Came here to celebrate a birthday! Made reservations for a large party. Upon entry, we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and helpful with good follow through. Place is open, bright with ocean decor. We started with the raw oysters and hush puppies. Then we ordered fish tacos, fish and chips, steak and a burger. Everything was good. Not sure why the hush puppies came with sweet and sour duck sauce but it worked. Overall, it was good eats in the Domain!

Had the best happy hour experience at Plank! We stopped by during their daily happy hour (every day 3-6 PM- such a great deal!) and were blown away by everything we tried. We started with the ahi tuna wonton that was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, followed by the fresh ceviche and the beet salad, all of which were delicious and felt so fresh. The seafood really shines here. The cocktails were equally impressive- creative, refreshing, and expertly mixed. Great for sipping while you enjoy the coastal-inspired vibes of the space. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with friends or unwinding after work. Highly recommend for happy hour or a casual dinner, we'll definitely be back to sample more off their menu!

Let's start with parking. It's all free and there's parking in the street or you can choose the pink garage just a short walk away. I knew I was coming here the day before with a group of 12 people which gave me plenty of time to scan through over 100 of the most current reviews. Plenty of folks raving about their experience here, but we all like to know where they fall short as well. Most of the yelpers here enjoy this place, but there are instances where service lacks, especially at the bar and either the food is too bland or salty. The crab cakes are small for the money, the oysters don't appear to be local and one reviewer compared it to an overpriced Red Lobster. Since this is a group setting, I should point out that they do have a room at the back which has a maximum occupancy of 19. They even put together a personalized menu for our group. The apps were good, the biniet style hush puppies paired with bacon jam were the best as were the brussell sprouts. The main course choices were mixed. The flat iron steaks were unevenly cooked, raw at one end well done at the other. The side of fries were boring in desperate need of ketchup. The salmon was cooked perfectly and flakey ( best not to order steak at a seafood restaurant). Our desserts came out a lot later than expected, and they were prepacked to go. Overall, the service was slow paced which we expected and the food for the most part was good and a step above Red Lobster. It's a place I'd come back to try again. 8 informative photos included.

We were up from San Antonio and decided to give this Domain eatery a try. We were absolutely thrilled! Our server, Esmeralda (Esme), was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaged without being intrusive. Great recommendations! The food was amazing...my flat iron steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The salmon was flaky and flavorful. The oysters were fresh and delicious... briny goodness. I highly recommend. Cheers!

WHAT IN THE WORLD??! Plank has been on my must-try list ever since I saw the signage being put up. If I could eat seafood for every meal, I absolutely would! I wasn't sure what to expect--maybe something closer to a seafood boil--but after finally stopping by and giving it a try, I was even more delighted than expected!! My partner & I sampled a variety of sushi and shareables, and NOT A SINGLE DISH MISSED. What to order / tried & true: * Maryland-Style Crab Dip - delicious, so creamy, loved the fresh sourdough included!!!! * Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice Cakes - flavors, A+ * Yellowtail Sashimi - SO FRESH & tastefully cut/made * Yellowtail Serrano Roll - NO NOTES, refreshing * Sake Ceviche Maki I'm definitely coming back for their happy hour from 3-6 p.m. as they offer $1.50 East Coast oysters!!!

Popped in for a drink and light bite. The bar was full, well single seats between peeps so no 2 seats together. So got sat at a high top in the bar area. Stratton our person was great. Got an old fashion and espresso martini along with the Brussel sprouts. Drinks came out quickly and the Brussel sprouts took a long time. It was their happy hour - Costal Hour - time so it was busy with peeps ordering the $1 oysters. If I ate raw oysters this would be a deal! Restrooms were nice and clean. Overall enjoyed the time and I'd like to go back to try other items on the menu.

I really enjoyed my experience at this wonderful restaurant located in the Domain. Very clean restaurant with wonderful staff. Every so often a server would come by and check on my guest and I. I ordered the California roll sushi. Of course it was delicious. I'm a bit new to sushi so I'm glad I ordered something I would want to keep coming back to order. My friend had the redfish which I had a bite of and ooweee! The flavor was on point. I am considering ordering that my next time around. Again great food great staff and nice location. I will definitely be returning!

Austin definitely isn't a seafood destination, but this place did right by this east-coaster! We had a late dinner and patrons were pretty sparse when we came in. The decor is actually really nice. They have a huge boat frame hanging from the ceiling. I talked about it with the waiter and it may actually be foam, despite it looking just like wood. The crab dip was excellent. It's such a small detail, but I love those they sliced the lemons. It's so smart and you'll know what I mean when you go. I ordered the grilled salmon. It's so easy to overcook salmon, but it was about as perfect as you can cook it-- moist and flaky. The mushroom risotto was perfect. We also had just got married and they gave us some champagne to celebrate, so that was super nice as well. We'll be coming back for sure.

Yum! The curry clam chowder is a must! Nice sized chunks of potatoes, lots of clams and bacon....with the most delicious, lightly curried broth/chowder. I had the blackened catfish which was cooked to perfection! My hubby had the beet salad and added salmon and it was also cooked perfectly. If you're shopping at the domain it's a must or even if you live in Austin. Great food and our server Gladys was awesome!!!

I had lunch here today. It was a great patio spot. Service was great. The margarita was Devine. Food: fish tacos ...you could order blackened, grilled or fried. I had blackened. Slaw was creamy but it needed more sauce tbh. And more spice. Like a tomatillo Jalapeño crema. It was a tad on the bland/dry side. But the fries were good. Seafood platter was to due. Shrimp was tasty. Oysters were good (as per the other ladies at our table) and ceviche had a little kick and was very refreshing. Next time I'll have to try the sushi. Also I tried to order thr ahi tuna plate...which despite being a main pic on their Google page is no longer on the menu...so sad. Ahi tuna is my favorite so this would be a great item to being bk.

They have $1 oysters, delicious drinks, and even better service. It's the perfect way to unwind and recharge. Kate was our server and even tho she was busy. She tried her best to check in. Frank, the manger was excellent! He was super nice and helpful!

Austin-Welllll, darn! We wanted to try lunch here, but decided to have drinks instead. We had an appointment and we weren't sure that we would make it in time. The bartender was amazing as well as the delicious drinks! We will positively be back to try the food.

What time does the Lunch Menu end? and do they do the Lunch Menu 7 Days a week?

    Vegan or glutton free?

Don't know about vegan (except that the vegans they serve are delicious), but Plank does have a gluten free menu, and there are several good options. (We had a GF member in our party the other day.)

Good for a romantic dinner? How is the lighting?

A little loud but excellent service so i say yes.

It's crawfish season (my favorite season), so it was time to revisit The Boat. I'll let the crawfish slide since it's early in the season, but the redfish? Overcooked, dry, and honestly should never have been served. The most flavorful thing on the table was the green beans that came with it. And the price? $26 for that sad little piece of fish. $26.00. I'm guessing the Domain-adjacent location is why the pricing is so outrageous, because the quality sure doesn't match it. Service was basically nonexistent -- having to go to the bar to grab my own beer is a real turn-off when I'm sitting in a dining room paying sit-down prices. This restaurant is understaffed, overly full of itself, and I've had my last meal here. I'll stick with places like Shoal Creek Saloon and Deckhands -- places that still know how to serve good food at reasonable prices.

You would think the experience might recover from there, but somehow it managed to drift even further off course. After finally being seated, we sat for nearly 20 minutes before any server introduced themselves or acknowledged the table. No greeting. No water. No sense of urgency. Just silence. For a restaurant positioning itself as an upscale steakhouse, the service felt astonishingly disorganized and indifferent. When you're spending close to $300 on dinner, you expect attentiveness, professionalism, and at minimum the feeling that your presence matters. Instead, it felt like we were left to manage the evening ourselves. Honestly, I've had more attentive service at a drive-thru. The food may be good, but service sets the tone for the entire experience -- and this one completely deflated the atmosphere before dinner even began

All while walking right passed our table multiple times. I kept looking around and we were about to walk out when Mark, another waiter, stopped to check in on us. He apologized about the wait. He said Ashley was our waitress but he would get our drink order started. I thanked him and told him we were actually ready to order. He then asked what we would like. We placed our drink order and food order. Mark was very friendly and professional. He said his tables were elsewhere but he would be taking over our table too. I was glad to hear. I'm not sure if this was a miscommunication issue or what but it seemed that everyone nearby knew we were at Ashley's table but Ashley herself. Interestingly enough, after the 3 tables near us cleared out, so did Ashley. We didn't see her again. Kudos to Mark!! He was observant and noticed we hadn't been helped and jumped right in. If it wasn't for Mark we were going to walk out and dine elsewhere. A manager even stopped by to apologize. He heard what happened and offered us a free dessert. He checked in against later to see how things were. Mark and the manager are a 10/10. The food was just okay. A bit over priced for the quality and portion. The bread was dry. 7/10 The Ceasar salad was so good! 10/10
