Punch Bowl Social at The Domain was the perfect spot for our Beef Team retreat! The venue had such a fun and energetic atmosphere with plenty of space for our group to eat, socialize, and play games. The venue offers a dynamic space where we enjoyed a variety of experiences all under one roof including bowling and classic arcade games. The food spread was impressive, featuring a mix of comfort food with a modern twist. Highlights for me were the Slow-Cooked Braised Short Ribs with crispy onion strings, Beef Medallions with Balsamic cream sauce, Mac and cheese, fresh salad with Iceberg and romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, red onions, crostini with tangy lemon vinaigrette and buttermilk ranch dressing and crispy Brussels sprouts with Hoisin sauce, Fresno chiles, cilantro. They also had an amazing dessert assortment with classic French macarons, petite cheesecake bites, and mini cupcakes that disappeared fast. The open bar kept the energy going, with an assortment of expertly mixed cocktails, craft beers, and a curated selection of wines. I ordered the margarita with Lunazul tequila, Bols triple sec, lime, Tres Agaves agave nectar, chili-lime salt and added strawberry and a tajin rim. The focal point of the building is a circular bar that looks like an upside-down punch bowl. The ceiling height makes the area look even larger. You can play a number of games including bowling, arcade games, darts, and sack toss game. This mixed-use restaurant and bar space, located in the domain, combines gaming with a complete bar and dining options. You can purchase a cocktail or beer along with bar food. The massive size of the space makes it ideal for company gatherings or large family events. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, with a large, open layout that feels like you are truly in your own little world within the Punch Bowl social club. We played games for hours with the time flying by like a jet airplane. While the food and drinks were good, the real fun was the games. Our servers were great and attentive. The queso was good and reasonably priced. We had non-alcoholic beverages so we could focus on our games better. Came here on a Monday late afternoon that stretched into evening. It was for my husband's birthday. Upon walking in the place seemed pretty empty. We had gone there for the $20 unlimited play. There was no one at the front desk when we got there, so we just kind of walked around and eventually found our way to The little desk/cubby where the guy stamped your hand and where you can check out bowling shoes, and what not. Not gonna lie, either the staff is very lazee fair, a bit too relaxed - but ok whatever. We played bowling for about an hour, and then we go play some darts, and then we do some of the arcade games, and then we decide to do some of the floor games, and then to end off the night, we decided to do karaoke. You definitely get a lot out of your $20! We had a lot of fun. The karaoke room is private thank goodness. We probably spent about 3 to 4 hours here. Would definitely return for the games! At that price point, what's not to love. We didn't have any issues with bowling time management or getting the karaoke room or anything like that even though I do see a couple reviews where people might've had some issues. We did not eat here because we had eaten prior, we came here just for the games. So I can't really talk on how the food is or how the staff is. But yeah all in all, had a good time! read more

We were invited here to enjoy a wonderful social event from our large group. I've never seen this spot, so it was a treat. There is plenty of free parking behind the building. We came here to celebrate my birthday which was back on 01/13 but no free time until this weekend. We had a good meal and then came here just for KARAOKE which we had never done, we had booked the room for 4 pm but due to some confusion with LFYT we were a little late. We checked in, got the mics and headed to the room. It has a bench/couch along one wall and a chair on another wall, the instructions are clearly posted and the song selection is varied, Shana loves Tegan and Sara and they had them. Weird Al, Showtunes, Violet Femmes and more. The door has glass and doesn't quite open all the way, also no way to cover the glass and I assume you can be heard as no soundproofing either. We wanted a room for some privacy to sing and the fact you can't quite get that is the one bad point to this. It is not really near anything, like you can't sit at the bar and see in but still. We were late a bit but they were understanding, we did call to say we would be, but the other downside is to utilize the room to the fullest and get drinks you have to order everything and wait until it is all made which cuts into your paid time. I don't blame the staff, more the management who doesn't pay well or staff enough. It is not a big issue but one to keep in mind. We only have the 2 of us and it was fun, it says you can do up to 6 or 9 but I feel it would get crowded and less fun at that point. We went to return the mics and no one was there, we waited as I didn't want to be charged for the mics or not leaving on time and no one came, several staff members saw us, even looked at us standing there with the Mic case and no one said anything. It was my first time at Punch Bowl Social and it was a 10/10 for me!! Ahh! I was visiting Austin for the weekend to attend the Texas Book Festival and we ventured here Friday night. We arrived during happy hour and when we walked in there was no one at the hostess stand. I found someone at the bar to ask about seating. After seating ourselves a server came by, greeted us, and dropped off water. We decided to do Karaoke which is 1/2 off during happy hour!! Our server directed me to the staff member who assisted with getting things set up for karaoke. She took the payment, provided the microphones, and gave instructions. If you find yourself wishing Dave & Buster's had a less gimmicky and more millennial sibling then Punchbowl Social would probably be your best friend. The menu is fun and the food is solid for a place that spends half its time being a game room. We ordered the Breakfast Burrito, Buttermilk Pancakes, The Knockoff Burger, and Shrimp Tacos. The food was average to good, nothing really exceptional, but again since the place is half focused on drinks and games it's not the biggest deal. The drinks were good minus the mimosas which were downright awful (at least the pineapple one was, orange was just fine). We ordered a few Rebel Rebels (great), Espresso Martinis (good), and a Slow Like Honey (good). The games are mostly free with a few exceptions so if you don't want to dog pile onto what will already be a hefty bill then you have options. We played Trouble, corn hole, shuffleboard, and some bike racing games all free of charge, which again is a nice plus to avoid paying even more. The service is friendly and we went at a time that wasn't too busy so we had no wait for games, but beware that this place does get VERY packed at times so plan accordingly. The energy at night probably does make it much more fun so we look forward to coming in then. Altogether, Punchbowl Social is a fun little brunch or date night to go to but it does get pricey very fast as drinks add up, the food itself wasn't priced that bad. When me and my boyfriend came in this time, we ended up sitting at the bar and ordering some of their cilantro honey wings and I was actually really impressed. We asked for all flats, which they delivered, and they were super crispy and juicy with awesome flavor. Even the ranch was really good! A friend had her birthday gathering here a week or so ago and we had a fun time! We met at the inside middle bar first and then headed over to the music bingo area after which also had a bar. I'd never played music bingo before and thankfully we could crowdsource the guessing to figure out if the song/artist was on our bingo card. ;-) The drinks and food were good, and we were able to get some on happy hour! The waitress working the bingo area was kind enough to get us when the area opened up for seating so we could find a good spot for our group of 10 or so people. Note that in the bingo area, you order food and drinks at the bar and they bring it to you or you have to get it at the bar and take it to your seat. We were near the DJ playing the songs so that was fun too! They didn't have a card for everyone so we shared cards near the end and they gave away some fun prizes to the birthday girl and other winners. It's been years since I last vistied Punch Bowl Social and as I recall it was a lot of fun. This time it was for an after work party. We had a private large area on the quiet side of the venue with about 25 or more of us celebrating a successful promotion day. Service was excellent and none of us wanted for drink or food. I sampled their charcuterie board, hummus plate (which is huge), and mozzarella sticks. These were a great representation of what bar food should be. I ordered the shrimp tacos for dinner. These are street tacos, read small, but you do get 4 of them. They were good but I should have added some heat to them as they were rather plain tasting. I do want to give props to our server and the food runners. We were pretty spread out over 5 tabletops and booths but our primary server was spot on. She even remembered our drink orders. However, we didn't have the service we expected and my team members complained about the timing of the orders and not having someone check on us from time to time. Ordering a drink took over 20 mins and we would get the wrong order at times. I still had one more drink to order and it never arrived. I don't want to base our entire experience on this as the place is very nice, there were other groups arriving after us and they all seemed to be having a blast. Punch Bowl offers plenty of activities to keep you entertained, including mini golf, arcade games, and bowling. Check out their instagram or their website as they host social events throughout the month. Lastly, they offer drinks & a basic American/bar food menu. Saturdays are open to all ages until 10 PM, but after that, you'll need to be 21+. The food and drinks are pretty mediocre--not something I'd go out of my way for. Punch Bowl is a good concept but I think it just needs some refining. Both of the food items we got were mid - the sweet potato fries with carnitas tasted weird with the ketchup mixed in, like it did not go well with the Mexican flavors of the carnitas and avocado. The chicken quesadillas were flavorless and really needed the salsa it came with. Both items were not served very hot. Our server was helpful and split checks many ways which was nice. The free entertainment options were some board games and shuffleboard but because of the way things are laid out it's kind of hard to be near your food and go play those. You could probably have the same experience at Dave & Buster's and have like a boatload of things to do not just a couple like at this location. So after we sit down and look at the menu, we decided we were just gonna wait for our family to show up, and the server was like, "OK yeah, no problem. Let me know when you're ready to order." Upon calling them and realizing, OK, maybe they're a little bit further than expected, we're gonna order some appetizers. Well, literally right when that happened, our waiter comes up and takes our menus away and says, "Oh, here's our new menu. We close our kitchen at 10." Like, they had come to our table multiple times. They could've given us a warning. "OK, by the way, we're gonna close down our kitchen in the next 25 minutes" or whatever it was. They didn't tell us anything. They just said, "OK. Let me know when you're ready." Oh, by the way, we're not accepting orders anymore. What kind of crap is that? That's ridiculous. We got picky eaters in my group, so once they gave us a small snack menu that had practically nothing but bar food on it, we were just like, "OK, we're probably gonna go find somewhere else then." I called my sister and I said, "Are you OK with this, or do you want to grab a bite to eat somewhere else?" She said, "Heck no, yeah, we're definitely going somewhere else. I don't want to eat crap!" My husband and I ate here years ago, as in like over ten years ago, and we were really hoping to have the same experience not that we had back then. The whole menu is different and it seems more like basic food with lots of games and fun things to do. Don't get me wrong, I love all of the activities and big screen TV's everywhere, but it is definitely better for watching sports and having a beer than it is a place to go get a satisfying meal. Our server was great and he tried his best but the food was just coming out a miss. I have teens and young adults and hardly anyone finished their food. Nothing was mind blowing, the waffles were just "okay" and the chicken and waffles came out overcooked and very dry twice. It was so bad they just took it off the bill. Our waiter seemed to be the only one in the place that cared about service, some of the food runners dropped the food at the table behind us even when we told them it was ours. (Granted we had 2 tables for our group but NO ONE was sitting at the other one!) The fried were really good, hot and fresh, and the pull apart bread was decent, fresh baked, nicely seasoned, fluffy, served with hot marinara, couldn't complain about it. For the ones that got burgers, they said they were good and didn't have any complaints. All in all, it is a really cool hang out spot to have fun with friends/family, watch sports, and play, but for the food, I would maybe just stick to a burger and some appetizers. It'd been a while since I've been here and it's even better now than what I remember before. We stopped at the bar and got some drinks at the full bar. It's spacious and so many different games to play. We played darts, skeet ball and tried our luck at the pinball machines by the washrooms. The staff were helpful and friendly and the washrooms were clean. The last time I was there I had the food which was typical bar type food and perfect for soaking up the alcohol. Even though it was crowded, it is spacious enough to move about and play whatever games without too much of a wait. I'm curious about the bowling to try next time.
