to wrap up the meal and extend your time in this cute, colorful, casual, Austiny spot. Bathrooms are in the mural building through a white door behind the trash bin, take the first right. I spied Uber cookies on the closed coffee truck menu and shall return for those.

The food was simple, healthy, and delicious, and I had a great time consuming everything from vegetables to legumes to tea. Since I normally loved cooking vegan at home, some of what they served here, especially lentils, matched exactly what I would have cooked. The soup and tea were amazing as well, and there was a piece of paper on the table with explanations about the tea. Even on a Monday in December, this place had everything that I needed. There was a hammock outside, a path to walk on, and a bulletin board with flyers advertising all types of local events that were along the lines of healing and inner peace. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion. I would say this is the best vegetarian sushi place I've found in Austin. So if you're in search, this wouldn't disappoint you.

I ordered a holiday cheese box on December 3 as a Christmas gift. My card was charged immediately. The order never shipped, and I received no communication until I followed up myself, multiple times. After the holidays, I learned (only because I kept pushing) that my order had been internally canceled due to a system glitch, with no email, no refund, and no outreach. I was repeatedly told it would ship on specific dates that came and went. A replacement order was finally sent in January. It arrived late, wet, with melted and ruptured ice packs, and the cheese was very soft to the point my friends weren't sure it was safe to eat. The box also lacked the gift note that was supposed to be included. What bothers me most is that my card would have stayed charged indefinitely if I hadn't chased this down myself. That's not okay especially for perishable food. It's a real shame, because the product itself is great. On the day before Thanksgiving I found out they did not ship my order and essentially asked that I understand because they are so busy. They offered to ship my order later and they would throw something in for free for my inconvenience. This was a standard poorly written customer communication. I replied and explained how after their reassurances they had left me without my order or sufficient time to find a suitable replacement. This time a got a genuine reply from Luis, but same offer full refund, or some free item. It nice for them that they are so busy that they can't fulfill customer orders on time. Not just in Austin, but ever. I am now desperately seeking pierogies that rival FTG's. It's not just the pierogies themselves... but the sauce, it would make angels sing. Every time I tried something new, my heart would long for the pierogies. I finally gave in to my desires and quit trying other new things. I think next time I go back I'm just going to ask strangers if I can have a bite of their food, so I can say I've tried everything. But until then, this review is for what I have tried. After the pierogies. My next favorite things in order. Fried chicken (perfectly crisp bites), jerk chicken (little spicy, not dry, perfect), chilli (so spicy), gnocchi. The cheesecake would technically rank after the pierogies, but because they're a dessert I don't wanna mess up the order here and confuse y'all. The two dudes that work this truck, are here EVERY time. I'm pretty sure the only days they take off is Mondays and Tuesdays. Tell them the girl from Kansas City with a big dog sent to you. Lastly. Know that you won't find this place overrun with college kids or snotty hipsters. Just regular people enjoying a good dive bar.

Rating: 2.7/5 [Postmates delivery]…read more We were so excited to try FTG's food, especially given its high Yelp rating. Unfortunately, it ended up being extremely disappointing. The meats were unforgivably dry, though everything else was good. Steak & Zab ($22): The zab, a mix of green beans, mushrooms, and broccoli tossed in salsa macha with sabayon, was actually enjoyable. I liked the flavors, but it was a bit too creamy/saucy for my husband (likely due to the sabayon). The steak, however, was dry and very chewy. Asian Style Spare Ribs ($17): This came with a 1/3 rack of spare ribs, a Thai cabbage salad, and five-spice fried potatoes. The potatoes were fire, and the salad was solid. But again, the meat missed the mark--super dry for the most part. We tried dipping it in the sabayon and other sauces to add moisture, but it didn't help. The fish sauce glaze didn't come through either. The only redeeming quality was the generous portion size.
