We went for dinner and service was excellent and the food was very good. My husband was happier with entree than I was with mine. My filet came out very undercooked and was just never right when it came back out. It was just okay. My husband had the spinalis steak and loved it!

The ambiance in this restaurant was something to be talked about! It was stunning & the service was extremely attentive. Our waiter had fantastic recommendations that helped guide us in our order. Our favorite items were the crudo, honey harissa carrots & pan seared fish! I would say the tiramisu was not what we were expecting & would not be something we'd rush back for, but all in all everything else was incredible.

The Austin food scene is really getting amazing - an Israeli / Mediterranean steakhouse. Really exciting. In a city that has a good amount of excellent steaks, here is a new one that is differentiated! The service was great - our server was very friendly, really new her stuff, and told us she would be on top of timing the dishes and that was really cool since alot of places arent that good with that. Everything was really good - the breads and sauces and i have to say some of the best fries i've had. Israeli salad with hummus is excellent. We went with the filet and the fish - I have to say I wasn't super hungry but as much as i liked the filet (cooked, seasoned very nicely), I think i need to return for ribeye / NY Strip. The fish was delicious served with risotto. Very nice Manhattan to start the meal. They have an extensive wine list and really wanted an Israeli wine but opted not to. Also have to say the decor & vibe was nice too. This is a place I will want to return to for sure (entering the rotation with my grill, cast iron, and several great steakhouses in ATX!) I know it's a steakhouse but now I'm in the mood for more Israeli food and can't wait to try Ezov - especially since they have schnitzel on their brunch menu.

4.3 Decided to check out Aris Restaurant, and honestly... it was a whole vibe . The ambience was giving terracotta dreams--warm, earthy, and intimate--with great background music setting the tone . The bread platter to start which came out warm and soft, paired with three dipping sauces that were all hits . The Aris cigars were amazing--packed with warm spices and full of flavor. Easily a standout appetizer . For my main, I had the pan-seared Dorade fish. It was good, but slightly underseasoned at first. I asked for finishing salt, which they graciously provided, and once added, Perfect . The risotto though... whew --rich, creamy goodness that I'd absolutely order again. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches: after my appetizer, they wiped the table down (love that level of care), and the leather-bound check holder was such a classy final detail . It's the little things! Take home mesaage: Aris delivered on ambiance, flavor, and service. Definitely worth the visit

Aris has claimed the top spot in our steak dinner rotation! We've long been loyal to 3 Forks, Perry's, and Bulevar, but Aris just raised the bar. Part of the SOF Hospitality group, Aris delivers a Mediterranean/Israeli-inspired menu concept. Google "Aris - SOF Hospitality" for the full story. The restaurant decor is modern and warm. It's a bit noisy, but not a distraction. Service is impeccable. Our server guided us through our entire dining experience. Valet parking is available, but we found parking just a two-minute walk away. We kicked things off with two flawless martinis, they arrived exactly as ordered, complete with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives. Then the complimentary bread servic arrived. Oh man this was dangerously good. The focaccia was our favorite, with the olive loaf close behind. The sumac butter and whipped olive oil marmalade? Unexpected and absolutely delicious. it took all of our willpower to not devour this bread service. The tomato salad App was a standout: four unique tomato preparations, Moroccan olives, jalapeño, egg yolk, and feta. If you're a tomato lover, this dish is a must. We both ordered the dry-aged rib-eye. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked medium rare to perfection. Our veggie side was equally good. Because this was a celebratory dinner, we were comped a chocolate dessert that was beyond decadent. Aris will $et you back but is well worth it. Their happy hour also has great reviews and that is on the radar for a return visit. Aris is an easy-peasy 5-star review.

One of the best Valentine's Day dinners l've experienced. Matt is honestly the best bar manager in the business right now. He slings delicious drinks without the pretentious snobbery like some of the other spots in town. Frank is the sweetest GM, always touching tables and accommodating requests. Seth has a fantastic attitude and makes everyone feel welcome with his charming personality. Derrick made it a point to come and say hi and open our wine for us. He is such a sweetheart and clearly an asset to the team. There's not one staff member that I interacted with on Saturday night that didn't make me laugh, smile, or warm inside. Thank you for a stunning meal. If you're looking for a perfect steak, octopus, pasta, BREAD SERVICE, look no further than Chef Hai and Sous Chef Cristian. Cheers Aris steakhouse! Also - special props to the design team, this restaurant is gorgeous and I love the mouthwash and hand towels in the bathroom.

Aris is located towards the back of a new office building off of 6th street but there are drives on both 5th and 6th. Valet parking is $8 and it's unclear if you have to valet (surprising since there is plenty of office parking on premise). The space has a warm vibe with booth and table seating (high tops that have a view of the dry aging room) with greenery around. A bar dominates the center of the restaurant. This place gets packed pretty quickly on the weekends. We had a reservation for 5 at 8:30 and we were finally seated nearly 30 minutes after our reservation. I think the table was slow to leave. For food: - breads were very tasty with some dips - octopus - perfectly tender with Mediterranean flavors. A big hit - we ended up ordering another one. - short ribs - decadently tender with a honey glaze. I'd share this dish because it is rich rich rich. Comes with some bone marrow to make it even better - Moroccan Tiger Shrimp - yummy flavors on this one - bone in 21 day aged NY Strip. Exactly what you'd want from a dry aged steak. That slight unctuousness and grilled to a perfect med rare. You can have them pre-slice for you as well. - honey harissa carrots, mushrooms and truffle French fries rounded out the meal No dessert this time since we could barely move after the meal.

This might be my new favorite restaurant in town! I came here earlier this spring to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it absolutely delivered on all fronts for a special occasion. First off, they have their own parking which is a huge plus, especially with how challenging that's becoming for downtown spots. The moment you walk in you're greeted with a stunning interior, highlighted by a unique shade of orange that really sets the tone and unlike anything I've seen in other restaurant designs. The menu leans into Mediterranean flavors with standout dishes like the Israeli salad and hiramasa crudo, but also offers more classic steakhouse items like tenderloin, broccolini, and asparagus. Do not skip the bread service as it was absolutely delicious and one of the highlights of the meal. Beyond the food, the wine list is impressive and the service is top-tier thoughtful, attentive, and a level of detail you don't always find in Austin. Now that they've launched a new happy hour, I'll definitely be back soon!

    Ribeye and bone marrow
    Cam H.

Loved the ambiance--this is a very stylish and upscale steakhouse with great service to match. The staff were attentive and quick to clear plates as we finished each course, which made for a seamless dining experience. The ribeye was rich and flavorful, though a bit too heavy for my taste. It came out quite oily--likely due to the bone marrow add-on--which was enjoyable at first but quickly became overwhelming. The house bread paired with honey butter was a nice touch, and the spring rolls had a pleasant curry flavor that our table really enjoyed. As for dessert, I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Some of the options had an odd bitter aftertaste. The crème brûlée was the best of the bunch, but still not the best I've had in town.

Aris is a welcome addition to Austin. I have been to their sister restaurant in Houston and was wow'd. The ambiance is upscale and has plenty of style. I do think the tables are a little close together, I think a lot of places have been guilty of this. The service is very friendly and prompt. Multiple people chatted with us from the server to the water filler and people who brought out our food. They provided great recommendations. The ribeye was grilled very nicely and we appreciated the little show when they cut it for us. A stand out was the Israeli salad, it paired perfectly with the rich steak. For app we got the hamachi crudo. I thought the texture was off but it did not taste fishy. The sauce and toppings with the crudo had a nice taste. As for dessert the cheesecake was stellar. Wonderful flavors.

Went for a birthday dinner, loved the decor and atmosphere, very classy, probably would work for an expensive work dinner. The menu is $$$ but you can share family style to make it better. We had. - aris cigar was very good and comes cut in pieces so easy to share - they were out of the strip loin on a Friday night.. really? - a Ribeye that comes with salt and pepper on the side, really well done - the pan seared fish was very good and the risotto too - bread service is a must - birthday tiramisu was meh and you would think it could have been gifted but no... $16 - over $600 dinner for 5 of us, and only 4 drinking: OUTCH. Note: I asked the waiter for a mocktail and there was no discretion about it + $15 for it. I didn't actually like it so I sent it back and it was still on our check. Pay attention. The valet also gave me a whole speech about how I wasn't allowed to park in the retail spot, it's valet only. Dude, the spots were all opened and as far as I know, you count as retail. I wouldn't be back unless it's a work dinner. There are much better places for more reasonable prices in town.

OK, talk about a vibe here. The ambience in there is just amazing and it does not matter what time of day you go. This place is great just to go have drinks, a night out, girls dinner, even a date. I have to say that everything I ordered there was great and I definitely will keep going back to keep trying the rest of the menu. Not one dish that I got was disappointing. You definitely have to try the beats. It comes with some amazing goat cheese in it that is just phenomenal. You also get complementary bread and the oils that it comes with is just divine. The beef tartar looked very interesting but the type of meat that's mixed in there is just so delicious that this has to be one of the best beef tartare that I have had in Austin so far. I also shared the tomahawk steak, which is a very nice presentation and that steak was like butter. They definitely cook everything here to perfection. They have a wide range of cocktails they're old-fashioned was perfectly made. And also a great selection of wine. The bar is so pretty as well. And you have to make sure and check out the meat vault on your way out. Everyone that worked there was so helpful and greeting and just so friendly.

Watching the chefs work up close adds so much to the experience and really highlights the care and skill that goes into every dish. We started with the morita shrimp appetizer, then had the short rib special and the half chicken. Every bite was packed with flavor- the food is consistently incredible. What really sets Ember apart, though, is the service. It's consistently warm, attentive, and perfectly timed without ever feeling overbearing. Whether it's your first visit or your fifth, Ember delivers on food, experience, and hospitality. One of our go-to spots in Austin and always worth coming back to.

My understanding is that Ember will validate, but it wasn't apparent to me how that works and honestly I walked out forgetting it and having to pay the bill for parking - oh well. I came with a party of six and we were celebrating a birthday. The team at Ember was very accommodating. We were seated downstairs in their "Speakeasy" room. It's a bit dark, but cool atmosphere. There are other dining options if you prefer a bit brighter setting. We were served complimentary birthday shots! These were quite tasty - enough so that I ordered another round of those citrus based shooters. Everyone at the table ordered a cocktail. Nearly all the cocktails on the menu are going to be served in a feminine looking glass and with a flower. The cocktail menu is pretty much for the ladies. On the bright side, they have a good selection of bourbons, tequila, etc available for straight pours at a decent price. Not extensive selection, but I think a good choice - enough that I think you will find something to fit your price point and taste profile. Our waitress was top notch. Very attentive and paid close attention to the orders from our gluten sensitive guest ensuring she ordered safely. We ordered a couple small plates as appetizers for the whole table. Everyone loved the crab cake. I thought it was tasty but wasn't expecting whole kernel corn in a crab cake so that threw me off a little. Market seafood crudo - this is a fish appetizer and as the name implies changes based on availability. The night we ate was a Hamachi or Salmon option. The salmon had a bit more of a spicy sauce so we chose that. It was a hit. We also chose a tuna tartare and it was fresh, good but didn't knock our socks off. When ready for the main course - our waitress had a number of off-menu specials to tell us about and honestly many were very interesting options. In fact, we chose to split a 50oz Tomahawk steak. This was a huge steak plated on a hot platter, already sliced off the bone with some fingerling potatoes. This was honestly the most expensive part of the meal (no surprise), but also the least impressive. Now visually it was a spectacle for sure, but the meat certainly had pieces that were tough with some large pieces of fat. Now I don't mind the fat, but when sliced there were a couple pieces that were nothing but fat, other pieces still that were mostly gristle. We all agreed the seasoning was just missing, it seemed to have no seasoning at all. It was also quite charred. One of the claims to fame here is their Josper oven and clearly it can put a good char on a steak. Some in our party liked it, but I thought it was a bit much. There can be fine line between a good steak crust and a burnt crust. I thought it was a bit much, and maybe why the seasoning seemed missing. On the bright side, it was cooked correctly to order. My only problem was, for the price, this was a complete miss. We also ordered scallops and the morida shrimp. Both were excellent. These were probably worth coming back for. The morida shrimp come served in a bowl with a rich sauce that was enjoyed by the whole party. The scallops come pan seared and were cooked perfectly - which is key to enjoying a good scallop. Be aware that the typical order of scallops though comes with only two scallops - rather light even for a single individual, because these were not on the "small plates" menu, it was supposed to be a full entree. Great experience overall, but we just felt not quite worth what we had to pay for it. Overall, it was just over $150 per person. What could have saved it - for that price, the steak HAS to be on point.
