My son and I ordered burgers -- he got his with fries and I got mine with tots -- and my daughter ordered the hot honey turkey biscuit. It took quite a while for the food to come out, but what I will say is that the burger I ordered is literally one of the best burgers I have ever had. We had about 55-75 people coming by in droves. The beer selection is next level draft and bottles. They have a really nice signature cocktail menu with the house recipes but they will make anything g you ask for. The bar part of the establishment is top notch. This is my second trip here, the first time was a great experience. The atmosphere is lively, while still being kid friendly. I love that you can order from your table using the QR code or order drinks from the bar. This visit I ordered from the brunch menu and got the cheesesteak with brisket and fries. The sandwich was pretty bland. It was made with grilled peppers and onions. And a slice of cheese. After my first experience, the sandwich is not one that I would recommend. Was invited to a networking event at this Bouldin Acres where you can meet, eat, drink and play. There is plenty of parking in the front. When you first come into the building they have a checkin area with a store and restrooms. There are a variety of food trucks on site to choose from as well as a full service bar with a variety of cocktails. We were meeting to play pickleball and you can book the pickleball courts in half hour increments a week in advance. There are several pickleball courts in the outdoor area in the back with seating options including picnic tables for people to sit and visit or enjoy food and drinks. My friends brought the pickleball equipment but rented the pickleball courts for a few hours. There are also other entertainment options including TVs, bar games and playground. Came out on a Friday evening around 7:30 and the place was packed! No parking available. I think some of my friends parked at the USPS nearby that was closed, not sure if that's alright. You have to order your food through a QR code or NFC on your table that directs you to download an app called Union. I cannot express how bad this app is. Not only is it laggy, it also doesn't accept prepaid visas. Having to install an app just to order is ridiculous. Some of my table were able to get away with using some web interface but on Android, I was redirected to the app download every time. I guess I went on their opening weekend or right after it? Either way, most of the beers on draft were listed as sold out. Their fried cauliflower was also sold out. I ordered the burger and tater tots and my partner got the chicken tenders and fries. The rest of our table got different things like the sausage. There was no rhyme or reason for how orders came out. I ordered my drink first but got it last. My partner's chicken tenders came out 10 minutes before my burger, and it took another 14 minutes for the rest of the food to come out. All in all, we waited 35+ minutes for our table's food. The burger itself was alright. Heavy on the pickle. Tater tots were nice and crispy. I don't like how they serve ketchup packets with the meal. My partner's chicken tenders were pretty dry. Both dishes nut allergy friendly. Overall, a great spot to meet with friends and have a drink or play pickleball (if you reserve a court), but I wasn't a huge fan of the food or service. read more

My Wife and I and 3 other friends ate here on April 19th. Once we figured out the app to order we ordered our food and drinks. Food was good and drinks were good. What wasn't good was the service. The one Waitress who was on the floor never came to our table, she literally avoided eye contact. The food was brought out by someone who, I guess, didn't speak English. I asked a couple questions and just got a blank look and no answers. After finishing our food and looking at our empty drinks and plates we closed our tab on the app and paid on the app. A day later I received our receipt and saw they had added a 20% tip to our bill. That was not what I agreed to on the app. We are from out of town and left the day after we ate here so I could not go in to restaurant and dispute this. I'm thinking the outdoor bar is only open for events but this was the first time I've been to this location. Otherwise the inside bar is large with seating inside with a bunch of TVs. The washrooms are unisex. You can order by downloading the menu and the staff will bring it to your table or just go straight to the bar. After the SXSW event was over and the hired DJ packed up, they turned on the audio of one of the games playing on the screen and it was so loud and nobody seemed to watching any game. So that was annoying and was similar to sitting next to a loud person shouting nonsense. It would've been better to continue playing music. Stopped in after a Austin FC game for a couple of brews and maybe a snack. We saw the tap list had some pretty decent choices plus canned and bottle brews help to round it off. I wish they had a couple more local "exotic" brews but seems that everyone needs to make room for a few taps from 'the big boys'. Still, we found something good to drink but here's hoping they rotate out taps regularly. We ordered the Beef Fajita nachos, which were good and filling for two guys. I don't care for any type of white cheese on nachos though. I think it should be illegal to put anything other than good ole cheddar on nachos or, at the very least, call it something else :) The general food prices were pretty high so I don't see us eating dinner there so splitting the nachos came to about $7.50 for each of us, reasonable for making an appetizer a meal. Two other things that bugged us. 1, seems more and more businesses are trying to move to ordering by phone. If the only way I can order my food and drink is by plugging my credit card number into another vulnerable app for someone to hack then I won't be eating or drinking there. Fortunately, sitting at the bar, we could order directly from the nice bartenders. 2) When you peruse the menu (food or drink) online it is extremely difficult to know what the prices are because they don't list them. When you're sitting at the bar you can see the food prices on the menu but I don't recall that we saw the beer prices. Why can't places be more transparent? Makes me feel like they're trying to lure you in with good looking menu items, and when you see the prices you say... "well, we're already here...". The beer prices on the printed menu are missing. But if you want to know the ABV, well that's there. If you use the QR code thingy the you can look up prices that way, but it's a pain to do that when it could either be on the menu or a black board. All in all this place will probably become a neighborhood staple, due to location and large size and a bazillion TVs running mostly sports. We had a lot of fun ordering shareables, which were tasty and unique. Not a lot of places around here have white barbecue sauce! Inside was almost like an airplane hangar. It was very large and spacious with a large bar. Since the weather was nice, we opted for the patio. We went a little later in the evening, at around 9 or so on a Thursday, and there were still a lot of kids and dogs around so if you have issues with either of those, waiting to go later won't solve the problem. We got a table pretty easily, although it was difficult to move the overly large and heavy chairs around. There are some pickleball courts, a small dog park, and lots of open space. I hate the app for ordering. We placed our order and the food came out quickly. We ordered pork crispito tacos, smoked wings, and loaded nachos. We ordered the nachos without pickled onions but they came anyway. It was easy enough to pick them off, though. The tacos were definitely our favorite. We will go back to try more things and maybe try sitting inside instead since most of my discomfort was due to where we were sitting, hence 4 stars. Bouldin Acres is an excellent addition to the North Austin area! Similar to the one located on the south side, Bouldin Acres excels in games, bar foods, drinks and fun for the family. Easy to order , pay and split checks, they have a QR code system that works really well. Prices are on the higher side for the quality of the food and drinks but if you are willing to spend about $30-40 a person, then you'll be happy with the venue. Pickleball courts are available. Easy to order with QR code and Apple Pay is nice, but I do not like or understand the $3.50 per Coke for such a small cup with no free refills‍. Each time you want one...you add to order and pay $3.50 again. I just have never seen that before. Food came pretty quick, but no one followed up with us to see how food was. I guess since everything is done on app and every request for anything extra that you want or forgot, like side sauce or more coke you pay for. We will probably go back since we live right behind it in Gracywoods...but it will not be regularly. Not sure how the pickleball works, the same people were playing the entire time we were there...so we did not sign up. And last...when closing tab since it stays open in the app. It automatically goes to a 25% tip. Not sure what the tip is for, since all they do is deliver. They do not take the order, no follow up when we get and when I asked how in order extra sauce when she delivered our food, she said it goes into the special instructions and did not offer to bring us any‍. They do have togo boxes, but we had to go to the bar and ask for one since no one comes around after food is delivered. We found out it cost extra sauce and is under sides.
