Easy to make a reservation online, $8 valet, vast interior with a little outdoor seating, in a new building on w 6th in Clarksville. I have been wanting to try Aris because I love Meditteranean cuisine, and my friend loves steak. Service was excellent from start to finish, and everyone was very knowledgeable. We decided on the octopus, were also given the free bread plate, then we ordered the American Wagyu, Israeli salad, and the truffle fries. It was the perfect amount for two, and everything tasted magnificent. We added the $10 carving presentation which came with bone marrow plus some sage lit on fire. We also got the Dubai cheesecake and it came out with a fire sparkler since we were celebrating my new job. It was an awesome night. I would definitely return to and recommend Aris.

The Good: The service! Can't say enough about the professional and friendly staff. Great food and ambiance without good service will not get me to come back. This was not the case here - I'll be back! The Bad: Nothing glaring to report. The Bucatini al Granchio was tasty but seemed to missing something to make it shine. The Ugly: A swing and a miss when it came to their interpretation of tiramisu. Tasted good but really no resemblance - was more akin to a messy napoleon.

We had a lovely date night here. We started with the Aris Cigar appetizer and martinis. The Lychee martini was an exceptional, non-martini tasting, cocktail. We also devoured the bread and dipping sides. For the main course we had the catch of the day and a ribeye. Both were excellent and cooked perfectly. The carrots and Aris puree (i.e. squash and potato, mashed potatoes) complimented the entrees well, but it was probably a little too much food. The staff were very helpful with menu options and suggestions. Ambiance was appropriate for a fine dining experience.

We went for dinner and service was excellent and the food was very good. My husband was happier with entree than I was with mine. My filet came out very undercooked and was just never right when it came back out. It was just okay. My husband had the spinalis steak and loved it!

The Austin food scene is really getting amazing - an Israeli / Mediterranean steakhouse. Really exciting. In a city that has a good amount of excellent steaks, here is a new one that is differentiated! The service was great - our server was very friendly, really new her stuff, and told us she would be on top of timing the dishes and that was really cool since alot of places arent that good with that. Everything was really good - the breads and sauces and i have to say some of the best fries i've had. Israeli salad with hummus is excellent. We went with the filet and the fish - I have to say I wasn't super hungry but as much as i liked the filet (cooked, seasoned very nicely), I think i need to return for ribeye / NY Strip. The fish was delicious served with risotto. Very nice Manhattan to start the meal. They have an extensive wine list and really wanted an Israeli wine but opted not to. Also have to say the decor & vibe was nice too. This is a place I will want to return to for sure (entering the rotation with my grill, cast iron, and several great steakhouses in ATX!) I know it's a steakhouse but now I'm in the mood for more Israeli food and can't wait to try Ezov - especially since they have schnitzel on their brunch menu.

Aris has claimed the top spot in our steak dinner rotation! We've long been loyal to 3 Forks, Perry's, and Bulevar, but Aris just raised the bar. Part of the SOF Hospitality group, Aris delivers a Mediterranean/Israeli-inspired menu concept. Google "Aris - SOF Hospitality" for the full story. The restaurant decor is modern and warm. It's a bit noisy, but not a distraction. Service is impeccable. Our server guided us through our entire dining experience. Valet parking is available, but we found parking just a two-minute walk away. We kicked things off with two flawless martinis, they arrived exactly as ordered, complete with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives. Then the complimentary bread servic arrived. Oh man this was dangerously good. The focaccia was our favorite, with the olive loaf close behind. The sumac butter and whipped olive oil marmalade? Unexpected and absolutely delicious. it took all of our willpower to not devour this bread service. The tomato salad App was a standout: four unique tomato preparations, Moroccan olives, jalapeño, egg yolk, and feta. If you're a tomato lover, this dish is a must. We both ordered the dry-aged rib-eye. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked medium rare to perfection. Our veggie side was equally good. Because this was a celebratory dinner, we were comped a chocolate dessert that was beyond decadent. Aris will $et you back but is well worth it. Their happy hour also has great reviews and that is on the radar for a return visit. Aris is an easy-peasy 5-star review.

The ambiance in this restaurant was something to be talked about! It was stunning & the service was extremely attentive. Our waiter had fantastic recommendations that helped guide us in our order. Our favorite items were the crudo, honey harissa carrots & pan seared fish! I would say the tiramisu was not what we were expecting & would not be something we'd rush back for, but all in all everything else was incredible.

4.3 Decided to check out Aris Restaurant, and honestly... it was a whole vibe . The ambience was giving terracotta dreams--warm, earthy, and intimate--with great background music setting the tone . The bread platter to start which came out warm and soft, paired with three dipping sauces that were all hits . The Aris cigars were amazing--packed with warm spices and full of flavor. Easily a standout appetizer . For my main, I had the pan-seared Dorade fish. It was good, but slightly underseasoned at first. I asked for finishing salt, which they graciously provided, and once added, Perfect . The risotto though... whew --rich, creamy goodness that I'd absolutely order again. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches: after my appetizer, they wiped the table down (love that level of care), and the leather-bound check holder was such a classy final detail . It's the little things! Take home mesaage: Aris delivered on ambiance, flavor, and service. Definitely worth the visit

Aris is located towards the back of a new office building off of 6th street but there are drives on both 5th and 6th. Valet parking is $8 and it's unclear if you have to valet (surprising since there is plenty of office parking on premise). The space has a warm vibe with booth and table seating (high tops that have a view of the dry aging room) with greenery around. A bar dominates the center of the restaurant. This place gets packed pretty quickly on the weekends. We had a reservation for 5 at 8:30 and we were finally seated nearly 30 minutes after our reservation. I think the table was slow to leave. For food: - breads were very tasty with some dips - octopus - perfectly tender with Mediterranean flavors. A big hit - we ended up ordering another one. - short ribs - decadently tender with a honey glaze. I'd share this dish because it is rich rich rich. Comes with some bone marrow to make it even better - Moroccan Tiger Shrimp - yummy flavors on this one - bone in 21 day aged NY Strip. Exactly what you'd want from a dry aged steak. That slight unctuousness and grilled to a perfect med rare. You can have them pre-slice for you as well. - honey harissa carrots, mushrooms and truffle French fries rounded out the meal No dessert this time since we could barely move after the meal.

One of the best Valentine's Day dinners l've experienced. Matt is honestly the best bar manager in the business right now. He slings delicious drinks without the pretentious snobbery like some of the other spots in town. Frank is the sweetest GM, always touching tables and accommodating requests. Seth has a fantastic attitude and makes everyone feel welcome with his charming personality. Derrick made it a point to come and say hi and open our wine for us. He is such a sweetheart and clearly an asset to the team. There's not one staff member that I interacted with on Saturday night that didn't make me laugh, smile, or warm inside. Thank you for a stunning meal. If you're looking for a perfect steak, octopus, pasta, BREAD SERVICE, look no further than Chef Hai and Sous Chef Cristian. Cheers Aris steakhouse! Also - special props to the design team, this restaurant is gorgeous and I love the mouthwash and hand towels in the bathroom.

This might be my new favorite restaurant in town! I came here earlier this spring to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it absolutely delivered on all fronts for a special occasion. First off, they have their own parking which is a huge plus, especially with how challenging that's becoming for downtown spots. The moment you walk in you're greeted with a stunning interior, highlighted by a unique shade of orange that really sets the tone and unlike anything I've seen in other restaurant designs. The menu leans into Mediterranean flavors with standout dishes like the Israeli salad and hiramasa crudo, but also offers more classic steakhouse items like tenderloin, broccolini, and asparagus. Do not skip the bread service as it was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of the meal. Beyond the food, the wine list is impressive and the service is top-tier thoughtful, attentive, and a level of detail you don't always find in Austin. Now that they've launched a new happy hour, I'll definitely be back soon!

    Ribeye and bone marrow
    Cam H.

Loved the ambiance--this is a very stylish and upscale steakhouse with great service to match. The staff were attentive and quick to clear plates as we finished each course, which made for a seamless dining experience. The ribeye was rich and flavorful, though a bit too heavy for my taste. It came out quite oily--likely due to the bone marrow add-on--which was enjoyable at first but quickly became overwhelming. The house bread paired with honey butter was a nice touch, and the spring rolls had a pleasant curry flavor that our table really enjoyed. As for dessert, I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Some of the options had an odd bitter aftertaste. The crème brûlée was the best of the bunch, but still not the best I've had in town.

Aris is a welcome addition to Austin. I have been to their sister restaurant in Houston and was wow'd. The ambiance is upscale and has plenty of style. I do think the tables are a little close together, I think a lot of places have been guilty of this. The service is very friendly and prompt. Multiple people chatted with us from the server to the water filler and people who brought out our food. They provided great recommendations. The ribeye was grilled very nicely and we appreciated the little show when they cut it for us. A stand out was the Israeli salad, it paired perfectly with the rich steak. For app we got the hamachi crudo. I thought the texture was off but it did not taste fishy. The sauce and toppings with the crudo had a nice taste. As for dessert the cheesecake was stellar. Wonderful flavors.

Great service like that really enhances the dining experience. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that it's located in a historic old bank. The building adds so much charm and character to the experience. I was curious to explore more of the property, especially the vault area, but it appeared to be reserved for employees. Overall, we enjoyed every bite of our meal and had a fantastic experience. I will definitely be back and plan to bring family and friends so they can experience this special place for themselves.

Our server, Delina, was so sweet and incredibly helpful with her recommendations based on what my husband and I were in the mood for. The complimentary bread and butter were also mouthwatering--I honestly wanted another roll. For drinks, we asked for something refreshing, and Delina delivered. My husband had a cocktail that reminded him of an Aperol Spritz with a mojito twist, while the watermelon hibiscus margarita was absolutely perfect for the weather. We shared a Caesar salad and ordered the Dean's Style steak with the sauce on the side. This was the one dish that left me a little disappointed. The steak wasn't as juicy as I expected when cutting into the center, but thankfully, having the sauce on the side helped elevate the flavor. I highly recommend the truffle béarnaise sauce--it was delicious. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and Delina truly made our evening enjoyable. We were excited to try the food, and were hungry. Our server appeared (I can't remember his name but he was a short guy with blond hair). I ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered beer to begin with. He went away and then came back asking my husband if he wanted some whiskey cocktail, and we corrected him that we had asked for a particular beer. No big deal. We then ordered the deviled eggs and shishito peppers, and the red fish and short ribs for entree. A lady brought us the drinks, and the deviled eggs. Our server swung by and then disappeared. We thought the shishito peppers were on their way. We waited for what seemed like a really long time and still no shishito peppers. We also noticed that each table had a carafe of water except ours. We were just given water once, and then our server never bothered to fill the water up. Anyway, we kept waiting since there was no sign of the server. At this point, we felt he might have forgotten the second appetizer and we just did not want it, but he was nowhere to be found. A man (not our server) brought out our entrees. We then told him that we had been waiting for our second appetizer and would just want to cancel it. We asked if we could get the biscuits instead. He brought out the biscuits within a few minutes. Now this is where it really annoyed us. Had our server just come over and said he had forgotten our shishito peppers, it would have been okay. Human. What he tried was act smart and dropped by saying the shishito peppers would be out to which we said that we didn't want an appetizer after an entree and had cancelled it. I almost felt like he was treating us as if he thought we don't really dine out or whatever and he could just make fools of us. This really didn't sit right with me. We asked him for water and he filled it up left. The food was above average. The short ribs were good but my red fish had been hammered! The biscuits were good. The deviled eggs were good as well. Anyway, we finished our meal, and got the check, paid, and were waiting to finish our drinks. The receipt was on our table. Also, note, it was not a particularly busy day with several empty tables. What our server did next was absolutely unacceptable. I think he wanted to see if we had tipped him after his awful service. We did, but not 20% as we always do because of the soddy job he did, not to mention his attitude. We paid 15% which I think was more than what he deserved now. Out of nowhere, and mind you, after being absent for long periods before, he just came by, grabbed the paid up bill from our table to our shock, while we were still sitting and talking, looked at the bill, turned towards us, and muttered something angry under his breath and walked away. I have never seen this level of entitlement and bad behavior. We left right away. We had been really looking forward to this meal but I would not want to go back. The food was good, but not great, and I would not want to put up with such obnoxious behavior as a paying customer.

I paid the tip and received no compensation for this review. I'm focusing only on the dishes I personally ate. We had a 6 PM Sunday reservation, and the restaurant was quiet and calm. We were seated near the front, but I saw several dining areas -- all classic, clean-lined, and intimate. Our server, Adam, was exceptional from start to finish. His timing, attention to detail, and genuine care elevated the entire evening. He made thoughtful recommendations for cocktails and dessert, and every suggestion was spot on. Cocktails I asked for something light, and Adam suggested a summery twist on their cucumber martini. He added elderflower, and it was refreshing and delicious. We also tried the Divorce Papers (light, slightly sweet, with an earthy undertone) and the Dreamsicle, which is sweet, fun, and honestly as much an experience as it is a drink. While we waited, we were served a small blintz bite with caviar -- a lovely bite to start the meal. Starters We ordered the crabcake and the Caprese salad, both easily shareable. * The crabcake is one of the best I've had in Austin -- large, packed with jumbo and shredded crab, and seasoned perfectly. The aioli and fresh lemon made every bite better. * The Caprese truly surprised me. I expected heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, but the Sicilian pesto with Marcona almonds elevated it in an unexpected way. The pesto was thick, chunky, and incredibly flavorful -- it tied everything together beautifully. Balsamic and olive oil are added tableside, and the dish is as delicious as it is pretty. We were also served Brazilian cheese bread, which had a sharp cheese flavor and a great chew. Mains & Sides I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon, cooked rare. It had a perfect peppery crust and a tender center -- exactly what you want from a fine steakhouse. For sides, we shared: * Crispy Brussels sprouts -- roasted through, very crispy, and served with walnuts, feta, shaved prosciutto, and balsamic. Best when you get a little of everything in one bite. * Truffle sweet potatoes -- the first serving had undercooked layers, but the staff handled my feedback professionally and quickly brought a new dish. The remade version was delicious, with a great balance of flavors. Dessert Adam recommended the Carajillo, an after-dinner cocktail made tableside. If you enjoy espresso, get this -- the presentation alone is worth it. We tried two desserts: * Crème brûlée -- large enough to share, topped with berries, with a perfectly thin sugar top. * Flambéed strawberry shortcake -- made tableside by Enrique, who explained each step as he prepared it. The house poundcake is buttery but balanced by the ice cream and strawberries. Not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Also very shareable. Overall A great steakhouse should deliver on food, ambience, service, and drinks -- and J-Prime Steakhouse absolutely does. I had multiple moments where I paused just to appreciate the flavors. Adam made the evening fun, and the entire team ensured the experience felt special. I left wanting to come back and try more of their popular dishes.

This was a celebration dinner. The service was good, but the Japanese A5 filet was nothing special…read more It was just expensive--$144. The dress code was not being enforced because I saw sneakers, ball caps, tanks, and jeans. I requested no nuts due to a food allergy and the broccolini asparagus side had PISTACHIOS in it! Overall, very disappointing and would not recommend to anyone. I've had better steaks at Perry's, Eddie Vs, Peche, and Capitol Grill.

This restaurant was everything I could of asked for. Probably the best restaurant we tried in all of Austin. I'm from Los Angeles, and have been to many high end and hip restaurants, this was definitely up there with some of the best restaurants. Food: Crab tagliatelle is a must! This dish was delicious and everything you can ask for from a pasta. Gnocchi special with Peas and Asperagus is a must. This creamy and feather light dish was packed with so much flavour. Lobster scalloping was very good as well and so was the filet mignon. But best of all were the side of carrots, pear and endive salad and the Cho salad. My drink was the basil cocktail was was phenomenal. Everything was just so so very good. Our waitress Tiagna was an absolute delight in every way. Thank you so much!!!

I had a great view of everybody walking by the restaurant outside :) Our server was fantastic! He was super friendly and attentive. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and left a little after 10:00 p.m. The food was delicious. My man absolutely loved his seafood pasta dish! He doesn't even eat pasta but he scraped that plate dry. I highly recommend ordering family style for the table but make sure your whole party is on board with splitting the check evenly because the restaurant does not break up the check according to diners only split evenly, I believe up to four ways. Example: Our check was $822 (included gratuities) for seven people and we were only able to split evenly four ways. Roughly $118 each. It is what it is but I didn't even get a main course. Just a glass of wine, a half of a piece of bruschetta, some of the Caesar salad and a small portion of the gnocchi (all shared) I'm glad I got to experience Red Ash, but now that I've checked that off my list, I'm good.
