Food is always consistent and big portions. I always order general tso and noodles and they're always great. I tried the dumplings and they were ok. What I would think of when I think of delivery or easy take out. Have ordered delivery a few times and the time, freshness and delivery is great. The delivery drivers are always nice and prices are great even if you get delivery. Can't say I've eaten at the restaurant, but only cause this is my lazy meal of choice. read more

Sound the alarms! Alert the fighters! This place for sure, is on fire!!!!! I ordered over the phone 30 minutes before closing time and was definitely expecting to get cussed out..... that did not happen!! Upon entry the shop keeper actually look happy to see me, maybe so she could finally go home, as I was the last idiot to order that late. But my delulu self thought it was because she was genuinely just happy to see me and she truly loves her job. Whichever reason be true, she was friendly and warm. We even had a whole plant lovers conversation about the two potted orchids at the front door. No rush! No worries! And no cussing for calling so close to close. Sounds like Grade AA customer service to me! Unlike most types of cuisine, with Chinese, I feel like the dirtier the establishment, the better the food. Super China proved this theory wrong. The restaurant is bright, simple, and extremely clean from what I could see. I ordered my food to go so I can't tell yu if the tables or clean and the menus aren't sticky. But everything I touched was spotless! Which can not be said for every quick order take out food spot, that's for sure. The food was phenomenal!!! Most places put carrots and peas in their fried rice, in the south, but I'm used to Ben sprouts, spring onion, and scrambled eggy bits. I asked to add bean sprouts and eggs and I didn't get cussed out y'all! That has got to be a record. the egg foo young patties were sumptuous and thick, perfectly textured, and seasoned. Even without the brown sauce the Pattie's themselves tasted so good. So once I added my custom order fried rice, and topped with the juicy chicken patties, all that was left was garnishing. The brown sauce that came with the order was in a lot smaller of a container than I would have expected but it was so viscous and concentrated that a little went a LONG WAY!!! I added chopped onion and cilantro just to be boujie and add some more color to the plate, bu it was totally unnecessary flavor wise because this dish held it down, on its own. Everything was so good, I had to stop myself from getting seconds, especially that late at night. However, and much tiny surprise, everything reheated really well the next day and didn't lose its texture or taste! I just moved to Austin from Dallas from chicago. And when I tell you good Chinese food is hard to come by, GOOD CHINESE IS HARD TO COME BY!!!!! Super China you all did the thang!! read more

First time customer and we thought it was very good. the Food was very good I had the Jalapeno Chicken with Fried Rice and Wonton Soup very good and Dad ordered the Chicken Vegetables with Fried Rice and Wonton Soup is was very good as well the wonton Soup comes with a authentic Chinese Spoon the Eggrolls on our plate that came with the meal was very good. the ambiance was nice had some nice pictures on the wall pretty small restaurant but was very good. the Price was reasonable as you can get for Asian Food the Lunch Special starts at 10.75 I am sure we will be back read more

We were in Austin last weekend and tried to go to one of our favorite Chinese restaurants. Unfortunately due to Covid they had closed their doors. Since we were in the mood for chinese we searched for another option near us. The reviews were mixed so we were skeptical but decided to give it a chance and were pleasantly surprised. My wife ordered their chicken and vegetables, I had their Kung Pao chicken and sweet and sour chicken lunch special. My wife's meal came with wonton soup. It was very good although it didn't have the traditional flavor you would think. They egg rolls were very good, not the best I've ever had but definitely better than most! The main dishes were better than we expected! There was plenty of food and it was fresh and very tasty! The only criticism I have is the Kung Pao could of been a little spicier but I didn't request it extra spicy. Overall we were VERY happy with our experience. We were at a nearby shopping plaza when we stumbled across Super China on the drive back home. My first impression was how good their egg rolls were! Perfectly flaky and not overly greasy, you can tell they don't use the same generic frozen stuff other places do. Lunch specials are a good deal and come in large portions, leaving enough leftovers for another whole meal. The kung pao chicken is not over-sauced or spicy beyond a reasonable limit, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. So, for the record the only reason I am not giving this restaurant a 5 star review is because I have no means to measure my dining experience. The humble restaurant is in a small shopping center iff Duval and 183. It's dark but if you can find it it's well worth it! Also they are open till 10:00 on weekdays and 11:00on the weekends! Appetizers: They're all gooooood! My favorite is the shrimp toast, and the crab Rangoon. The vegetable dumpling is also quite lovely. I love the egg drop soup. Hot and sour soup is great and is not too overpowered by raw vegetables like other restaurants. The lo mein is good (some may say bland) but I think playing it age with today's particular diners is smart. All the chicken and seafood dishes are good. Just very consistent and dependably good.however the grand prize for the most satisfying dish goes to...... Pork Egg Foo Young. It is very difficult to make the perfect foo young that doesn't feel like a bunch of left overs scrambles with eggs. Which is what I think most other Chinese restaurants do. This egg foo young is delicate fluffy and has amazing balanced sauce to accompany it. In all of Austin, this is the Best Egg Foo Young. This is my first time ordering from here. The only reason I heard about them is because they sent a flyer to my place. It was so simple to just call in and make my order. By the time I got to the place to pick up my order they had it hot and ready. It was a nice touch how they bagged their food. I ordered two lunch specials and the food was delicious, fresh, and portions were generous (enough for 2 meals). Lunch special included a soup and eggroll. The food is excellent and delivery is fast. The menu is vast. The customer service sucks though. They got my order wrong twice in a row. They just say, "oh ok. Come back up here to get the right order today or tomorrow." That's not always as easy as jumping in the car for a trip around the corner. Anyway, they don't care about making it right. I think they should do better to make their mistakes worth my time whether that's delivery, a discount or offer an appetizer for the inconvenience. They're just greedy business people. read more

I have eaten about 4 bites of general Tso chicken? Does not look like or taste like chicken. Ordered spicy... Not even as spicy as a bell pepper. The egg roll is soggy. The fried rice is ONLY rice... No bits of veggies. I only ordered this because I am at work, sick and wanted soup. The neon yellow egg drop isn't terrible, but it certainly isn't good either. Usually I try to pawn off food on coworkers so I don't waste, but I may die seeing as I just pulled a bit of BONE out of my mouth. This box will be going in the trash. Almost got delivery, but didnt want to spend $20 on lunch. Also, my "chicken" looks like it has red food coloring saturated syrup on it... It hardly even looks like sauce. I'm not one to worry about cleanliness when I order Chinese food but I have puked things that look better than this. F*you super china and your 4 star rating on google. Decided to stop in and try them out this evening. Tried them a few times a couple of years ago and they were pretty good. When I first walked in I noticed one of the owners had their dog in the dining room, struck me as odd. Most restaurants I've been to would not allow that unless it's a service dog. Still proceeded to order and upon receiving my order, the lady asked me if I had paid, duh!, I paid and was sitting at the table for ten minutes waiting on my order. she was rude too. Well tonight they were not so great. Fried rice was ok, crab rangoon was terrible, they were under cooked and the cream cheese tasted spoiled. To say the least I am returning for a refund on my two orders of crab Rangoon and will never eat at this establishment again. Upon arrival the owner wanted to give us two new orders of Rangoon but I preferred a refund. She was not cooperative and was very reluctant to give me a refund. She said " we are losing money", what a b**ch, did not take into consideration that I had to drive back to their restaurant and waste my time and money. Won't eat here again. read more

One of the things I particularly appreciate is that the Chinese restaurants deliver themselves. I've had various experiences with food delivery apps and I just really like it when Chinese restaurants deliver their own food.... cuts out the middleman! Since then I have been back about 5 times and have gotten food for my wife as well. We both like it a lot. Good quality and portions for the price. Tastes great! Ok, you can see from my other posts, that they are generally all positive. That being said, this one is only meh. I only ordered here because my regular place closed early. The crab puffs were over-fried and seriously under filled. The triple crown description stated it was supposed to be "hot and spicy" and it definitely was not. Found a pamphlet on my door for this place and decided to order it for me and my family, here's what we got: Orange-flavored chicken, combination lo mein, biscuits, spring roll, and egg rolls. They then through in a free order of crab puffs and one extra egg roll. Customer service wasn't bad, but wasn't amazing either, the lady on the phone said should arrive within 45 minutes to an hour, the order took a little over an hour to deliver. Now to the food, the crab puffs were definitely old. The egg rolls tasted like they soaked up other flavors from being in the freezer or fridge for far too long and the orange flavored chicken is actually general tso's chicken. The lo mein wasn't all too bad but everything just didn't hit the spot or taste right. I'm giving them 2 stars because the foods edible and my girlfriend told me to give them one extra star. read more

Alright well it's been a few years since my last review. We moved away from the area and then back again. Unfortunately, we tried literally every other Chinese place when we moved back to this area and everyone's food was not good. So we tried super China again. It was good enough. We ordered a few times. I let my anger go from years passed. Then July 31, 2015 happened. After 1 hour and 33 minutes of waiting our food has yet to arrive. We were quoted 45 minutes to an hour delivery time. I called three times and spoke to the owner, she kept telling me how busy they are (no crap, it's a Chinese food restaurant and it's Friday night) and how they have four drivers. I told her I didn't care and that we were starving and just wanted our food. She yelled at me, told me to be patient, hung up on me a few times. Their customer service is terrible. We are now eating hot dogs and rice and I am literally on the phone with my bank right now canceling the charge. Shame on your super China for not giving a crap about your customers. read more
