Super fun on Thursday when they have trivia. It's pretty simple but a good time with a crew. Pretty generous in the gift cards too for prizes. The vibe is pure sports bar. Plenty of parking in the plaza too. And if you're coming here, you're here for chicken - just what form factor do you want is the only question and what sauce. I personally like the tenders since it's a lot of chicken for the price. Spicy ranch is my favorite rub but their buffalo is classic too. First time visiting this location of Pluckers and picked a great night to come! Unbeknownst to me there was a trivia night happening and a few players from the Austin FC club were present and participating! The bar was pretty empty when I arrived but filled up fast. Luckily I had placed my order beforehand and came out fast. Great local beer selection and food was good as expected from Pluckers. Casual atmosphere and had a blast. Even caught some promos giving out by the FC and Yuengling. Will definitely be visiting again in the future! read more

The pluckers in 183 and burnet specifically are always great with their customer service and taste of food. The hostess and waitress were awesome. My only gripe unrelated to this trip is the price of pluckers. It's insanely expensive and that mainly why I only stick to the lunch specials now. Also be careful because the staff does put derogatory notes about the customers in the system. One time they accidentally printed mine out on the check. read more

I'm glad that I've given this location another chance. The table service we received was very nice. Our server was quite friendly. The pared down grilled chicken sandwich was prepared perfectly. We loved the mozzarella sticks--which could truly be a meal for one person. My only disappointment was with my dirty Coke. It wasn't tasty as I expected. Offering a $1 wing combo was something too good to pass on so we headed down to Pluckers and here's how it went... Parking is easy with a decent amount of open spots in a very spacious lot. The exterior looks good and there's a few outdoor tables but nothing I would consider a 'patio'. The interior is clean and the whole place is lined with enough TVs to make a Best Buy blush. Seems like a great place to be on any NFL Sunday. We were seated immediately and the service was very friendly as well. We ordered a grilled cheese with tater tots, 10 garlic Parmesan wings, and 10 spicy garlic Parmesan wings. The grilled cheese was good, a simple dish hard to mess up but better than an average one either way. The tater tots, however, were bland and textured like cardboard, an unfortunate miss since the grilled cheese was tasty. The garlic Parmesan wings were pretty good too, dry rubbed so no sticky fingers included. They don't skimp out on flavor, having both a nice garlic and Parmesan flavor combo going on with a good skin crisp, although some wings were slightly overcooked. Lastly, the spicy garlic Parmesan wings were great. The texture was perfect and normally with spice you lose a bit of flavor as it's overpowered, but not on these. You still taste the everything all the same and get a little zip of heat with every bite. By the end of our meal we were full and very satisfied. Again, the service was great, very friendly. While these weren't the best wine we've ever had, they were still very good and the wall of TVs has us planning to come back for a sporting event or two. We went last night for my cousin's birthday. She wanted to go there b/c she's a member of their club?!? Anyway, she would get her MEAL free. I told waiter I would pick up the check for the rest. Well he asked for her ID...I guess to verify her birthday(?). They brought the check & I did not have my reading glasses, so I picked a 25% tip and signed. When I went to my bank account today I saw the charge and thought that was high so I went back & priced what we had & figured her meal was NOT free. I mean I could give a rat's ass about the $17 but if that's what they offer then I believe it should be honored. The prices are ridiculous for some chicken wings, fries were stale and cold, service was sub par. It still has that sports bar atmosphere, but it's definitely not the same. The food was far worse than last time I was here... It has been years, but yikes. The chicken was tough enough that I could not comfortablely take a bite. I got "Cajun" that was somehow boring. Heard so many things about Pluckers, I finally had to try it! I got the spicy lemon pepper wings and the garlic parmesan. I enjoyed the garlic parmesan more and hope to try other flavors next time. The tater tots were pretty good and the celery sticks are a nice palate cleanser. The ranch was strangely addictive. Overall the wings are not bad but I felt like they were definitely overhyped. I was too full to get it this time, but I've tried the fried Twinkie at another Plucker's and it's amazing. The most notable thing to me was how frequently our server checked on us. My friend asked for extra celery and she gave her a whole plate too! There are lots of big TV's all over the restaurant. It's a family-friendly spot, there are people of all ages. I normally like Pluckers, but this visit at the Burnet Rd location was really frustrating due to extremely poor service. We clearly asked for separate checks at the beginning so everyone could use their individual rewards, but that never happened. Both the server and the manager blamed the system. What made it more confusing is that one check was able to be split out of four, yet we were told the rest couldn't be. Because of that, we were left sending money to one another so everything could be paid on one check, which meant we couldn't use our rewards or receive the appetizer comp. On top of that, there was no clear communication that an automatic gratuity was already added for a large party. I've been coming to Pluckers for years and have never had issues with split checks or auto-gratuity being added without explanation. Because of the lack of clarity, an additional tip was added when it shouldn't have been. We usually come to Pluckers because of the rewards and consistency, so this experience was disappointing and avoidable with better communication and basic check handling. Will not be back to this location at all. read more

Just to start I thoroughly enjoy Pluckers everywhere I've been. This review will be for service and seating more than anything. The menu is the same as all other locations, and I still think it offers the best bang for the buck. The food is fresh and good and the beers are cold and tasty. We visited on Mother's Day and had a short 10-15 minute wait after 6pm. Not a problem and not bad for the holiday and area. This location is notably less loud than most Pluckers and a bit older and smaller than most of the locations now. They serve Coke products here of course and the sweet tea is really good. I understand service can struggle at busy times so I don't stress it. It's a great wing spot, it's a great sports bar and it's great for a beer. I will definitely be back! read more

We visited on a Sunday afternoon about 1:30 and sat at the bar. The restaurant had a 45 min wait for two and I guess they were low on help because there were a lot of empty tables. Anyrate the bar was cool other than the food took almost 30 min to get to us and all we ordered was 15 buffalo wings and fries. The bar was full and there was only one person working the bar. Every once in a while someone would come help. The wings were not bad. As far as for eye candy. Well the bar was full and there were about 40 people at the bar and I only saw two women. Not to be a Karen, BUT... AWFUL EXPERIENCE. This service is beyond egregious. My friends & I waited in line for over an hour -- but the wait staff kept letting other parties ahead of us. "Maybe there were no tables?" - one might think. No, there were 8-10 open tables. Maybe they could just let us outside at one of the open tables? Sure...just wait an hour and a half buster.
