There is a mandatory 20% tip if you spend $10+, but they had the best chicken tacos I've ever had. I liked the atmosphere -- there's a patio in the back, perfect for large groups.

Wednesday 7/24/2024 I made a takeout order to get my food at 4:24 pm but there were complications with whoever was opening and I didn't end up getting my food until 16 min later (around 4:40 pm). After dealing with that inconvenience you would think I'd end up getting something for the extended wait but nope. I got the brisket taco $7 and chicken taco $7: - The chicken taco was flavorful and decent but the meat portion was smaller than expected especially for a $7 taco. - The brisket taco was alright: it had good meat portions for a $7 taco but the flavor & taste were a bit underwhelming. Also the edges of the brisket had a very crispy like texture that was similar to a chip. Overall, the tacos are alright but very expensive. They are NOT worthy of the $7 price tag but more so around $5 range.

I love this place! I usually go to the Cheer Up Charlie's location. I love the smoked brisket tacos, quesadillas and nachos. The balance and proportions of everything are perfect. The flavor is amazing! The people who work there are always friendly. At the location that I normally go to, the chef/taco master Jake is super awesome! There are a ton of taco places to go in Austin. Asador easily exceeds most of them. The smoked brisket takes it over the top too. I super highly recommend!

Pretty solid taco place outside of seven grands! Came here for a friends bday Friday night and drank on an empty stomach. Luckily there's tacos outside to save the day. I got the brisket and lamb barbocoa tacos and they were delicious! A bit on the pricy side but worth the money.

This taco truck/stand was great! We came to Las Perlas for happy hour and ordered the cauliflower taco from the back patio as well as some chips. Super spicy and delicious! The guys making the tacos were so friendly and nice. The space was great inside the bar but the back patio was equally as fun!

Came here on a Thursday night. You have to go through the mezcal bar to get there. The guy who took our order wasn't very friendly and looked like he hated his job. But man were those brisket quesadillas delicious! I would stop by and give them a try if you're in the area. You won't regret it.

Food was hot and had great seasoning, the service was nice and fast, it's very beautiful outside to sit .. it was my first time in Austin and it was worth the stop ! Definitely would have it again Con: the quesadilla was just cheese and tortilla ( which I added my meat from my taco to it lol ) My Husband had the brisket taco and it was good as well !

Nah bro, these tacos different. I'm from Cali, not even the paisas doing it like this. Please whatever you do, order the BRISKET TACOS. I'm addicted This shit to fire It's in the back of the tequila/whiskey spot. Can't miss it

    Where you order

The shrimp taco, and mushroom taco -specials of the day- were both fine. The taco shell was soft and crunchy. Larger than the standard California type of taco. Tip (20%) is automatically included when you pay by card.

The best brisket tacos in Austin. I'm from LA and I know good tacos. These are a must. Their flour tortillas are homemade and insanely good.

The staff were kind and friendly too! I got the special of the week--a gyro taco-- and the fish n chips taco with a side of queso. He got the gyro taco as well and corn elote. The gyro taco was our absolute fave! The queso was so gooey and delicious, and the corn elote was everything too even though it wasn't on the cob. They have tacos, bowls, nachos... a really versatile menu suitable for any hungry person! They also have this velvet cake that I plan to get during my next visit--yes, we will be back!

Some tables could use a cleaning in between guests, but it was fairly clean. You order your food at the counter and they call you when it is ready. I ordered the grilled steak taco, rotisserie chicken taco and special taco of the week (pork dumpling smash taco). We also ordered the elote and queso to share. The elote was good, but very creamy and a bit heavy. The queso was good but tbh I prefer Torchy's. The grilled steak taco was a bit underwhelming, I wanted it to have more flavor, it just tasted like beef and cheese. The chicken had good flavor and the special weekly taco was enjoyable and interesting, not like any taco I have had before. There is plenty of variety for people including those with dietary restrictions. My friends ordered two tacos each and I was full after 3 tacos so if you are not a big eater stick with two.

Like your girl can eat tacos but I had never been one to be like let's go get some cause I am craving them. But man cuantos tacos can definitely get me saying I want and crave them! I thought prices were pretty fair at 2.75 a piece. After much researchon what to eat in Austin this is one of the spots that I saved as a bookmark. While I was in Austin, a foodie friend on Instagram shared with me her list of recommendations since she just moved to Austin not too long ago. I knew that Ihad to stop by Cuantos Tacos, I mean how often do you see a Michelin BibGourmand taco truck. We came here for dinner but it was cold, sprinkling, anddark out. Tables they had were wet from the sprinkle.  My family only triedthe suadero taco ($2.75 per taco) but OMG it was the best thing we ate duringour trip in Austin. It was super memorable, the meat was soft and the salsaadded the perfect kick to it. It's been a month, my husband and I are still daydreamingabout these tacos.  Tacos are madepretty fast, we had to order tacos 3x since they were so good, we kept wantingmore. Wait time was super reasonable. Staff are nice and if I lived closer Ican see myself coming here every taco Tuesday! Tips: Credit card and cash accepted. Outdoor seating option only. Restroom is port a potties. Located in an area with other food trucks.

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk).
