I love that the daily happy hour is all the way up to 6:30 pm. We came for a early lunch and got some small plates and sushi. The Mango Crab Rangoons ($6.75), Roja Roll ($10.75), and Lion King Roll ($8.75) are all solid! Yellowtail Serrano Sashimi ($11.5) was also good but I'd say go for the sushi for the most bang for you buck. The sushi is not the highest quality but it's for sure delicious and fresh.

Really nice sushi place with tons of options both authentic and vegetarian and vegan. They had great choices for kids as well. This place is great as a romantic spot given the beautiful ambience or for families or for groups - very versatile restaurant with awesome bar menu and delicious sushi.

You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. The crab rangoon is a must have. The sauce is very addicting. My personal favorite is Tataki Maki and San Marcos Maki. Tataki Maki has a very good searing/smoky flavor that goes very well with the sweet and savory sauce. San Marcos Maki has a really nice kick to it with the perfectly charred jalapeños on top.

Great service but thats really about it. Faux-club music and faux-Japanese ambiance, nothing is remotely authentic. Fish portions are insanely stingy--see some of the pics of the rolls below.

Ambiance 5/5: pretty large restaurant with plenty of seating. Food: 5/5: Their roles are delicious. So many great options in their happy hour menu. Drinks: 4/5: we got the margaritas, which were good. Need to try their other drinks. Service: 5/5: Our waiter was nice and made great recommendations. One thing I liked about Blue was their happy hour. Not only are the prices great, but the happy hour extended hours make it way more accessible than other places. Cant wait to come back.

Always a good time for Happy Hour at Blue Sushi Sake! I was there with a friend last week and Bri was our server. She was really helpful and guided us to the best options for us on the Happy Hour menu. My friend and I enjoyed many dishes and a few cocktails. We sat "outside" in the fully covered/enclosed patio. They had changed a few things and now had a separate HH menu that seemed easier to decipher than the last time I was there. I made a reservation as it gets busy. We were quickly seated and asked for a different location which they accommodated. I'm sure I'll be back here again in 2026!

Wow! Phenomenal sushi. I decided to be vegan for this lunch and I was quite impressed with the food. First of all they have a huge selection of vegetarian/vegan sushi to try from, so it was honestly hard to make a decision on what to try. I think thr rolls that I ordered were : Philadelphia Creamcheese salmon vegan roll Thai hippie Crunch cabbage And one other one I dont remember what it was called but it had little sesame chunks on the outside of it. All of them were a 10/10. Service was also great, our waiter was very nice. Definitely will be coming back!

wish I could fully capture how great the experience was that my friend and I had here. From the moment you walk in, the decor sets the tone, upscale yet welcoming, and it really carries through to the food. We also lucked out by arriving during happy hour, and the deals were excellent. I highly recommend trying the Vegan Cowgirl, it was absolutely fantastic. Our waiter was also a great host and made the experience even better. I'm already looking forward to coming back!!!

So we came here for happy hour and a Sunday since they have it all day. They had a good selection for happy hour. The service there was very nice. Our waitress was very sweet and the hostess was quick to see us. The only reason I'm giving this place four stars is because it was mediocre to me. I've had better sushi, other places, and the only reason I say that is because these rolls were tasting very fishy to me and to me good fish does not taste fishy. The crab puffs were ordinary and nothing great. The cucumbers, pine mono I can't say I really did enjoy it since I love that stuff. It just needed a little bit of Ponzo in it. I will say the spicy tuna on top of the crispy. Rice was really yummy. I can't remember the names of the sushi rolls we got but I know two of them did not have fish it just had seafood in general and they still tasted fishy to me, which was odd. The place is big and it looks just like the original place that was there which is also sushi. Not sure I would come back, but it does offer a good happy hour.

Obsessed with this place. They have a full, intricate vegan sushi menu (in addition to a full selection of fish rolls), which I've now tried about 6 rolls from, and they are all amazing. It's so refreshing to find a sushi place that puts as much effort into their veg food as they do other food. The Prince Roll has eggplant tempura and avocado and is to die for. I usually avoid rolls without avocado, but Blue Sushi's Eden Roll has edamame hummus that makes up for the lack of avo. Reasonable prices, and they get more reasonable during happy hour (which is all day on Sundays, in addition to other times during the week). Happy hour includes lots of the sushi rolls and apps.

They've added quite a few new vegan rolls to the offering and yet everything seemed to have less flavor, less crunch, less satisfaction. I ordered my favorite green goddess. We also tried Eden - which was bland and not even crispy despite being a tempura filling. The VLT fell flat is terms of flavor or crunch. The veggie roll was a surprise winner. Service was excellent and ambiance is spacious, cool, and inviting.

Went in for dinner with my friend and the experience was good. We just did a walk in and were able to get a place pretty quick ! Beautiful looking restaurant with cool décor! Ordered a bunch of vegan sushi and loved most of them. Service was quick and attentive . Our server suggested some options and they were great ! Must say the menu had great options for everyone and a good variety selection for vegetarian and vegans as well .. The huge Godzilla mural on the wall is a highlight ! Overall a great place to grab sushi on a causal night or a great place for a date night ! Recommend !

Had a great first visit to Blue Sushi. It was easy to get a spot just as happy hour was ending and sad I missed it! The staff were very friendly and explained the menu and how service worked. It was still busy enough that it wasn't quiet. We ordered several different items and they were brought out as completed. My favorite was the beef hot stone, because how cool is it to have the stone in front of you and still very tasty. I think this is a great place for friends or a date night. I can't wait to return.

Drinks are expensive and served in what feels like miniature target brand, low-quality glasses, which makes the value proposition hard to justify the steep $14 price. The atmosphere is where it really falls apart. The space is set up like a bright, casual brunch hall rather than a cocktail bar--harsh, bright lighting, uncomfortable wooden chairs, and basic wooden square tables that don't align with the concept AT ALL. There's no food offering, yet the environment feels designed for daytime dining rather than an evening bar experience. From a design and hospitality standpoint, it's difficult to understand how this made it to opening in its current state. Even a VERY basic understanding of lighting and ambiance would suggest this setup is fundamentally mismatched--ESPECIALLY for something like a date night. If you're looking for a comfortable or intimate setting, this is NOT it. You'd honestly have a better experience sitting outside a gas station with a 6-pack of Coors Light.

I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. As for the salmon, it wasn't overly seasoned and was incredibly flaky. It was a good size as well. For breakfast, The Breakfast Plate's eggs were cooked perfectly with appropriately cooked bacon. I enjoyed the potatoes that accompanied it as well. The Buttermilk Pancakes meal was a failure though. The pancakes were gooey inside. My server, Amy, offered to have them remade, but I declined the offer. So I accepted a parfait, which was easily one of the best I've had in Austin. The granola with the berries were perfectly balanced, and the granola wasn't super chunky. Amy was 100% invested in my meal satisfaction. The dining room is quite pretty with lovely set tables. Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks: Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable.
