January 15th is a very special day for many reasons - MLK's birthday, my sorority's founders day and my brother's birthday...ample reason to celebrate and that we did! My sorority gathered for Happy Hour at Bar Louie for a January 15th celebration totaling 60+ in number. We ordered flatbread, wings, quesadillas, to name just a few along some adult beverages including strawberry margaritas, strawberry lemonade sangria and lemon drop martinis. We loved the flatbreads, calamari and quesadillas. Flatbread was a generous portion and could really have been eaten by three people or two people if you were very hungry. The quesadillas were the hit of the evening, thick and loaded with plenty of ingredients...by far the favorite! The wings were good but a bit hard fried and crunchy. The drinks were delicious especially the lemon drop, strawberry margaritas and strawberry lemonade...group favorites! There were an array of select Happy Hour items for 50% off. Who doesn't love a bargain when good food is served? Service was excellent, which is not always the case at Bar Louie. Our server placed our order quickly and our food was delivered rather fast and hot! We were charged an automatic 20% gratuity for having a large party, which is standard fare for most restaurants. Bar Louie is a billed as a "Gastrobar" built on the "tenets of Eat. Drink. Be Happy." To me Bar Louie is a cross between a modern speakeasy and a 80's bar. They have upgraded their dance floor since I last visited with some very attractive colorful dance floor backdrop lights. They also had karaoke (total fun to see my sorority sisters belt out songs in a range of pitches) and a small dance floor to tickle your dancing fancy from slow intimate dancing to boisterous line dancing. I actually really like this chain restaurant. The food is good and the music is a vibe. Although, for this particular location they kept they had a lot of gnats and flies flying around and it was very annoying to dine in. Otherwise, the location is surrounded by a strip so many other things to do after eating. read more

Have been coming here for a few months and its become one of our favorite go to spots. Pretty much everything we've ordered is on point and reasonably priced. Also the kids meals are a great value for the amount of food and quality of what you get. read more

Went to Bar Louie last night for trivia night with the girls. Had an amazing time. We had some drinks, apps and other food. Was a little disappointed on the first drink. It was very watered down, but the berry margarita was amazing! Our server was great. Checked up on us a couple of times and enjoyed our food while playing trivia. Parking was hard to find. Ended up parking in the way back, almost to the other corner of the hotel. Was a little worried since I wasn't going to the hotel but the bar but it worked out. read more

Nice happy hour spot for quick meal at end of the week. Wings always good and we really like the Salmon sliders. They have a variety of food items for appetizers which is good for majority. Drinks we're not good this day, however, it depends on the bar tender as I've been few times and has not been consistent. But overall, it's nice bar/grill for friends to get together for meal that won't break the bank. Also, music in background is nice touch but it can be too loud for some. read more

It was just OK, still new and has time to adjust. When you enter the staff is super friendly and very loudly welcomes you. We chose a seat at a booth and they had just opened, so it wasn't overly crowded. The server was attentive maybe a little to attentive as she kept coming over although our drinks and food were full but I'll take that over no attention at all. It was happy hour and it wasn't obvious as to what was included and the server wasn't 100% sure. My suggestion is to put in the menu the items included in HH so there is no confusion. We started with Spinach and artichoke dip which was just OK and needed salt. We also had the Calamari, which I couldn't eat as it was soggy and needed to be fried longer. And finally the Pickles, which were seasoned well and fried well and definitely will be ordered again. For my cocktail I went with the Lemon drop as I was intrigued that they added grand marnier. Definitely had a tasty taste but was a little sweet so for round 2 I opted for no sugar. The first attempt had to be sent back as lipstick was on the glass, I mean the full outline of someone's red lips ( I mean you've only been open for 2 days, so no pass on dirty glasses) but the 2nd attempt was yummy and not too sweet. The 3rd round whelp my server forgot to ask for no sugar so I patiently waited and it was still a great choice. For entrees we got the fish and chips and the quesadillas. I appreciated the fact that the batter for the fish was seasoned but wasn't a fan of the quesadilla's. Overall it was an ok experience, nothing to write home to mom about. Will i return, maybe but I wouldn't go out of my way. A few tips: 1. Add notes on what's on HH to the menu 2. Have your staff remove cell phones from the registers, especially when they constantly blast loud music as the ringer read more

We decided to stop by the bar around 2:15 pm on June 1st for a Kickin Bloody Mary. The young lady behind the bar served Bloody Mary drinks with no garnishing. After ordering a second one each she served them the same. I asked about the garnish and she told me that they didn't have any seasoning for the cucumbers. She was going to charge us for the Kickin Bloody Mary. (I guess trying to pull a slick one on us). We're not stupid! I told her we were not going to pay full price for what we didn't receive. A gentleman had just came on shift and helped her with the correct price. The attached picture shows what we were served. I'm giving 3 stars because we've been here for lunch several times and the food was great. This past experience turned us off. read more

Was excited to try this place after multiple friends raved about the food. A good friend chose it for her birthday party (party of 20+), so she was excited about it, too. Ambiance is good (though the music can be a little loud if you're seated right by the stage like we were), service is friendly, large dining space and cool dance floor. Food was OK, but not for the prices charged, in my opinion. Maybe HH has the better deals! Also, and this is the more important part for me, several of us were charged incorrectly (in my case, I was charged for my ticket and another ticket in my party), even though the server took our cards and started tabs as each of us ordered, so there should have been no issues keeping track. Still waiting on a call to get my bill straightened out, after calling the night of the issue, and stopping back by the morning after to speak to the same manager about it, and being assured it had been taken care of. read more

I travel frequently. I happened to Travel to Austin, TX last week. I didn't really want to stay in the city and heard Round Rock was a delightful district slightly north of downtown Austin. I didn't want to stay at any old place. I wanted to stay somewhere I didn't have to navigate far for a nice evening cocktail. This caused me to stumble upon the Embassy Suites by Hilton. WITH A BAR LOUIE ATTACHED! LIVE MUSIC?!?!? YES, PLEASE! That meant no Uber rides anywhere! Straight from the room to the bar and back again. I was making roundtrips in Round Rock! If you know what I'm saying! During this endeavor I was able to meet one of the bar managers Michael. This guy was awesome (understatement), super welcoming, and I was able to talk to him like we knew each other for a lifetime. I would 100% recommend visiting this Bar Louie if you get a chance! read more
