    Bac'n chzburger ($10)
    Rachel S.

Wow best vegan cheeseburger I've had! So many people have recommended this local Austin vegan eatery, and I'm so glad I gave it a try! It did take 20 minutes for the food to be ready even when there wasn't a line, and no customers picked up their food while we were waiting so it seemed like we were the only order. There were also bees and bugs that swarmed around when the food was brought out, so we ended up having to eat in the car instead of at the tables outside. I tried the bacon chzburger ($10) while my sister got the Hoss (bbq brisket burger, $12) which she thought was spicy but very good. I thought my burger tasted amazing and savory but also with just a hint of spicy flavor in the ketchup of the cheeseburger. Other than the long wait and inability to enjoy the food at the tables, we loved the food!

Arlos was such a random find for me on Yelp and I'm so glad I found it. We were browsing some restaurants / food trucks in the area and that's how I find it. We got a jalapeño chicken seitan sandwich and it was so tasty. I'm a big chicken eater so it was so interesting to me, I'll definitely got this sandwich again. We also got their famous Mac and cheese, I've never seen it be so flavorful and I loved it. It was a little bit too oily for my liking but the flavor and texture was spot on. Do try it out!

enjoyed an incredible dinner at arlo's. we tried their bacon cheeseburger, sweet potato fries, hawt dog, and mac n cheese. they make their food fresh on-site and everything is 100% plant based. you really don't feel like you're missing out on anything-- it was one of the best burgers and hot dogs we've ever had. mac n cheese is a must. honestly this is one of the best vegan spots in austin and is def worth a try.

Only came here for the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was pipping hot, loved the crunchy parts of it. Overall it was gooey but extremely oily. The whole bottom of the tray was covered in oil. It made my stomach hurt afterwards.

The bbq burger is one of the BEST vegan burgers I've had. It's actually not on the menu, but if you ask the counter, they'll make it for you. And the price is pretty good. The tots are pretty salty. I could only handle like 5 before stopping. My friend got the bacon cheezburger and it was very saucy. She said it was good, but unfortunately super saucy. It's a food truck so only outdoor seating, but there's a parking lot and lots of street parking so parking shouldn't be a problem. Highly recommend

Vegan from my head to-ma-toes Highlights: *Vegan burger *Crispy Tots *Mac & Cheese on a burger Review: Highly recommended spot by one of my coworkers which was not a miss-steak. Let's start with the tots which were crispy, salty, well seasoned, hot and perfectly soft in the center. Now for the Cheezeburger, it was full of flavor, hints of smokiness, seasoned to perfection, charred, nuttiness from the cheeze, acidity from the pickles, saltiness from the bac'n, great texture from the patty and the Mac & Cheeze added some amazing creaminess to elevate it. Can't wait to try their other vegan menu items. Rating: 8/10 BAC'N CHEEZEBURGER (Add Mac) - House made soy free & gluten free patty, stacked with house-made seitan bac'n, melted cheeze, ketchup. mustard, mayo. tomatoes, onions, pickles. and lettuce. Side of Tots

    Frito Pie

Frito pie was divine- more than enough chili, bursting with flavors! We also tried the Mac and cheese which was pretty good. The frito pie burger was tasty- my husband really loved it once he got over it not being a beyond or impossible burger patty. We will definitely be back!

Arlo's was just ok. Personally, I believe that food should taste good whether it's vegan or not. We ordered the popular Bac'n Cheezeburger, The Ranch Hand, and fried pickles. All of them were incredibly salty - I had to drink water after each bite. The Cheezeburger was way too ketchup-y which masked all the other flavors. And the burger turned into mush with food constantly falling out. The Ranch Hand is a chicken wrap with jalapeño ranch. I know this place is known for vegan burgers, but this wrap was the best thing we ordered (though very salty). The fried pickles were crunchy and came in a solid portion size. Overall, we left full but not impressed.

We tried Arlo's before a concert at The Ballroom at Spider House for convenience. Can't complain for a plant-based food truck. They were nice enough and we were able to grab drinks in the venue and wait for our food to be prepared. It was definitely prepared fresh but I wish it had a little more flavor.

Disclaimer: I'm a meat eater I had pretty high expectations based on the reviews and what others have said about it. The food was pretty lackluster. I had half a bac'n cheezburger and half a chipotle chick'n. My friends got tacos, mac, and fries. The burger: It was pretty sizable, but that's expected for $9. It had a good amount of toppings, but there was way too much ketchup and mustard and mayo. The patty was very soft and kinda fell apart into the bits it was made of. Due to the hefty amount of sauce and cheese, I just had a sloppy, messy cheeseburger experience. The chicken: It was drier and tougher, just a simple sandwich with not much to it especially in comparison to the overly sauced burger. The fake chicken felt like a processed, dense meatball and had an interesting spiced flavor. My friends got tacos and said they weren't that filling or tasty. The illusion of street or chicken tacos isn't quite real. The mac n cheeze had a strange flavor. The parking is good and the picnic tables are nice. You order online and service is average. Would I come again? Hmm... maybe with a vegan friend, but definitely not with meat lovers or anyone who has a weak stomach. One of my friends felt kinda sick afterwards.

This food trucks is serving all vegan burger and hot dog options. We ordered the bac'n cheezeburger adding mac since we heard so much about it. We thought it was really good. It had nice texture and the mac added a nice level of flavor to the burger. You can barely tell it's fake meat! We also got the chipotle chick'n burger. This one definitely had more spice and flavor compared to the other one and it was my personal favorite. We added sweet potato fries as a side and were kinda underwhelmed. We were expecting way more than 10 fries when we paid $3... the fries were good, but just wish there was enough. It didn't even feel like it would've been enough for one person. Overall, I would come back for the burgers, not the fries. The staff is nice and there is a nice outdoor seating area right next to it. It makes me feel healthy after I eat it, and it doesn't leave a greasy feel in my mouth like some burger places do.

Wow 10/10 burger. The bacon and patty were so savory. I added Mac and cheese to my burger, tbh wish it was as flavorful as the rest of the burger but was still pretty good! Nice shaded benches at the Spider room location. Would 100% recommend the bacon cheese burger to anyone visiting Austin! So far it's been my favorite vegan spot since visiting.

Look at that tator Tots serving!! So crispy !!!!

Apr 8, 2026 review:…read more I've been at Nori two times in person and recently tried their to-go order. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion. I would say this is the best vegetarian sushi place I've found in Austin. So if you're in search, this wouldn't disappoint you.

They recommend consuming the cheeses within 7 days of opening. It's just my husband and me in the household, so finishing a whole package of cheese in a week's time could be daunting. Speaking of the brie, it wasn't my favorite of the selection I received, which was a curated collection of Lorie's from Shark Tank. When we first got the delivery Dear Hubby and I set up a charcuterie tray for ourselves as a late lunch / early dinner. So many wonderful tastes! It was a delightful experience to mix the cheeses with crackers, salamis, Mediterranean olives, and fruit / jam. The sweet chevre offering was divine. Might have been my favorite. We opened four of the cheeses to sample them and left two for later. It's been wonderful for me to have better vegan cheeses than what the local grocery stores tend to stock. Real flavor! Cauliflower and white grape soup - Hearty, comforting, and perfect for the cold weather. I was skeptical about the grapes at first, but they worked beautifully, adding just enough sweetness to balance the saltiness. 5. Squash cappelletti - The pasta was cooked to perfection with the ideal amount of filling. I was already getting full at this point, but there was no way I was leaving this unfinished. 6. Cranberry & ginger popsicle - A fantastic palate cleanser that actually helped reset my appetite for dessert. 7. Concord grape sorbet - I neither loved nor disliked it, but it was refreshing and surprisingly nostalgic. It instantly reminded me of PB&Js with grape jelly that my mom used to pack for me as a kid. 8. You'll have to check out my other review. But just know it's filled with weird taxidermy and novelty items that are one of a kind. But I digress. Back to the food. I would like to tell you I tried everything on the menu as many times as I came here. But alas, only four or five things. Unfortunately, their pierogies are the best thing I've ever had. Not just in Austin, but ever. I am now desperately seeking pierogies that rival FTG's. It's not just the pierogies themselves... but the sauce, it would make angels sing. Every time I tried something new, my heart would long for the pierogies. I finally gave in to my desires and quit trying other new things. I think next time I go back I'm just going to ask strangers if I can have a bite of their food, so I can say I've tried everything. But until then, this review is for what I have tried. After the pierogies. My next favorite things in order. Fried chicken (perfectly crisp bites), jerk chicken (little spicy, not dry, perfect), chilli (so spicy), gnocchi. The cheesecake would technically rank after the pierogies, but because they're a dessert I don't wanna mess up the order here and confuse y'all. The two dudes that work this truck, are here EVERY time. I'm pretty sure the only days they take off is Mondays and Tuesdays. Tell them the girl from Kansas City with a big dog sent to you. Lastly. Know that you won't find this place overrun with college kids or snotty hipsters. Just regular people enjoying a good dive bar.

Rating: 2.7/5 [Postmates delivery]…read more We were so excited to try FTG's food, especially given its high Yelp rating. Unfortunately, it ended up being extremely disappointing. The meats were unforgivably dry, though everything else was good. Steak & Zab ($22): The zab, a mix of green beans, mushrooms, and broccoli tossed in salsa macha with sabayon, was actually enjoyable. I liked the flavors, but it was a bit too creamy/saucy for my husband (likely due to the sabayon). The steak, however, was dry and very chewy. Asian Style Spare Ribs ($17): This came with a 1/3 rack of spare ribs, a Thai cabbage salad, and five-spice fried potatoes. The potatoes were fire, and the salad was solid. But again, the meat missed the mark--super dry for the most part. We tried dipping it in the sabayon and other sauces to add moisture, but it didn't help. The fish sauce glaze didn't come through either. The only redeeming quality was the generous portion size.
