Classic burger
Mariana G.

I got the classic burger, a cheese burger that comes with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, jalapeños, ketchup, mustard and mayo (which I customized to remove the mustard and the pickles). It was delicious and I devoured it. I also got two churros for dessert. I think they were supposed to come with chocolate or caramel dipping sauce, but even without the sauce these churros were delectable. The sweet and crispy exterior coated in cinnamon sugar contrasted with the soft interior filled with vanilla bean pastry cream makes for a truly tasty dessert.

This place rocks. Just a food truck, but more than that. They serve some of the tastiest burgers I have ever had. And I only tried their double cheeseburger loaded minus the pickles. It was fantastic. Healthy half pound of beef as expected done right, not too salty, or over cooked. It is a new location on Guadalupe and 37th street just half a block from where I live. I was shopping down the strip and before I passed by I smelled a fantastic mix that made me stop by. Glad I did. Double cheeseburger, fries, loaded fried chicken sandwich for just $24 with nice tip... you can't go wrong. Just hope they stay there.

Our community in San Marcos is having an event and the Downtown Burgers food truck is one of the vendors invited to sell/serve food during the 2-day event. My wife, upon reading about burgers available from a food truck perused their website and made plans to go try their burgers after we played golf in the morning. Not reading the fine print on the announcement, we showed up for burgers at 1:30 PM only to find out the Downtown Burgers food truck wasn't scheduled to be there until 3 PM. Hungry and a bit frustrated, we drove back home where it's nice a cool (low to mid 90s out there) and waited until 3 PM to head back to our community's social hub. The truck arrived late and they experienced issues with power so by the time they were ready to take orders, it was closer to 4 PM and I was HANGRY. I just kept chanting this better be worth it. Once my wife placed our orders (Onion Ring burger for her and La Mananera burger for me...we also ordered onion rings and fries to go with our burgers), the cooks were fairly efficient and we were digging into our burgers in no time, inside an air conditioned building. The burgers were good AND messy...the fries and onion rings were fine. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. Why only 3 stars you ask? I guess the biggest hangup I had was the lack of value...$10 for a burger out of a food truck! That's more expensive than most burgers at Hopdoddy and in my humble opinion not as good as Hopdoddy's. I would rather see the $10 for burgers to include fries or onion rings. Lunch for 2 without drinks came out to $30 with tip.

Red food truck hidden in the back of a parking lot. Good burger, but curious if it's because of all the ingredients on the burger.

Tasty burger and quick service. Almost had to take a bath afterwards...that's how you know it's good.

Located in a rig across the street from the Austin Convention Center in downtown, this is probably a very convenient location to walk to for tourists and out-of-towners. The wait for your food is typically about 10 minutes from when you put in an order. I had walked past this place so many times on my way to other spots in downtown and figured I eventually had to try it. Wanting to give them the best shot, I decided to try their classic 1/4 lb burger. Overall, the burger wasn't bad and will definitely satisfy you if you are hungry and craving a burger. The fries, which were well-peppered, weren't bad either. Overall, it wasn't bad, and works in a pinch, but is a bit overpriced at $10 for a burger and fries.

Best burgers in Austin. The crew from the show swarmed the place and everyone had a great meal. Fried pickles were delicious and the burger was perfect.

I love the proximity yo the conference center as i was attending SXSW Edu. The burger and fries were reasonably priced and hit the spot and allowed for an outside stroll between sessions.

Solid burger spot! Burger was cooked perfectly and had fresh toppings. The fries were hot, crispy and well seasoned. Fast friendly service. Ordered thru grub hub and it was ready right after I arrived. Plenty of outdoor seating and they play good jams.

Downtown Burgers is no bigger than a small shed but, don't be fooled by appearances. This place is a diamond in the ruff! The menu offers burgers and tacos with a wide selection of toppings to choose from. They have outdoor seating -picnic tables and the vibe is super casual and chill it really lets you take in the city. Besides the delicious burgers and fries " I recommend the classic cheese burger" the owners are super nice and helpful. If I visit Austin again, this place is a must for me!

I didn't feel like a burger though so I got the Classic Coney hotdog which is full of Detroit style chili (thick meat chili with no beans), and loaded with red onions and shredded cheddar cheese, then topped with mustard. It was delicious and filling. It Truly was like a dog you'd get at a Coney's in Detroit, MI. IYKYK. Then I heard you had to try the latke here, so I got Bubbe's OG Latkes which is 2 round thick potato pancakes! It came with sour cream and Smutz smoky aoli sauce on the side. I tried it both ways and it was good. But really it was best with that cold creamy sour cream that goes so well with the potato flavor. They also have great drinks which are refillable for free while you dine in. And I love the chill vibe and decor. Great artwork and old photos. Very funky! The lovely woman who helped us during our last visit also gave Zoloft a pup cup, so they've consistently shown kindness to our little family. They even gave complimentary vegan cookies to guests when we arrived (not sure if it was a special promotion, but such a thoughtful touch!). And the ice cream... WOW. There is some picnic bench seating if you care to eat there, but each order is ready to take home You can also find a menu and other information posted on the outside. The menu mostly offers burgers, but there are a couple other offerings like a cheesesteak, partner, etc. The staff were very friendly and precessional. I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren't quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty Some tips: Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive The burgers/entrees don't come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. One order of fries is more than enough for 2 people to share. To do this just make your meal a combo on the ones you want to have fries. Combos also come with a drink, but it's not a fountain drink it's in cans which they also bag for you Cheers!!

This was by far the best meal I've had all week. The cheeseburger was outstanding. The bun was perfect--soft, and held everything together without getting soggy. The meat had incredible flavor, juicy and well-seasoned, and the divine (I'm assuming that's the special sauce or topping?) absolutely blew me away--it took the whole thing to another level. The fries were exactly how I like them: thick-cut, tender, not overly crunchy or crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was spot-on. Service was excellent too--friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. Shoutout to the team for making a conference-weary traveler feel right at home. If you're anywhere near Jimmy's, do yourself a favor and go. I'm already thinking about coming back before I leave town. So well done--thank you! Highly recommend. 10/10 would eat again.

I honestly left feeling a little sad because I used to go there all the time for that exact reason and took a 30 min drive to try it again. On the positive side, the staff is still amazing. The chips were evenly covered with toppings, and it was just enough to get us through until our meals.
