These extra items paired well with the Toppoki sauce with just a little dip, but more importantly, they provided a different texture and acted as a bit of a flavor cleanser throughout the meal. The portion size was pretty decent; I had leftovers after feeling pretty full. Meal Number 2 on the menu comes with ramen, and from what I saw at other tables, it would be more suitable for sharing, so I'm glad I didn't overestimate my appetite! I ended up needing a to-go box, and it was a little unfortunate they only had thin styrofoam to-go boxes. The sauce was seeping through the box and into the plastic bag I brought myself by the time I got home.

A small squeeze of lime was the crowing jewel. I was very pleased with my selection. There is ample parking if you want to get your food to go. They brought a lot of their old menu with them which is great because I loved their viet food. The banh khot (turmeric pancakes) are still delicious, and their "chef's special" which is a very generous portion of fried fish filets in a tamarind sauce is a phenomenal dish, one that I'd come just to eat. The fish is fried super well and the sauce is incredibly flavorful. Don't sleep on the wings either. Good size, cooked perfectly (crispy and not dry). They're still transitioning from the old juicy claws menu so not everything on the old menu is available yet. But what is available is fantastic. The service is also friendly and kind. It's past crawfish season, so we didn't do any of the signature boils. But it's a broad menu with Viet/Thai curries, fried rice, pasta, and other special dishes. The turmeric mini-pancakes are phenomenal flavor bomb appetizers that really show off the chef's originality and taste balance, with a bit of crawfish tail, tangy/hot sauce, with a tiny dollop of coconut crema. I also really enjoyed the generous portion of the "Chef's Special", lightly battered and fried fish with vegetables and a pineapple-tamarind sauce. A couple of my friends went with the Cajun fried rice with shrimp and liked it. The server was attentive and responsive and kept things moving. He calls everyone "boss", endearing though trite. My family and I used to go there regularly. We also had big meals there with friends. The dishes we particularly liked were the Spicy Beef and Fried Tofu with crushed pepper. I did not understand why many of my Asian friends didn't like the restaurant until I met an extremely rude cashier one day. Early this year, my husband and I came to Asia Café. There was a customer ordering at the front desk. After she finished ordering, she went back to her table and started talking with her friends, so I approached the counter. The cashier shouted at me with a hateful expression, "They haven't finished yet. Stand there!" I was shocked. Later, it was my turn. My husband and I usually ordered two dishes. However, it was a day of celebration, so we were thinking about ordering one more dish. I asked cheerfully, "Three dishes for two people should be okay, right?" She replied coldly, "How do I know how much you eat?" Hello? I came here to eat. I didn't owe her anything, and I certainly didn't deserve to be treated as if I wasn't welcome. The next few times I went there, I was still served by the nice lady. But one day, I met the rude older lady again and was mistreated. I stopped going. I do not recommend this place at all.
