I really enjoyed my time at Juicy Claws and have been to the restaurant multiple times since then. Walking in, the restaurant is decorated with beautiful murals and seems to have a fantastic patio, which I can't wait to eat on once the weather is better. I would definitely recommend the grilled jumbo squid, shrimp satay, and grilled cuttlefish (basically anything that comes with the house green sauce...I could drink the stuff ). The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly. The texture of the seafood was fantastic and neither the squid nor cuttlefish felt rubbery. The fried fish was honestly some of the best I've had in my entire life and I have had a LOT of fried fish in my life. The coating was nice, crisp, and thin enough to truly let the fish shine. Same goes for the fried oysters! I've never had fried oysters that had such a perfect texture and either wasn't too wet or too shriveled up. It was perfect! The wings were also fantastic. I would definitely recommend the lemon pepper, but am also in the process of tasting all the other flavors. The seafood combo fried rice might've been a some of the best fried rice I've ever had and was always just as good the next day when I took some home to eat as leftovers. I had boiled combo #5 and enjoyed it with the garlic butter at medium spice. The garlic butter was phenomenal and had nice chunks of minced garlic. They also have a good selection of bubble teas! I was a little skeptical about bubble tea at a seafood, but gave it a try and WOW. The Thai tea and Taro were amazing, but my favorites have been the jasmine green tea milk tea and the fruit teas. You can really taste how fragrant the tea they use is. I always make sure to order one whenever I have gotten take out from this place. This place knows that it's neither totally Cajun nor Vietnamese, but their combination of the two works perfectly. We were among the first customers and were seated promptly and others soon began arriving. The space is large, and we suspect that it used to be a Jason's Deli, but they have definitely transformed the interior with a clever and interesting seafood themed decor. Tommy was our server and was helpful from the start. The menu offers a wide variety of seafood options, but we decided to order the garlic shrimp noodles, the salt and pepper shrimp, egg fried rice and two Mexican Martinis. Tommy told us that he was new, so I admired how much time he spent making sure our cocktails were properly made, which they were. I heard the bell ring from the kitchen and noticed the steam coming from our fried rice. Because of how few ingredients it has it's hard to get right, but it was light, fluffy and perfectly seasoned. The S&P shrimp were also seasoned and were plump, fresh and perfectly crispy. Edwyn loved the noodles, but I wasn't a fan of the texture. The service was great, and because the portions were so generous, we had to ask for a box to go. But the best thing, hands down the BEST fried dumplings I have ever had. I didn't care for the Tom Yum soup but my husband ate it, it was too sweet for me, I like it spicy. What needs a bit of improvement is the timing of the food delivery as we were waiting on the bowl of soup for a very long time, nothing came out together...but I do know for most of it like the Dumplings they were making them fresh so I wasn't too unhappy! Gotta say it was really good! I had shrimp po-boy with seasoned fries and a cup of gumbo. Gumbo was excellent (dark roux and full of shrimp and fish, veggies, no rice!). Other folks had crawfish fried rice, delish! Fried oyster platter with Cajun fries, and chicken garlic noodles. Bit pricey for lunch (no specials), but fresh, tasty seafood. Very tasty. Nice new restaurant near the Anderson Mill area. I ordered one pound. They have a 10% soft opening special. I order hot with Louisiana and garlic mix. The crawfish were a nice decent size and decent amount. It doesn't come with a lot of juice. So if you enjoy sucking the head not much flavor. Some of the crawfish were not hot. Not sure how it's prepared but I believe everything is thrown into the bag. Hot seems to come with a seasoning for the spicy or maybe that the Louisiana flavor. I've been here a few times now. And I have to say the wings here are sooo good. I get the butter garlic flavor. Also had the pasta, and sandwich. Sandwich a little dray but the flavor made up for that. The owner was kind and friendly too. Recognized me on my 3rd visit too. Something I did. I was very impressed with the service in this restaurant, super fast, friendly and caring. The waitress literally came and check on us every few minutes, filled the water and asked if we would need anything. The food was pretty delicious. The crawfish was full of flavor, lots of garlic (I love the taste of it), the clams was perfectly cooked, and chicken wings was crunchy outside, juicy inside, garlic shrimp noodle was flavorful. I was recommended this place by a friend who lives in Austin and decided to stop by while visiting college. And i must say, this had to have been the best decision of the week for me! I was with a buddy and we tried the COMBO #1: a 39$ Seafood boil (crawfish, crab, shrimp, some extras). It was absolutely delectable with plenty of sauce and unique seasoning, definitely in contention for one of the best seaboils I've ever had! Also, for the surprisingly low price, it was a very generous portion Furthermore, we tried the SEAFOOD FRIED RICE (24$). As someone who regularly eats fried rice, I'm very picky about how fried rice should be done. I was worried I would be disappointed by yet another restaurant, yet this was perfectly seasoned, aromatic and savory while the shrimp was tender for sure. A delightful surprise! The portions were filling as well (especially for the price). My buddy and I left full and satiated with to-go boxes to go! Furthermore, I'd like to do a special shoutout to my server Lynn (or maybe Lin? Sorry if i get it wrong!). She was very nice and energetic; she got our orders out quickly and came by often to checkup on us. Who decided to switch jason deli with this not juicy claw. Worst experience I have ever had. I'm a sever and understand customer and the restaurant business. Never ever would work for a owner who insured their customers. I got the combo #1 Hot. Literally y'all no spice or flavor. The shrimp had to be frozen shrimp bc it was very hard and chewy. I talked to my server very nicely and explained how I did not like what I was served. She came back with her managers the guy owner literally said he ate off my plate I sent back and nothing was wrong with it!! THAT NASTY and Unsanitary. My crab claw was missing 2 legs when served to me I ate one that barley had any meat. The girl owner as she was walking away said " you ate most the crab" most the crab was missing before I even open the bag. Also my boil came out in 5mins!! Awful customer service! Owner and server were extremely rude. My sister was extremely polite and told them the seafood boil (crab legs, crawfish, shrimp) were not good and she would like to send them back. The owner instead of apologizing and replacing the meal with something else, he accused her of just wanting to send the meal back because she ate most of the meal which she did not. Absolutely delicious and charmingly unique. Everything we ate was amazing. The ginger squid was huge but every bite was gone in a second. The Sweet Chili wings are worth the drive and the prices are surprisingly affordable. Our server Janaya was nice and attentive and the Happy Hour pitchers are only $12. Decided on boil #1 with added mussels and mushrooms. Boil #1 contained a crab claw, 1/2 lbs. shrimp, 1lbs. crawfish, and 1 potato, 1 corn. They ran out of corn.... Still my husband and I were thinking that the food was enough. As soon as we ordered, I went to the restroom and by the time I got back the boil was on the table. We thought that was odd but we were hungry so we dug in. I asked for a side of clarified butter. What I got was gelatinous country crock. I should've taken pics but I could turn the cup upside down and it would've budged. The boils was dry so I scraped the bottom for any juice The waiter came back and long story short he forgot about our oysters and calamari. $75 for one boil and now we're at CFA. Within 1 hour. We ate there and were home in time to enjoy a CHIK FIL A sandwich. So disappointing.... When you splurge on a boil you expect FLAVOR and unfortunately we wasted money on forgetful service, fast, dry, and expensive food. Hi everyone! I'm not usually the kind of customer to leave a review whether I receive amazing service or not. I just leave an establishment either appreciative or disappointed. However, my first and only dining experience with Juicy Claws today has left me literally sick to my stomach and sadden by the lack of empathy and customer focus this food establishment operates on. I placed an online order for a Seafood boil. They offer the boils in two styles Louisiana style and Garlic Butter style. I chose the Louisiana style mildly spiced seafood boil. I go to pick up my order with no issues. I get home to prepare myself to eat, and ate a piece of shrimp and crawfish to realize it's bland. I figured maybe all the seasoning is at the bottom of the bag. I take another piece of shrimp and made my way to the bottom of the bag to dip the shrimp in the supposedly "Louisiana style seasoning", just to realize it's just the seafood submerged in melted butter. I call the establishment to inform them I didn't receive the correct order in hopes of resolving the issue, due to the value and quality of the meal not matching up. We agree for me to drive back in exchange for a replacement. I get back and speak with the manager who inspects the bag along with a server. The manager then proceeds to tell me the order is correct what is the issue? I informed him the boil is bland, there's no type of seasoning no Cajun, nothing but melted butter. The manager offers me the solution of him taking the boil bag to the back to add some Cajun seasoning as there's no other options. I stated I don't feel comfortable with him taking my bag to the back just to add seasoning, as I could've done that myself. I had the understanding that I would receive a replacement. Next he offered to put some liquid seasoning in a to go container, and I agreed. I get back home for the second time. Start to pour the liquid seasoning in a large bowl to mix with the butter in the boil bag. As I'm pouring the liquid seasoning I noticed a bunch of larvae (maggots) in the liquid seasoning. I make a third trip to the establishment to show them the problem. I let them know there's bugs in the container and they don't believe me. I ask the manager for a utensil to show them the bugs in the container. Instead of being met by empathy and resolution I'm met with insulting body language and I'm assuming insinuation that I did this. Due the manager saying you took it home. What does that even mean? My funds were refunded. However, I hope all future customers are mindful when choosing to eat here. read more

I stumbled on this place looking for fried oyster po-boys. We ordered two, they came with french fries, and we ordered fried calamari. We picked up our order at 4:30, no customers in the restaurant at that time. The oysters were very small, over cooked and had no oyster flavor at all. The calamari is mixed with fried onions, I would guess about a 50% mix. The onions were good but I didn't see that mentioned on the menu. The calamari is strips, not rings but still OK, but not great. My spouse was so turned off she's vowed to never go there for any reason. I think that some of the seafood might be OK but I would not get fried oysters or calamari again. Finally the above order was over $65 with a 15% tip. If you go there I hope you have a better experience than we did. read more

The shrimp with chewy and cold. That's why the food comes out so fast because they don't cook it! I also ordered the crab. It was bland with no flavor! When I told the server that I didn't like the food, she got her manager who explained to me that I was not able to get a refund even though I only took one bite! Do not come here it's overpriced, you get horrible service, and disgusting food. The manager was totally incompetent and extremely rude to us. Wow! Seafood-the favorite. Asian food-love it. Great Asian & seafood all in one restaurant = dining bliss! The gumbo was lovely with a dark roux & well spiced. The pork/shrimp egg roll was, not exaggerating, the best egg roll I've ever eaten. Shrimp with garlic noodles was spot on in flavor & it featured big, beautiful, plump shrimp.
