Quail
Cam H.

The quail dish was perfectly seasoned, if you're looking for something sweet, smoky and savory, definitely order this. The snail dish was so buttery and garlicky, also excellent! I enjoyed their raw oysters as well. The crawfish, however, was a bit too salty for my taste and leaned more towards one flavor profile of savory. I wish they could make it just a bit sweeter. The scallion clams were okay, sauce was great but clams were a bit tough. Staff were nice, good service. Very spacious and casual spot. I would definitely want to come back to try their other dishes!

You can definitely get real Viet food here, even better, real Viet food that are great with beers (đồ nhậu). This restaurant is so fun and homey at the same time. Parking is easy. We got seated right away and the staff was super quick and helpful to help us choose from their big menu. Will come back here during craw fish season to try their best sellers :)

Saw a review on their garlic shrimp noodles and they did not disappoint. We also ordered the salt and pepper shrimp and the an egg fried rice. You can get the salt and pepper shrimp de-shelled which makes them easier to eat; I normally get them with the shell on so I was surprised that they were still tender and not over cooked. The egg fried rice was also nice and one of my top fried rice orders in town - well seasoned and with a light hand on the soy sauce. They also have drinks as well. Lunch during the week is not that busy and it looks like they have entertainment on weekend nights. Will probably try their boils next as well. Service is also great here. Very friendly and the food comes out within a reasonable time.

SHRIMP GARLIC NOODLES

I came to this location yesterday to place a to-go order as this place had been bookmarked on my Yelp "food to-do" list for ages. When I entered the establishment, I intended to walk to the payment counter to place an order, but the hostess/server asked me to wait at the host stand. When she returned, I advised her I intended to purchase a meal for take-out. I knew what I planned to order prior to coming in, and therefore, I did not request a menu prior to placing the order. Let's get to it! Garlic shrimp pasta Olive oil and garlic really are the start of many wonderful sauces, but in this pasta dish, they actually get a chance to shine. These garlic noodles were simple but tasty. The garlic on this dish was light and not overdone. the shrimp were perfectly cooked, but there were only a few on the dish. For those who like garlic, this dish is worth a try. Cajun Fries What are they? Cajun seasoning is a blend of spices that is commonly used in Cajun cuisine and while there is no standard "recipe" or ratio of ingredients, Cajun seasoning commonly includes a combination of paprika, garlic and onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne, black pepper and salt. These fries had most of the key ingredients listed here. However, they were hard. Fries can become hard and hollow if they are undercooked or overcooked. In this case, the fries were overcooked and, as such, were not edible. However, to be fair, most folks don't come to a place called Juicy Claws for fries. Total $23.81 *Thanks to Silverfox and my friend Askia for getting on me to get this review out lickety-split!

It was odd to have no music. The staff was friendly. But it could have been a lot cleaner. The fries were good.

SEAFOOD COMBO. Shrimp, fish, oyster

Lots to like about this place. It's a cross between Cajun, Vietnamese, and Florida gulf coast seafood. Lots of options to choose from on the menu including boiled seafood bags, noodles, fried rice, grilled and fried seafood. It's quite the menu. The Shrimp Garlic Noodles were very good. Perfectly cooked with tons of garlic flavors. The trio fried seafood combo was mostly good. Fried shrimp and oysters were excellent. Lightly battered and very tasty. The fish was ho hum. They use Tilapia which is quite bland. Would love to see them use a higher quality fish. Service was friendly albeit a little spotty. This might be due to the newness of the place. Dishes come out when ready. Our two main dishes were served 15 mins apart.

Found out about this restaurant from a friend and went to try on a whim even though I had no idea what to expect. I've already been 3 times in a month! After the first visit, we were informed of their catering menu and Vietnamese food not on the current menu. We came back to try it! Canh chua, ca kho, beef tendon salad, grilled fish Love love love the canh chua, so full of rich flavors and the ca kho was pretty well seasoned. The beef tendon salad was something I'd write home about also. This is the type of salad I grew up eating with tangy spicy fish sauce dressing. I love it with jellyfish, but was very surprised it worked so well with the beef tendon. From the menu, the sauce with the calamari was excellent and I love the jumbo grilled squid Great place if you like to watch the games on bug screen TVs. Plenty of of parking. They also have a boba drink menu.

I absolutely give this place a 10 out of 10! The service is as phenomenal! We were there celebrating my gems 5th birthday and it was an excellent experience. The fried chicken wings for appetizers were very tasteful and well seasoned; my fish and shrimp platter produced a literal party in my mouth! Our waiter bought my gem a piece of cake with a candle and they sang Happy Birthday. I would definitely come again!

We need better seafood choices in the area. I'm so happy that have opened near me!!! They have a great looking menu. I can't wait to try a little bit of everything.

The ambiance was open and bright. Although we didn't eat outside today, they have a large and covered outdoor area. We were greeted by a very friendly smile and welcome, our waitress was in a great upbeat mood. She was very helpful when we needed advice on how to eat some of the foods we had never eaten before. Speaking of foods we have not eaten before, they were aplenty. We started with the happy hour dozen oysters (one of the things we have had before) for $18. What a great deal!! Moved onto the snails in Coconut sauce, sweet and savory and a great try for is. We have eaten and love escargot so we figured to try these little guys out instead. They were so yummy that we will now explore more snail options in the future. They had a lot to choose from. We also had the squid appetizer that comes with cooking scissors to easily serve this typically rubbery dish. To our surprise it was actually soft and tasty. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes!! It also looks like they are set up for some live music too, so check the website for entertainment options. Thank you for such an amazing treat, we were so happy to have found this spot.

Lemongrass clams

Really disappointed to write this review. We came when they first opened and really enjoyed the food and service. I remember the owner coming out to talk with us as well. We hadn't visited since then and decided to go back. Came on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy, maybe less than 6 tables. We ordered the garlic shrimp noodles, salt and pepper shrimp, and lemongrass clams. The shrimp in the garlic shrimp noodles was overcooked and way too garlicky. The first time we had it was amazing so was really sad about this. The salt and pepper was a 6/10. Big pieces of shrimp but the seasoning was okay. The lemongrass clams had a decent amount but some clams were sandy and the flavor without the sauce was a little bland. For the price point, we won't be coming back sadly. The service was also slow for not being busy. Our food came out slow between each dish and we had to go up to the counter to pay since no one stopped by to check in.

Great Service but being from New Orleans the food was below my expectations. The seafood can use more flavor on the actual meat.

I certainly hope they got more customers later in the day, because (based on my limited experience) the food, service, and atmosphere are all great. Freda's has been around for about 25 years. Longevity like that is earned. We opted to order from the lunch menu, which has enough choices to suit most people. I got the trout and shrimp ($19), which was nicely plated over seasoned rice and green beans. The lemon/butter/caper sauce was scrumptious. The trout was lightly breaded and crispy, and the shrimp (while slightly overcooked) were very tasty. The green beans were fresh and perfectly cooked. The overall portion size was just right. Before the meal arrived, a wonderful warm homemade cornbread was served with whipped butter. Service was excellent, and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The interior of the restaurant is on the dark side. There's a separate bar area, and outdoor seating is available in better weather. I look forward to my next visit to Freda's!

It was not fishy and well balanced with the fresh citrus base and lightly sweetened. The fresh chips give the bite a perfect crunch. We also got their beet and feta cheese salad, which was on their daily special menu. It was refreshing and love the added bitterness from the arugula. Narrow Street 512 serves up Authentic Korean food with a personal touch. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your Aunt's home in Korea. I experienced Narrow Street as a solo diner. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. You can dine solo or go in a big group as there is plenty of seating at the Hmart Food court. You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to alert you to go pick up your trays of food. The Korean ladies who work there are super friendly and will help you make your menu selection if you have any questions. I've been a dedicated regular since 2023. I'm certain I would have dozed off in one if we weren't called up. We sat outdoor alongside several other families with kids. The music wasn't super loud and the tables were generously spaced so we weren't close enough for other peoples' conversations to distract from our own. We then ordered the following: Smoked Fish Dip Maine Crab Cakes Brussels Sprouts Fish Sandwich Lobster Grilled Cheese Lobster Pot Pie The smoked fish dip was good but nothing crazy. My sister had suggested the fried calamari instead, but my love of bread overrode my familial devotion. The dip itself was moist with no excess liquid and spread easily onto the provided cuts of sourdough toast. My only critique is that the dip seems like it's missing something, but I'm not food-smart enough to know what. However, because of my bread bias, this is still a 4/5. The crab cakes on the other hand were amazing. There was no excess oil soaking the fried crust and the crab meat inside wasn't over-salted, as I've come to expect from most crab cakes. These were highly enjoyable with bites of avocado and mandarin in between to balance the fried elements. 4.5/5 The Brussels sprouts were well-roasted, with a nice vinaigrette coating their crispy outsides. I expect this level of quality for Brussels sprouts from American restaurants at this point, so no surprises, just good in general. 4/5 Skipping the fish sandwich as unfortunately I didn't get to try them, but it looked and smelled great. I had one bite of the lobster grilled cheese, so take this particular review with a grain of salt. The smokiness of the cheeses sits on top of everything else without overpowering, while the lobster, bacon, and tomatoes provide a great mix of fat and brine. This is a lowbrow surf and turf between bread, and it's perfect. 5/5 Finally, we come to my own order, the lobster pot pie. Unfortunately, I shared this with the aforementioned sister and didn't get the full experience. The dish came piping hot and fresh, and the puff pastry was flaky and not overbaked. Internals-wise, I could see myself eating just the cream sauce like a chowder. It was perfectly flavored with veggies and herbs, with regular chunks of lobster. Not too salty and absolutely decadent, would not share again. 5/5 Overall, this was a highly enjoyable experience with fast, not rushed, service and an amazing spread. This is an easy recommendation for a family-friendly restaurant with lowkey vibes, and I'll forsure visit again when I'm back in town.

We arrived around 7:40p Saturday evening and this spot is bumpin busy and very lively. The outdoor patio was even packed. We were so lucky as a walk-in party of 2, a table was being cleaned so we were able to be seated quickly. Our server brought us each a tablet to order our food. I ordered the cucumber salad and general tso chicken with fried rice. My man ordered 2 lbs of live mala style crawfish $18 per pound (min 2# per order) with 5 shrimp. He also ordered the sesame chicken dish. Our food came out within 10 minutes, super fast. The crawfish took a little bit longer because I believe they make it fresh. Here's where it gets interesting. My man said his mouth was tingling and his tongue felt funny and when he took a drink of his tea it tasted super weird. Come to find out, the crawfish mala sauce has Szechuan peppercorn which has a numbing tingling effect to your tongue and mouth. We did not know this before we ordered. So He thought he was having an allergic reaction to something. We asked our server and she explained a traditional mala seasoning. I highly recommend that this is listed on the menu item as a forewarning to those that have never had the Mala live crawfish here before. Sadly, there were a lot of crawfish wasted tonight because He wasn't able to eat them all That seasoning just did not agree with his mouth or taste buds at all. :( But....The general tso and sesame chicken dishes were tasty! Another call out, We both ordered ice tea at the beginning and it came out pretty quickly, But no one returned to our table during our time here to offer refills or to check in on us after everything was delivered. I understand the restaurant was busy when we arrived but it slowed down while we were there. We may return to this location if we are in the area to try other dishes but unfortunately, he is unable to eat the live crawfish due to that one seasoning. Everyone was super friendly and I recommend trying the restaurant if you haven't before it.
