I ordered the two (aka divorced) style so I could try two sauces - the creamy poblano and the habanero. I'm a creamy poblano person. Great waiter - forgot his name (the tall one), but he was very attentive without being suffocating. And the chefs behind the counter were smiling and all happy so it must be a good place to work. I went out for lunch with several coworkers on a Monday, and the dining room was packed. We snagged the last available table. The dining room is rather small and the tables are pretty close together, but I was still quite comfortable. None of us had ever been to the restaurant before, and we all found the chilaquiles portion of the menu to be a bit overwhelming. We weren't sure how to order, and we ultimately all opted for the non specialty entres. I got the beef taco plate, and my coworkers got the chicken with pablano, chicken quesadillas, and chicken fajita tacos. Everything came with rice and beans and the portions were very generous. I hate to leave a three star review for this place because their food is definitely five star. The service on the other hand when you called to do your order or you pick up your food it is like you're putting someone out and interrupting their day. The attitude is real sad. Therefore, I chose this last time to order my food online through Uber Eats. It all looked wonderful but my I love you so much had no sauce at all on it so it was just a bowl of really dry nachos for you know $25 plus that I never ate. Given the volume of options going for the divorciados to try two flavors seemed like a no brainer. I went for the Smokey chipotle and mole and thought they were both great! The Lamar sauce was mild (as described) whereas the 620 was very spice forward for someone like me who doesn't eat much spicy food. It was tolerable but my mouth did tingle a bit! I appreciated that I was able to get my chilaquiles with no dairy (no cotija, Monterey Jack, or sour cream). A sad life without cheese but having places that understand food allergies really helps! Torta with 620 sauce for the chilaquiles inside. The tort had steak inside which my partner really enjoyed. The torta was MASSIVE! It was enough for him to save the rest of his torta to have for lunch (after already eating about half of it during breakfast) The waitress was very attentive and would come back often to refill the coffee. Came back after a few years around lunch time. The menu seems to have changed since my last visit. Not in items offered, but the physical menu. It was very good. The food came and it was absolutely delicious! You get some crunchy and some wet chips in an incredibly good red sauce... the melted cheese on top was fantastic! I've been multiple times and I learned that I didn't really need a lot of add-ons because it already comes with a lot of food and they can add up to make your breakfast pricier than I would want. My favorite so far are the longhorn chilaquiles as the sauces blend together to make a wonderful flavorful combo. The restaurant is small so I would recommended calling ahead, especially if you have a big group. The food is consistently delicious and makes a great go-to spot for our out-of-town friends and family. My brothers and I were up north for the MS walk and decided to grab some breakfast. I popped onto YELP and found this amazing place! It's tucked into a busy little shopping center but there is plenty of parking. When we opened the door we knew we were in the right place. :) It reminded me of a restaurant in NYC/Chicago, or some other big city. It was tiny, lively, and full of energy. It's a small restaurant. There are tables along one side of the wall and the kitchen is along the other side. We did not feel crowded at our table. Plenty of room to get in and out. There were a few tables outside as well, but inside is where you want to be. The tables are the half booth/half chairs so choose wisely. We were greeted promptly and brought our drink of choice. My brother wanted a Diet Coke but it's a "Pepsi only" place so he got water instead. (Just fyi) The name of this place says it all...ChilaKILLERS. As we looked at tables next to us we could see that the chilaquiles were a huge portion so we decided to get one for the table and we each ordered a taco. The most popular sauce was the Longhorn so we had to try that. We got 4/5 peppers but it wasn't that hot to us. Granted we are a spicy loving crew so you decide for yourself. We did get habanero salsa for our tacos and that spice level was perfect. The waitstaff was friendly and kept our water glasses full and checked in on us several times. We will definitely be back. First off, the staff and team were incredible. Not only were they attentive to me even though it was pretty busy, but they gave me solid recommendations and were fast with getting food out! When it comes to the food, I ordered the Longhorn chilaquiles (their most popular dish) with Campechana. The portion size was fantastic for the price, could be two servings for most people, but of course I ate it all in one. I got the spice level at 3 just so I could gauge it and it was solid. I could handle 4, but I'd say 3 is good for most people. The meats were fantastic (the steak was a little tough) and the sauce made everything so soft and delicious. The chips weren't too soggy, but soaked up just the right amount. And of course, the Horchata is a must. All in all, this place is a must and I can't recommend it enough. I have come to Los Chilakillers a couple of times for lunch now since I work near by. It's always packed (~10-20 min wait) and for a good reason. They have the best chilaquiles I have ever had and I order the Longhorn every time but change up my toppings. I usually get level 3 for spice level and it's the perfect amount of kick without having to constantly reach for water. The portion sizes are so generous that each order of chilaquiles becomes 3 solid meals for me. Despite the short wait, the service here is always excellent. Everyone is super friendly but sometimes the kitchen can be a little slow during peak hours. The music is lively and I love the colorful decor they have up. Once I tasted the food, all of those negative thoughts left my mind and I just couldn't stop raving on how delicious the food was. This time around I tried the breakfast tacos. My only complaint is that the tortillas weren't homemade, but other than that, the tacos were pretty good. I just prefer homemade tortillas. There's outdoor seating and indoor seating. The restaurant feels pretty tight so I don't recommend large parties but perfect if you have 4 or less. menu is pretty simple and with a name like chilakillers you gotta try the chilaquiles. The Longhorn is a poblano cream masterpiece loaded with cheese and chips. Be warned, it's heavy so if you have spice tolerance I would definitely get some hot sauce on the side or level 3+ to cut the heft. Refried beans are creamy and smooth with the earthy notes and a cute little roll comes with it to dip in the sauce. That said, a bit pricey for what it is but tastes great! read more
