He did a fantastic job explaining the menu and helping with recommendations -Drinks: Boa-loma (not for me, just not a tequila person), El toro -Apps: Wagyu cigars, Hokkaido scallops (a miss for hubby) -Food: 1 Westholme Australian Wagyu per person I added truffle sauce on my steak with a side of truffle mac and cheese. Service and quality of food here is a 10/10! Our server Patrick was awesome and there were other people tending to our table as well. The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake had a lot of difference flavors. The salad on top was fresh and had a vinegrette type dressing and the mayo sauce at the bottom was rich and creamy. These flavors go really well together with the crab cake and the crab itself was good with the crispy crust. The Shrimp Scampi was realllyy good! I love the lemony butter sauce at the bottom and the shrimp was huge! Cooked well and comes peeled! The bread was kind of chewy and tough though. We came here for happy hour for the second time after a while and felt quite a decline in their food quality. Their food is such good value. We ordered the tuna tartare tacos, the Wagyu tacos, the table side Caesar salad, the dinner rolls, the wings and the Wagyu meatball. The quality of the shell in the tacos definitely declined from the last time I tried it. It definitely tasted like it had been fried in oil that hadn't been changed for a while. I also was very excited to have the zero proof user Margarita for the second time, but unfortunately, at this time there was no flavor of you at all. When the second steak arrived, it was rare. My partner and I were hungry and really didn't want to sit around to have the steak redone for a third time, so we just gave up and ate it. Given this steakhouse's reputation and pricing, I expected the steak to be perfectly cooked to the right temperature. Interestingly, they couldn't cook it to medium-rare. Our waiter guided us through the menu, and directed us to the dishes that best fit what we were looking for. However, we were not blown away by the cocktails or the food. We split the Caesar salad, Roasted Bone Marrow appetizer, Rib Eye, center cut Filet and the chipotle lime corn side. The Roasted Bone Marrow was a highlight. The Caesar salad was made at the table, and was festive in presentation. The Rib Eye was the disappointment as it did not seem the quality we would expect from a restaurant like this. Definitely pricey, but for environment and service it was a fun splurge. My only service qualm is we were asked if we were celebrating something, and we shared we were. Had a really great experience here for a birthday dinner. This was my first time visiting. I really appreciated that everyone had the birthday card at the table upon arrival signifying that it was a celebration. There is a waiting area near the bar until your table is ready. I am not sure if you can eat there, but it was a nice touch instead of waiting outside or at the door. The food was amazing. Best dining experience ever!! We have went to many steakhouses in Dallas, Houston, and Austin. Boa by far was THE best steak we have ever had. We started with the Wagyu Cigar appetizer. Spices from Morocco and Lebanon infused with the ground Wagyu rolled like an egg roll. Out of this world unique appetizer ever! We ordered a 2 steak flight. The fillet wagyu and the 15 year old dry aged ribeye. It was served on a wooden board with 3 different salts and sauces. The steak is the highest quality most flavorful steak ever. Came here last night to Celebrate my birthday and it was top tier. The staff had printed out Happy birthday signs and placed them on our table. We also luckily came on 1/2 priced bottle wine night so all bottles were half off! When you come in the ambience of the restaurant is moody with some modern flair scattered around. The hosts greet you and have you wait in the bar area until your table is ready. Once we were sat, our server promptly came over to greet us. Samantha was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, considering this was our first time at this restaurant. She was also super helpful in helping us craft the perfect amount of food so we could sample everything, but wouldn't be rolling out of the restaurant into a food coma. We ordered everything all at once and she paced the items to create a great dinning experience! We ordered the Baklava and the Hamachi Crudo as a starter, i loved the savory/sweet flavor of the Baklava and the textural experience. The Hamachi Crudo was wonderful as well, a fresh palate cleanser for the remainder of the meal. Next came the table side Caesar, if you like to be entertained this is the salad for you! The service staff came with a moveable table to prepare our Caesar salad fresh table side, a really fun experience! My husband had order a double buffalo trace, but the waiter had brought out two glasses, due to the bartender thinking it was for two separate drinks. He stated that it was a mistake and would only charge us for one. We had reached the end of our dinner and JJ said that he's very busy and said that we should pay via QR code. Told us the birthday dessert and one of the buffalo trace was taken care of. When we scanned to pay, the drink was still on the bill, but that's ok we paid for it anyways. Then when we made our way to the front to leave the supervisor/host stopped us and said she wanted to make sure the dessert was not charged and that she wanted to redo our payment. She asked what dessert I had, but I had no idea what it's called. They just brought out a bday dessert. She then asked if we had buffalo trace we said yes. After confirming our bill she said we were good to go. I just felt like she only asked those questions to make sure we paid before leaving. Wouldn't you know if your guest had paid or not. Or even if they did pay for the dessert why does it matter, if the guest didn't say anything. If your don't trust your patrons using QR code to pay then don't offer it. I have dined at the been BOA Steakhouse on two separate occasions. My first experience was at their happy hour that is M-F from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the bar/lounge area. We were seated at a table in the bar area. They have a bar menu with some discounted food and beverage options. I ordered the Gloria's Margarita with Tequila Blanco, lime, lemon, orange liqueur and agave the Peaches n Dreams with Bandero tequila, peach, lime and tajin. We ordered all 3 tacos happy hour options that come with two tacos per order. They have the tuna tacos with avocados mousse, radish and cilantro, the king crab ceviche tacos with grapefruit and avocado, wagyu tacos with pico de gallo, avocado and cilantro. All three options were a taste bite with thoughtful ingredient combinations to fulfill our pallet. On the second occasion, we had a reservation but arrived to the restaurant an hour early and they were very accommodating and seated us promptly. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Started with the Fire and Smoke cocktail with del maguey puebla mezcal, pineapple, pink peppercorn, honey, firewater bitters. Then ordered the La Quebrada with gran centenario reposado tequila, aperol, passion fruit, lime, agave. This cocktail was a bit sweet for my taste and they quickly replaced it with another Fire and Smoke. Also tried the Smoke Show with knob creek rye, maple syrup, orange bitters, applewood smoke. It was served with a bottle of smoke that you could pour in the glass and it was a fun presentation to behold. Based on the recommendation of our server, we started with the goat cheese baklava with pistachios, black truffles, frisee. This wasn't even on my radar initially, but so glad we tried it as the crust was crisp and flaky and with the combination of the goat cheese and sweetness of the frisee salad, it made for a well balanced bite. Then we ordered the table side Caesar salad where they prepare the salad from scratch right by your table for a fun interactive experience. The recipe had some unique ingredients like worstiersahire sauce and Tabasco for a bold kick. Then for the main course ordered the Cajun Cowboy Ribeye prepared medium rare. There were so many options with sauces to choose from and we went with the herb butter and chimichuri sauces. It was a perfect size to split and it was grilled to perfection. The server used a torch to melt the butter pallet on top of the steak at our table. The meat was a bit inconsistent with some pieces being lean and others with marbling. I preferred the bites with more marbling. For a side we had the crème brûlée creamed corn prepared similar to the dessert with a candied top and very sweet flavor. The consistency almost reminded me of grits but very unique side. For dessert we had the bread pudding with a caramel sauce. It was brought to our table with a sparking candle that was so eye catching and a fun way to end the meal. The staff came by to check in on us and had a conversation with the manager. They were very attentive to every detail and addressed and resolved any issue that came up. The ambiance is even better than the pictures show, which do a wonderful job of setting expectations. The place is not a stuffy high end steakhouse. Its hip and cool. TLDR: Literally the best meal I've ever had. Period. I'm not much for fine dining, and I rarely review nice restaurants, because if it's good? Well, it ought to be for the cost. And if it's bad? Paying more for a truly unique and mind blowing experience. I would eat here once a week if I could afford it, and it's for sure worth the splurge. I've been twice now, for work dinners, and the only thing better than the first time was the second. Just spent a week in NY eating glorious company bought dinners, and none of them touched this. The Goat Cheese Baklava alone is worth going for, and I would have gushed about it all day, EXCEPT, on the second visit I tried The Classic Wedge, which oddly has a very similar flavor profile and you get much more bang for your buck. Creamy, cheesy, savory, but somehow still light and refreshing. It's everything I ever wanted any food to taste like in one bite. The baklava is 1000% still worth getting at least once though. I'm not big on steak as a general rule, of course it's delicious, but I'm not that into meat, so it's often a bit much for me. But, their steak is why steak was invented. I've think I've had at least a bite of all of them, and the Filet is my favorite. I heard from a co-worker that their seafood is a bit disappointing, so do with that what you will. Recently found that I'm mildly allergic to seafood, so I can't comment. All the sides are glorious. Every. Single. One. My favorite part is the immense number of truffle option, because I'm a truffle fiend. I'm also a sucker for a fabulous creamed spinach, which they have. We had a late reservation that ended up being even later because our table wasn't ready right away, but we grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited, so it wasn't a big deal. Since we dined pretty late, the service overall was just okay -- not quite what you'd expect for fine dining -- although the general manager, Sam, came over multiple times and was definitely the most attentive person we interacted with. The food, though, was excellent! The crab ceviche was super fresh and unique, and the table-side Caesar salad is a must-try. Another one did, and I let them know nobody was happy with their meals, but it was a birthday and to leave it alone. The corn brulee everyone is raving about has a faint foie gras flavor (not a bad thing, IMO) but was also VERY sweet (6.5/10). The fries were "the best part" (7.5/10) according to my husband. There is something special about a waiter that truly excels at what they do. I can easily say, I've never been more impressed by the service at a restaurant than I was today. Hats of to the hiring team. We came in for an early dinner on a Friday night before it was too crowded. We had the ceviche, baklava, porterhouse steak, and finished off with the bundt cake. Highlights were definitely the steak and dessert. The porterhouse is served a bit rare then your preference but is delivered on a piping hot stone filled with butter that will quickly sear any slice to your desired temperature. The baklava seemed to be a popular dish, but I would likely skip it next time. The warm bundt cake topped with ice cream was definitely the way to finish off a meal. My only negative here was the cocktail. We ordered the fashion forward (their take on an old fashion). My main issue was the square cube was too large for the glass. Every time you take a sip, your mouth hits the cube, making for an unpleasant flash of cold before you get a sip. The happy hour includes some great deals like $10 cocktails, and $12 charcuterie board that's actually amazing quality for the price. The reason why I only gave it 3 stars is because the burgers were overcooked and just meh (we had just been told they would be in our top burgers in the city... yea.. no.) Mine (the boa) was overcooked for me, they forgot to ask me how I liked it and I got a medium well burger patty. And my husband said the Wagyu smash burger was not great either and he would rather have Pterrys. We didn't have reservations, but they accommodated our group of 4 in the lounge area. It was a small table so difficult to have all the food but it worked for no reservations. Probably one of the best steakhouses in Austin! This California transplant has made a big impression on the local dining scene. I came here for happy hour with a friend, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. We started with a glass of red wine for me and the BOA Smash for my friend. They offer a great selection of cocktails priced around $9-10 during happy hour. For food, we both chose the smash burger and shared an order of Thai chili wings. Everything was excellent, and I was impressed by the high-quality Wagyu beef they offered at such a reasonable price. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee cake, served with vanilla ice cream and topped with a sparkler. It was definitely a showstopper, and the manager even came out to serve it to us! The service was top-notch as well as super attentive and the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. I'm already dreaming about coming back here to celebrate my next special occasion! read more

We had an after work gathering at this establishment. I liked how they had the lights dimmed enough to give it that classic upscale vibe you see on films. All that was missing was a piano near the bar. Now for the food. I opted for the Cajun Cowboy 16oz Ribeye with steak frites. For my side I had the Corn Crème Brûlée which could have been a dessert it was that sweet and savory. My steak was cooked medium and they did not disappoint. The blue cheese butter that was melted on it added to the taste. I didn't feel the cajun seasoning kick in th until about three bites in.That Cajun spicing kicked in and was just right. It was one of the best steaks I've had. I liked that it's from beef raised in the Midwest, which in my opinion is superior. The Corn Crème Brûlée was a first for me. it was absolutely delicious. I've had regular crème brûlée and was unsure what to think. Boy was I surprised. zit could have been a dessert that is how sweet it was. It was definitely a hot. I could have partaken in a bowl of it. I could not end this without mentioning the service. De'von, i think i spelled if right, was outstanding. In my many years of fine dining, he is perhaps one of the best servets I've met. He was spot on with recommendations, very knowledgeable and very professional. I could go on about the quality of service he provided us. Thank you to Tony as well for also checking in on us. Highly recommend BOA Steakhouse for your fine dining experience. My daughter and I chose BOA for our Easter celebration due to their reputation and weren't disappointed. Visited BOA for dinner to celebrate an anniversary and it did not disappoint! BOA is a whole vibe and everything about it is amazing! From the food and drinks, to the impeccable staff - it's a home run to eat here! They have so many choices for appetizers, mains and sides. The Wagyu Meatball and the table-side Caesar salad was absolutely delicious! The Wagyu Ribeye was cooked perfectly and was flavorful, as was the Branzino fish! The sides - lobster mac n cheese and the smashed broccoli were off the chart amazing! You can't go wrong with any of the options here. The staff was super attentive, explained the menu options, gave great recommendations and made the experience phenomenal! Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was chic and trendy, with a variety of seating options. I rarely leave reviews, but my latest experience at BOA Steakhouse was WILDLY unacceptable and highly disappointing. Our group was treated with open disrespect by the staff, who told us they would not serve us because they assumed we were intoxicated. Let me be very clear: we were not intoxicated. They tried to claim my eyes were 'watering' and a spilled drink meant our entire group was 'unsafe to serve'. There was no disruptive behavior, no slurred speech, no issue whatsoever that would justify that accusation. Being falsely labeled and refused service was embarrassing, frustrating and completely unprofessional -- especially at a restaurant that positions itself as upscale. And further as a restaurant that i've candidly brought many clients to and spent many nights at. After the situation escalated, management ultimately comped our drinks and dinner, which speaks volumes. You don't comp an entire table unless you know you handled things poorly. While that gesture was acknowledged, it does not undo the way we were treated or the assumptions that were made about us. This was not about policy -- it was about judgment, tone, a power trip and a lack of basic respect. For a restaurant of this caliber and price point, the standards of service should be far higher. We did end up having a lovely meal and phenomenal service just down the road at Lonesome Dove. We won't be returning to BOA. read more

Came here for our anniversary dinner and I absolutely loved it. The ambience, the staff, the food - all amazing. Our server was Angel and he really made it an enjoyable visit. We probably ordered way too much food but there was so much we really wanted to try. From the Caesar salad prepared at the table to the buttered rolls and wagyu meatball, appetizers were on point. I ordered branzino and it was delicious. The skin was perfectly crispy and the sauce and peppers a nice compliment. We also had the smashed broccoli and lobster Mac and cheese - delish!! I enjoyed the Clean for my cocktail, it was light and refreshing. I also appreciated the staff helping us celebrate. They had Happy Anniversary cards waiting for us on the table and gave us dessert as well. Angel recommended the sticky toffee and it did not disappoint. It was sweet but divine!
