A great patio seating area with long tables and shade covering. The inside is modern with a good looking full bar with cocktails, etc. Two tvs with professional sports playing. The front area has a display case of their pies and cheesecake. House music mostly from the 80s. Two separate multi-user men and women's restrooms. The host was friendly and guided me to my shared table, which was fine with me as the place was crowded and the open tables were for 4 or more people. Dafne took great care of me. She suggested some popular items and also some of hers. She was friendly, outgoing, and had a sparkling personality. O.G. Chicken Sandwich: their signature features an all-natural chicken breast, crisp coleslaw, bread-n-butter pickles, and Duke's mayo on a toasted bun. Select your heat level (4/5). I've been going to this location for the past two years and the service has gone down hill. There is no one to seat you anymore and every employee is standing around not helping their customers. Tonight I was at the booth by the front door and our server was training someone new. She stated that they were splitting the section and they will both be our servers. Once our food arrived I tried to flag down the trainee multiple times to get condiments and a water. He looked at me and rolled his eyes and walked past us multiple times. As someone who works in this service industry that behavior is definitely unacceptable. Every server should be willing to help their customers, even if they are a trainee or not in their section (but in this instance, I was in his section) Some improvements might be having a host during busy nights like Thursday through Saturday. Typically great service when I've come to this location. The service was a bit lacking this visit. The options for food always great. My half Cobb was the perfect amount as usual. The boneless thighs made my husband giddy. They took a lot less time than the bone in that he gets at our location. The feel is a simple restaurant that focuses what they are good at. I always order the dark chicken with a side of fries and their insanely good broccoli salad. That salad alone is worth the trip--I could honestly eat it as a full meal. For the price, Tumble 22 perfected their craft. Flavors are all on point. The broccoli salad is a bit sweet with the chunks of dried fruit which I enjoyed because it cut the fatty/oily flavors in the rest of the meal. The Cole slaw was decent as a side, but I thought the sides were got (I.e. collard greens) were only mid for me. After a little while, the meal feels a little one-note and you want something different. Fries are a good way to start off the meal. I am a big fan of Tumble 22 but this was my first time eating at this location and I hate to say it, but this location is not up to par with the other Tumble 22's in the area. Me and my boyfriend were both thrown off with our sandwich and the dirty fries. We barely had any chicken on our fries and the slaw on the sandwich was really throwing us off. I couldn't figure out what was different about it but it was not nearly as good as it is at other locations. My husband and I decided to try Tumble 22 Chicken as we were in the area. We pulled up, parked, and went inside. Upon entering there was a sign that said seat yourself. So we sat in a booth. The restaurant has a lot of windows so on a sunny day it's probably pretty well lit. The restaurant has a lot of seating with long tables and high stools, it has a bar area, and a few booths. We sat at a booth. After sitting we waited a few minutes before we were greeted by our waiter who checked to see what we wanted to drink. After asking for water he quickly left and returned with the water promptly. He asked if we were ready to order but I hadn't had a chance to look at the menu. They had a QR code that you could use to look at the menu, or you could look it up online. The waiter also offered a physical copy to me if I wanted it. I used my phone to see what I wanted. He left to give me time. I decided pretty quick but we had to wait as he was busy taking care of other customers. I decided to order a small order of Dirty Fries which is fries, with queso, hot chicken, and pickles. I also ordered OG Chicken Sandwich with no heat or painless and it comes with a fried chicken breast, coleslaw, pickles, and mayo. The Dirty Fries were good. I forgot to tell the waiter no spice or painless and the chicken was spicy. I tasted the kick right away but then I got used to it. The fries were soggy from all of the ingredients but they were good mixed in with everything. The queso on the fries was okay. The OG Chicken Sandwich was tasty. The chicken was a good size, it was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The mix of the chicken with the coleslaw, pickles, and mayo gave the sandwich texture and flavor. My husband and I decided to take a piece of pie for a sweet to eat at home. He ordered the Buttermilk Pie to go. We got our pie quickly and then we were on our way. Unfortunately when we got home I was surprised to see a slice of pecan pie instead of the buttermilk pie. The food temperature was mid and the food quality was bad, my thigh was mostly grease and breading barely any chicken. Just last week I visited the Round Rock location and it was a Night and day difference. More friendly and personable and the food quality and drinks were top level. Tumble 22 is a tried and true hot chicken joint! They do it right and the spice is real. I usually get the Mo Hot and the Dang Hot heat level depending on how I'm feeling that day lol. The tenders are pretty big, so 2 works perfectly for me. You must get the dirty mac- soo delicious and flavorful with lots of fun textures. It is usually really easy to get seated- sometimes it's full inside but the outdoor patio has fans so it's not too bad even in the warmer months. read more

A very busy place even around 1:30pm. We got seated quickly and order was taken accordingly. But the food took a while almost 25 minutes by the time it was served. Our Eason was very nice and pleasant. We order the Szechuan fries, white meat crispy chicken as well as the Korean chicken with sides like coleslaw, broccoli salad, mac n cheese, regular fries and greens. The chicken is on point. But, like many successful businesses, the multiple locations and/or expansion can dilute a name (less focus on strong operations and oversight and more on growth) Now this location has a great decor - both inside and outside. So I was excited for it! However, it didn't seem very clean inside or well managed. I visited Tumble 22 - Lake Austin location in Austin on Thursday, April 30th and placed an in-person takeout order for fries and a Cobb salad. I specifically requested no bacon and no meat because I'm vegetarian, and I also asked for the order to be made fresh. This was not listed as a special request on my receipt attached to the bag. Unfortunately, the experience did not match what I ordered. The fries were cold, which made it seem like they were not made fresh. In addition, the Cobb salad included deviled eggs, which I was not expecting. I would have preferred regular boiled eggs, and overall the salad was not enjoyable. First time here last night. I did an online order and saw a promo for free schezuan fries. I honestly found this place by accident and saw the food reviews. I love fried chicken, so I gave it a try and was not disappointed. I got the 2 boneless thigh meal and it was a huge portion!! I ordered slaw, beans, and the free fries too. I had so much food for less than $18. I was shocked. I wanted to try all the dipping sauces, so I got a side of them and they were 50 cents each. I wish I ate there so things would be hotter, but I took it back to my hotel. The chicken was hot and crispy still. The slaw was delicious, fresh, sweet, and crunchy. The beans had a lot of flavor and were really good. I enjoyed the fries as well with the chicken chopped up on them. Everything paired well together. They have both a hardcopy and a QR code for their menu. They do have a full bar along with some specialty drinks and some local craft beer. I wasn't really impressed by their 8 ounce eight dollar frozen margarita, best to go with the Big Larry which sadly is also 8oz. Let's start with the sides, the broccoli salad definitely has some heat to it, the fries are pretty average, the collard greens are good, but the coleslaw is better than what most barbecue joints serve. I got the half chicken, which was "Mo Hot" and it was definitely spicey! The only drawback on our visit was the fact that our waiter checked out after the food was delivered. There was not many servers on duty and our waiter got hit with a large party outside which kept him from taking care of us. It took another waitress to pick up his slack and offer us a dessert. They do make some very good pies and our chocolate cream pie was no exception. One recommendation I would make is that they need napkin dispensers on the tables since they only give you one.
