Very spacious patio
Lyla A.

Their service was exceptional! We are so glad Yelp brought us here. It was delicious! We ordered three mild tenders with mac & cheese cheese, three medium tenders with fries, a kids, no spice, tender with fries, and 2 damn hot and one clucking hot tender with grits. They have excellent waffles as well as a nice variety of drinks. It's cold right now, but they have fans overhead and I am so happy that there is such a spacious patio at the domain. I hope Hattie B's is around for a long time! GPS had a hard time finding it, but it is very close to Hat Creek and directly across the street from Jin Ya Ramen. The food was excellent. Please see my pics!

Came during their friends and family soft opening and had a blast! I'm a huge fan of Hattie Bs and excited to see one open up at the domain. You simply order at the counter and they will bring out your food! I'm a huge fan of the tenders and Mac and cheese. Chicken is very juicy with a hint of heat. I know the medium is pretty hot too. I also tried the salad and was surprised at how juicy the chicken was! Lots of seating inside and outside on the covered patio. It's next to a parking garage so plenty of parking available.

Would come back again! Food: The chicken was juicy and tender! I got spice level medium and it was not spicy, on days I'm looking for more of a kick I'll probably try hot or spicier! The fried pickles were sooooo good and beautifully fried. One con was it was a bit salty but still enjoyed it. The waffle is an interesting texture, a bit more cakey and similar flavor of a funnel cake! Service: workers at the Domain location are so friendly and attentive. Great staff!

I had Hattie Bs in Nashville during a road trip and was excited that they opened locations in Austin. I don't come to the domain much but I finally had a chance to check it out on a Saturday for early dinner. The service was pretty quick but the menu seems a bit scarce in comparison to the one in Nashville. I got the three piece tenders medium heat with pimento Mac and cheese and a strawberry lemonade with vodka frozen. The tender was good but I really enjoyed the pimento Mac and cheese and the frozen didn't even taste like it has alcohol in it. It's a pretty good solid hot chicken place but tumble 22 is better in my opinion in terms of variety and option.

THE BIG: Nashville hot chicken, now with a second location in the domain! This space feels smaller than the one in South Lamar but it's so much closer to me than the south location. Parking are available in the garage. THE BLACK AND WHITE: One of my favorite Nashville hot chicken spots. Let me tell you, the hot is very hot. THEN there's the two heat enthusiast levels. No way Jose. Those are the Damn Hot and the Shut The Cluck Up. You won't see me trying that any time soon. I usually get a quarter bird with the breast and the wing, boned in and with medium spice. I tried hot last time and it was very hot. Don't say I didn't warn you. They also serve booze and boozy cocktails if you want to cool off the heat with some libations. THE FINAL BAMBOO: To be honest, we've tried everything on their menu and it was delicious. A normal meal (quarter bird or 3 tendies) will set you back around $13. Great value for a great meal.

Welcome to the Domain, Hattie B's!! Hits: -medium chicken sandwich -waffles (more like a cake donut in the shape of a waffle, but we dig that) -great service Misses: -fries were not all the way cooked -happy hour was a little unclear without asking I'm sure I'll be back.

Hattie B's lived up to the hype for me. Simple, satisfying, and exactly what you want when you're craving hot chicken. The chicken was juicy with a great crispy exterior, and the spice was flavorful rather than just painful. For me, the real flavor starts at the Medium level and up -- that's where the seasoning actually shines. Medium is very manageable and enjoyable if you can handle a bit of heat. The fries were solid too: crispy, well-seasoned, and the perfect side to balance out the chicken. Overall, I liked it and would definitely come back when I'm in the mood for Nashville-style hot chicken done right.

My first time here and man it did not disappoint. Shout out to Cassie John, & Trish for the amazing customer service. They gave great advice on the different spice levels and even let me sample the Damn Hot . I got a mix of items to try. The 3 piece tender and bacon cheese grits were amazing . Grits were cheesy and full of flavor and the tenders were HUGE & so juicy . I got them HOT and it was a perfect amount of heat . I got the damn hot on the side since I love spicy things . I loved the pimento Mac and cheese and the waffle were next level . Eat the waffles with the hot tenders and you won't regret it . The spicy and sweet combo is a match made in heaven . The dirty bird fries had me on a chokehold & I could not stop eating them. Seriously addicting with the chicken, pickle , pimento, & crispy crinkle fries it was a bomb flavor combo . If you don't want the heat it's ok they also have mild so don't worry . The ambience and music is great & I love the decor . They also have drinks and beer on tap with a happy hour from 3-6 everyday . Get the watermelon marg with the damn hot rim and you won't regret it . With amazing vibes & fresh made to order food you won't be disappoint.

Most delicious friend chicken with sides & yes drinks/ bar. It's located by Haywire in the Domain. Exterior patio available too!

I enjoyed my visit. The mild chicken sandwich was hot! I can only imagine what the spicy is like...though maybe I just have a weak spice intake idk. Customer service was splendid. The food did take a bit long to come out but I chalked that up to them making the food hot and fresh.

Stopped in for a late night snack after a night out, to get my fried chicken fix! Ordered the 3 fried tenders at Medium spice level with fries as my side. The tenders were okay - a little tough/chewy but fine. I was disappointed by the spice level. I felt like the medium spice level had no kick! Made a mental note to definitely get a level or two higher in the future. The crinkle cut fries were crunchy and delicious. Service was good, space is clean and decorated with chicken artwork adorning the walls indoors & outside. They have a good amount of seating between the indoor space and the outdoor patio.

Love their ice!

Super cute new chicken spot that was definitely need in The Domain area. It was my bf and I's first time ever and we enjoyed our visit. Of course there was a line since this was around the first week they opened. However, the service was quick and the staff were on point! The lady that took our order actually gave us samples and great suggestions. The inside was a little tight due to the crowd but the patio is beautiful and offers tons of space. They also have tv's for entertainment. Food wise, we went with classic bone in and everything was fresh! Of course, I went with the spiciest flavor and personally, it wasn't very spicy so I was a little bummed. However, I did enjoy my bf's mild chicken with their signature comeback sauce. The fries are so so good and crispy! Overall, we'll definitely be back to try other dishes and desserts! Glad to see this great new addition to the area :)

New location at the domain. The fried chicken hits the spot. Crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The spices on the batter are on point and delicious. Crinkle fries and the fried pickles are a nice accompaniment. We also love the cheesy bacon grits. If you're look for good fired chicken, this is the spot. Service was friendly.

Finally I stopped by with a friend after a long bike ride and we took home a whole chicken to split. Um. Everything was DELICIOUS! The whole chicken came with soft corn tortillas, salsas, and a side each of beans and rice. An grilled/roasted (aka slightly charred) onion was wrapped up in parchment with the chicken, absorbing yummy chicken flavors that was pulled apart for tacos. Everything was flavorful and the beans were studded with bacon chunks in it. Yes, it was that good! The chicken was really flavorful. Very savory and perfectly charred. . It's mesquite grilled chicken but I don't think I've had anything like it.. Unlike typical American barbecue, this wasn't sweet at all. Some of the white meat pieces were a bit dry, so I ate them with the beans and all was well.

Now let's talk about the service, because this was the cherry on top. The manager was so personable and genuinely proud to share the story of Happy Chicks and their locations. You could tell she loved being there -- and that kind of energy set the tone for my whole meal. The place was clean, the parking lot spotless, and service was quick. The free…read moreand freshly fried, well-seasoned tortilla chips are consistently excellent, and the restaurant is always clean and welcoming. Overall, we truly enjoy dining here. However, I do have a few concerns that are worth noting for both management and potential customers: First, this is not an inexpensive place to eat. Most individual options range from $15 to $16 or more per person. At that price, I find it disappointing that pico de gallo was removed from the salsa bar. It used to be included, but now it's only available in a ***VERY*** small portion for an extra added charge. It feels like a cost-cutting move that doesn't align with the pricing. I would rather see a modest price increase than see staple items like this diminish. The salsa bar is OVERLY loaded with salsas, so wouldn't it make more sense to trim the excessive amounts of salsa and bring back a very popular option like pico de gallo that people actually WANT? When you make decisions, make it make sense. The second issue is with customer service which can be hit or miss depending on who is working. Most of the staff are friendly, attentive and professional. I appreciate the service they provide. However, there is this one male employee whose demeanor is consistently indifferent or downright dismissive. His apathy DRAINS ME. He rarely acknowledges customers and doesn't offer the same courtesy and attentiveness as the other team members. While I understand everyone has different personalities, hospitality is a key part of the dining experience and this person could use instruction from management to provide a little more courtesy and professionalism. It's expensive out here...so making customers feel valued keeps business. Fix homeboy's attitude. I share this feedback not to be harsh because this restaurant has so much going for it, but missteps matter. A few small changes could easily take the overall experience from good to truly great.

He genuinely cares about his customers and it shows. He even offered samples of the tamarind lemonade, brown sugar lemonade, and hibiscus tea right away. That kind of hospitality instantly sets the tone. What impressed me most was how consistently attentive and kind he was to everyone -- adults, teenagers, and even little kids were all treated with the same great level of service. You can tell he's truly customer-service oriented. It's located in a shopping center so lots of parking. The menu is large with plenty of options to choose from. I decided on a bento box because I was craving bulgogi and jap chae, and this one came with both plus kimchi and pickled sides! I also ordered the tamarind lemonade, which wasn't too sweet exactly how I like it. I honestly wasn't planning on finishing everything in my bento, but it was so delicious that I did! The bulgogi was prepared just the way I like it. My sister-in-law is half Korean, and when we visit, her mom cooks amazing homemade Korean meals for us. I was really craving that comforting, authentic flavor today and Kochu absolutely satisfied it. The portions are generous and the value for the price is fantastic. Between the incredible customer service and the delicious food, this place is an easy 5 stars for me. Wish we had something like this South of Austin.
