The Vegan Nom is a little outdoor food truck garden space with six trucks surrounding assorted picnic tables, tables, a sand pit with a donut toss game and hula hoops. Parking lot is on East 2nd so if you're driving don't pull up on Cesar Chavez. You'll be able to enjoy some impressive mosaic murals lining the lot and by the restrooms, on behalf of the neighboring mural business, and colorful art is infused throughout the Vegan Nom for super bonus ambiance points. We tried half the trucks. Burgers, tacos, and cheesecake were on the menu because the others were closed at the time. I tried a taco two-fer at Rockin Vegan Tacos, which has evolved its presentation and probably food through the years. The KBBQ rib taco on a flour taco was yummy. Taste and flavor excelled over the somewhat disjointed and unmeldedness of the overall taco. The vegan bacon on my scramble tasted pretty salty and greasy- true to its inspiration tho bacon in any form won't be missed by me- however the scramble "egg" was eggcellent. Truly. Not just being punny. Don't forget to grab some sauces from the little labeled mini cooler to the left of the counter. That chipotle sauce slaps. The fries from Nom Burger were a skinny fried surprise! Well seasoned and addicting, watch out. They also provide organic ketchup packets without high frucgross corn syrup- min approved. The buns weren't warmed and at a 3:1:.25 bread to patty to cheese ratio, cheeseburger was just ok. The cute little cheesecake truck serves vegan and non vegan options. $10-11 in little glass jars which can be returned for future discounts. The cookies and cream was a layered and light treat. A nice way to wrap up the meal and extend your time in this cute, colorful, casual, Austiny spot. Bathrooms are in the mural building through a white door behind the trash bin, take the first right. I spied Uber cookies on the closed coffee truck menu and shall return for those.

The Vegan Nom is a great casual taco spot on the east side and a solid win for anyone looking for late-night vegan eats in Austin. The atmosphere has that classic Austin food truck charm--laid-back, colorful, and a little funky in a good way. It's a great place to grab food with friends or enjoy a quick bite outdoors. We ordered all five of their signature tacos to try a little bit of everything, and the standout for us was definitely the vegan fish taco. The texture was surprisingly close to real fish and the flavor was perfectly seasoned with a nice balance of tang and crunch. The sauces they use really bring everything together, especially their creamy jalapeño sauce--highly recommend adding it to whatever you order! One more thing I appreciate: they're open until 10 PM, which makes it a lifesaver for late eaters who still want something flavorful and plant-based.

Being in Austin, Texas, it's a challenge not to eat meat every day, and I was looking for something vegetarian. Vegan Nom was recommended to me. I went later on a Saturday, it's in a food truck spot (there are so many) along Caesar Chavez Street in East Austin. There's a lot to choose from on the menu. I tried the Chilaquilas Roja, Korean BBQ taco, Del Ray fish taco, and Grilled Avocado Reale with a can of Rambler. Everything was delish. Pretty reasonably priced, too. The chef busily made everything. Picnic tables.

Vegan Nom is the anchor spot at this little food truck park, and it's easy to see why. The menu has a ton of options, not just 4 or 5 like so many places now, so there's something for everyone. Even non-vegans like me can feel overwhelmed with so many good choices. I had two breakfast tacos, which were super filling (and gone way too fast). The salsas are self serve and are excellent. Great spot with a decent parking lot plus street parking, and they even have Rambler sparkling water on hand.

I ordered 5 different kinds of tacos! They all were very appetizing to look at, and I was so excited to try them. I am very sad to say that I was disappointed with the flavors of most of them. Really liked the fish taco-very refreshing and not too salty. I think my least favorite was kbbq- it just didn't taste like kbbq seasoning at all. And some other taco meats were too mushy for my liking. Maybe I need to try different items than taco next time and see! But I liked the overall vibe and the fact that they were all vegan!

Tucked away in another food truck park in East Austin, this spot specializes in vegan dishes. I came on a Monday night and only two trucks were open, but this was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered the Super Fresco and the Grilled Avocado Reale. The texture and flavor of the super fresco would surprise any meathead and delight anyone steering clear of meat. But the star of the show was the Avocado Reale. Both tacos were stuffed and appropriately wrapped with double corn tortillas. The ingredients were falling out, and so good that I had to scoop them up. The flavors of the Avocado Reale really popped, the mushrooms, onions, and queso were Plenty of seating, picnic tables all over the place. Great art everywhere you turn. This was my first dinner in Austin, and I will definitely be back!

This is one of my favorite food trucks in my area. I am not vegan but I love it all the same! I love the Super Fresco taco so much. That vegan beef is the real deal! It's perfectly cooked and seasoned, and if I didn't already know I was eating vegan, I would have thought it was "real" meat. It's a double-decker packed with the ingredients. Pico, lettuce, tomato, etc. When I head over I try to get there as soon as they open up because they are POPULAR. Lines can get lengthy at times. Worth the wait though I prefer not to, lol.

Super fast and big portion size! I got the Buffalo Birdie Burrito and it was very flavorful. Great casual spot to hit a lot of vegan restaurants, although I wish they had heaters.

Delicious tacos for not just vegans but everyone! We've been here 3x already within two months. We bring all our visitors and everyone has loved it! They also have 3 different freshly made salsas, all flavorful and tasty. I highly recommend the Del Rey fish and buffalo chicken taco

Finally made it here! They have a ton of options and I decided to go the breakfast route. The Nueva Onda, with its sweet potato hash browns, scrambled tofu, and avocado was chefs kiss topped with the verde jalapeno sauce. And the Mi Ranchito was somehow even more delicious with country breakfast sausage, potato, black bean, queso blanco, and guacamole in Ranchito sauce. Of course I had to also top it with a hot sauce. The chipotle was equally as tasty and fiery as the jalapeño. Next time l'm grabbing a bucket of each! Super fast service too! Although I took my tacos to go, there were a lot of picnic tables if you want to hang out and eat at the food truck park.

i couldn't say enough good things about this place. service is relatively fast, the food is exceptional, and the location is a nice vegan food truck park. i HIGHLY recommended the chilaquiles roja taco- probably the best taco i've ever had. i've taken non vegans here and they loved the chilaquiles roja taco as well. They have hot sauce that you can serve yourself, and Their chipotle sauce is insane. the hella quesadilla was very good too, so definitely check this place out if able.

Some tables could use a cleaning in between guests, but it was fairly clean. You order your food at the counter and they call you when it is ready. I ordered the grilled steak taco, rotisserie chicken taco and special taco of the week (pork dumpling smash taco). We also ordered the elote and queso to share. The elote was good, but very creamy and a bit heavy. The queso was good but tbh I prefer Torchy's. The grilled steak taco was a bit underwhelming, I wanted it to have more flavor, it just tasted like beef and cheese. The chicken had good flavor and the special weekly taco was enjoyable and interesting, not like any taco I have had before. There is plenty of variety for people including those with dietary restrictions. My friends ordered two tacos each and I was full after 3 tacos so if you are not a big eater stick with two.

Like your girl can eat tacos but I had never been one to be like let's go get some cause I am craving them. But man cuantos tacos can definitely get me saying I want and crave them! I thought prices were pretty fair at 2.75 a piece. After much researchon what to eat in Austin this is one of the spots that I saved as a bookmark. While I was in Austin, a foodie friend on Instagram shared with me her list of recommendations since she just moved to Austin not too long ago. I knew that Ihad to stop by Cuantos Tacos, I mean how often do you see a Michelin BibGourmand taco truck. We came here for dinner but it was cold, sprinkling, anddark out.
