As a fairly new vegan, I'm always excited to try new places around the city to see they are different. Takes on vegan cuisine. This is a food truck located a food truck park, which was very cool because I got to see a lot of different places that have lots of different food selections! Perfect place to visit with friends and family who have different food taste and come sit outside to enjoy a nice summer day. I appreciated the service. Everyone was very friendly and helpful when it came to picking different options on the menu. I tried two different things the Vaquero burger and the buffalo chicken wrap both come with french fries which I always love. After ordering you give them their your phone number and they'll send you a text when your food is ready (it was a hot day so happy I could wait in the car). Overall, the food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the buffalo wrap. I think the burger could've had a little more barbecue sauce to really bring out that barbecue flavor but overall really good place to try and I'm excited to come back again.

2025 Update: Service just as bad but the Big Mac, Fries and sauces are great still. Maybe even better than I remember. Lol

Super friendly. And I love that they use a text service to let you know when to pick up your food. It's too hot in Austin to be waiting around like that lol. I got the breakfast sausage taco add pickled onion. Let me tell you... WOW. It was so freaking good. The flavor was just amazing. I couldn't finish it. I had one bite left and I literally saved it for later. I couldn't waste it lol. My friend did get the burrito and I don't think he was as wild about his as I was mine.

    So yum!

So yummy! Super glad there is a fully vegan option at Thicket :) I got the taco, which were pretty yummy, but their burgers also looked super good!

The food here is really good. I got a phony cheese steak and a cheesecake. When I went, the food truck closed within about an hour of opening because they ran out of food so be aware that could happen!

So glad to have finally had to opportunity to enjoy RVK, amazing food but even better people. Love the food truck and menu options; customer service was fantastic, food was fast and fresh. Had the vegan taco yesterday, and my mouth is still salivating. It was soooooo good oh my goodness. 10/10. That one taco me contemplate going vegan completely!!

TL;DR: There was a staple in my wrap and I almost ate it. So I was sitting there on my couch kind of enjoying my buffalo chicken wrap and watching the final episode of Utopia when I feel a bone crunch in my mouth. I think, puzzled, what kind of realistic vegan chicken are they using... I keep chewing and contemplate swallowing but the crunchy "bone" doesn't break. So I reach into my mouth and to my surprise it's not a bone at all. It's a staple.

Beaurifully flavored servings, that match the high end food truck scene here at the Thicket.

I think some are open in the morning/afternoon and others in the afternoon/evening. I ordered an al pastor taco and chips with queso from CJ's tacos right before they closed at 7pm. The taco was good (a little greasy) but much better once you add the green sauce they serve with it on top. The queso was really tasty, like a better version of the tostitos queso. The food trucks are in a circle and surround a playground in the middle. It is a cool venue and while I wouldn't call it particularly nice, it is fairly clean. After the taco appetizer, we ordered gnocchi pomodoro and the casarecce with basil pesto and tomatoes from Artipasta with tiramisu for dessert. The pesto was good, but lacking in flavor a bit. The gnocchi were delicious, great texture and a wonderful tomato sauce. We honestly should have placed two orders for the gnocchi and skipped the casarecce. My friends liked the tiramisu but said it was a bit different from a traditional tiramisu. We wanted to try a vodka pizza from Day's Pizza but they were completely sold out for the day (no dough left). We tried the paneer entree and aloo paratha from the Desi Spot. The food took awhile to come out and I would have liked a few more pieces of paneer but it was all delicious. Overall a cool spot and a nice way to try a bunch of different food trucks and cuisines at once. Just check the hours for the food trucks you want to try before you go.

On the flip side, the Shrimp Po' Boy I got at Strut & Dorothy was sensational. Usually when the Armadillo Den is packed out like it was last Saturday for the Spurs and Knicks Game 5 plus a World Cup Saturday, these food trucks parked inside are buzzing trying to get as many orders out as possible. Though it took a while to place an order with the huge line, once my order was placed, it was ready very shortly after. The guy running the truck apologized for the wait, which felt unnecessary because they seemed to be on top of it, but I appreciate the kindness and customer service nonetheless. Pricing is about what I expected for a food truck: $14 po' boy and $7-8 for fries served with ranch or bleu cheese. The po' boy with all the fixings was exactly what I needed to calm my hunger and nerves while watching the Spurs collapse. It wasn't the glorious night I wanted, but the po' boy was the bandage on the wound. RIYL: The most impressive seafood served in a food truck in Austin

They also make their own Cajun tartar sauce which is amazing. We ordered the gumbo and bbq shrimp with sausage as well, both orders were delicious. I've had some pretty bad gumbo in Austin and this really makes up for it! Very happy with our food. Service was friendly and didn't wait long for our food. Very cute and well lit place. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back .
