Wow, all I can say is wow. Very impressed with my experience at this restaurant. The location is perfect. Dining room is beautiful and welcoming. The menu is diverse with many different options from breakfast foods to sandwiches. Our server, Ryan, was amazing and super welcoming. Every employee was helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Bloody Mary, 9/10, and the eggs Benedict, 100000/10. The best eggs Benedict I have ever had!! Their bacon and avocado toast is so-so but everything else is to die for!!! Excellent place for breakfast or brunch. They have everything from traditional breakfast choices to decadent breakfast choices. I went with the Southwest Scramble and the hubby choose the Supreme Omlette, both very yummy - and the hubby is hard to please! We also splurged and had the Grand Mimosas, they did not disappoint. I have been here several times and have always had excellent customer service and food. Last week was the opposite. I ordered the city grits. The food was cold. I sent it back and then it came back hot with no seasoning. Third time was a charm sort of, it was hot and had seasoning but it was a heavy smoky flavor, I'm not sure if the bacon was burnt, but it was not my usual five star dish! read more

It was so hard not to leave a 5 star review and unfortunately there's no half stars. I had the Broken Egg Biscuit Sandwich and every component except the biscuit itself was delicious. The biscuit was so hard that it was not edible so I had to deconstruct the sandwich to enjoy. My breakfast date had the strawberry pound cake french toast which is a dope spin on a breakfast classic and was quite tasty. Wait was what was expected, got seated pretty quickly on arrival but def a good idea to join the waitlist beforehand. Seating area was a little cramped and tighter than what I prefer but not horrible. read more

Our usual go-to is First Watch. But sometimes I feel like something new, similar, but somewhat different. This hits the spot! I loved the way the place looks inside, I can totally see the effort - cute, cozy, light and airy, looks cool in pictures if you feel like snapping a few. The food was good too, I loved the rum cakes - add captain Morgan for spiked cakes and your brunch now has an interesting twist! Will come again for sure! read more

Great mimosas. Delicious breakfast. Friendly service. What more could you want?! This restaurant is very unassuming walking up but indeed is nice and they offer a great menu! The biscuits and gravy are top tier and so are the banana foster pancakes. The service is friendly and even though they can get busy the food comes out in a timely manner. Hungry for breakfast here in Texas and decided to come to Another Broken Egg Cafe. We got seated quickly by the hostess and Suzy, our waitress introduced herself and was quick and friendly. I had ordered the Hash Brown Benedict and Stace got the Chicken and Waffles. I had also ordered the City Grits - Grits w Bacon, Green Onions, and boy was that delicious. I'm sorry I was not able to told photos of what we had ordered but this restaurant will not disappoint! When we come back into town we will definitely come back here for Breakfast/Brunch =D The restaurant was very organized and clean along with their restrooms. And the staff, they were phenomenal. Oh, and they have drinks for adults here Hahaa!!! So it will definitely not disappoint!!! read more

Last minute brunch on a weekend is always hectic. This place was packed so we had to wait a while but it was worth it! Got the seasonal chicken picatta Benedict which I highly recommend! Both of our plates were huge servings and despite our efforts we couldn't finish either. Our waitress also gave us free beignets since it was our first time! Very sweet kind staff and delicious food all the way around. I highly recommend going earlier in case of a wait. read more

My boyfriend and I have started to go out a bit more and one of our goals for 2022 is to try new breakfast spots that we haven't gone too before especially on the weekends. So on Sunday we decided to go try a new breakfast spot it was a close call between here and cafe Java but we took the trip into the far west area to find this hidden gem. Stepping into the restaurant this spot is in a cute plaza next to the randalls. The decor is super homey and inviting, the host promptly greeted us and sat us down at a table. A lot of places have gone digital due to Covid but this space still has paper menus and I actually prefer these physical menus! Once we sat down we both decided on two different types of Benedict's and ordered with the super attentive server. She was great and checked on us often throughout the meal, in a world where service industry workers are lacking she deserves an A +. The restaurant has a lot of families and got super packed around the time we were leaving at 10am. This place has such an extensive menu and the food was wonderful! We will definitely be back in the future! read more

To the point review. Pros: Delicious. Worth the wait. Cons: Long wait times. Crowded as hell. Here is a more in-depth review on the experience I had: Environment: Very easy to find location that's just about 3 miles away from the Arboretum. When you pull up, Randall's is not too far away from this joint. The parking lot is TIGHT with space so just a head's up. There are tables to sit outside at too. Inside: Wait times are crazy long. This is a popular joint for sure. Make sure to book in advance maybe about 1 hour to 2 hours ahead of heading here. It gets BUSY. Several booths, tables, and a bar to eat at too. Food and drinks: Big menu and a solid drink selection. Food was absolutely magnificent. I had to add a little bit of salt and pepper to my dishes but the flavors were amazing. Everything was thought out, and you can taste it. The fruits were fresh, eggs tasted great, and nothing was dry or bland (I just like salt). Price: The average dish comes out to be $13-$15 dollars. Portions are generous on my, "Am I getting my money's worth?" scale. Easy 4/5 for the scale. Repeat factor: Easy Y-E-S. Summary: Worth it. It does get packed but if you play it smart--this spot is excellent. My overall score with everything factored: 8.1/10. Worth the trip and the money. Not worth waiting in line for though because the food comes out fast but the tables get booked quickly, so make sure to book ahead to give yourself an easier time. read more

Nice brunch spot. I was visiting from out of town. The reviews where convincing. I was expecting a great experience. The food options are plentiful. I ordered the eggs benedict with lobster and it came with a grits options. The benedict was good. I did not realize there would be this thick potatoe hash brown patty on the bottom. That was a bit heavy. The flavor was good. I did feel as though it was quite a bit going on with it. The grits were creamy and kicked up with toppings that worked well together. My love had the cinnamon roll french toast. That was decadent and delish. The server brought out the biscuit beignets since this was our first time in. OMG they were so good, warm, airy and doughy at the same time. The marmalade was a nice touch for dipping. We had mimosas. One with cranberry juice, the other with strawberry purée. So refreshing and stout. Excellence experience and worth a try. read more

This is the best breakfast restaurant in Austin hands down. The quality of the food and portion sizes are definitely worth it. I've had quite a few things on the menu and have never been disappointed. Definitely try the mimosas. My only suggestion to check in online before you get their. Suzanne was a treat to have serve us, we brought friends for their first time and Suzanne brought us a free plate of Beignets for them to try! So sweet. She accommodated to every one of our requests with love, 5 stars for Suzanne! I ordered the hash brown benny, and unfortunately it came out cold, however it was promptly replaced and tasted delicious. Another broken egg is a super great place to grab brunch, just make sure you have a reservation as it can get pretty busy during peak hours. The server was kind, it took us a little while to receive our check at the end. My lemon blueberry pancakes were so delicious and flavorful, but the grits fell short since they were plain. Where are my brunch fanatics at? I recently came here and damn, they are one of my new favorites to go to. This isn't your typical brunch establishment - not only do they have a wide variety of breakfast classics, but they have some creative brunch dishes too such as: - Cinnamon Roll French Toast: Topped with cream cheese icing, rum butter sauce, and berries. - Banana Bread French Toast: Topped with brie cheese, sautéed apples, cinnamon, raisins and pecans, flambeed in orange liqueur and topped with fresh strawberries Both were great and you can't go wrong with either, just depends on which pastry you prefer. The cinnamon roll one was my absolute favorite! You can also get an order of biscuit beignets on the side which comes with a orange-honey sauce to dip in. You got to get this! Last, but not least: it's not brunch without a mimosa! They have over 6 flavors to choose from, so I went with Lemon Blueberry! Highly refreshing. All in all, I had an amazing time here. It's a laid back family environment, there's a huge selection to choose from, the service is great, and the food is too good. I give them a 5/5! read more

What a great find! I'm a big fan of breakfast food and this place did not dissapoint. The service was spectacular. From the moment we checked in and throughout the meal, everyone was friendly and accommodating. They brought me the wrong coffee, but before I could correct the mistake, they brought the correct order out. The main reason that this place did not get 5 stars is because our beignets were served on top of dirty plates that had egg on them. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict, my husband got the chicken and waffles and we got my son the rooster meal (eggs, bacon, fruit, biscuit). The food and drinks were hot and tasty. The potatoes side dish were delicious. Overall, a good family friendly breakfast spot that I'm happy to return to. read more

Wow. This place exceeded my expectations. A Cajun flare right here in Austin. Finally. We ordered the Mardi Gras omelette that came with the most delicious grits and a waffle on the side. The omelette was perfectly seasoned, with a large portion. The grits. Oh those grits. It had pieces of bacon -not bacon bits, real bacon and chives. YUmmmm. The service was absolutely impeccable and the outside seating made for COVID-friendly eating. There was a wait, but it was worth every minute. They'll see us again. Since it was a beautiful day we chose to sit outside, also we would be seated right away. Our server was Paul, very attentive and had a great pace to his service. I had the veggie omelet with goat cheese which you can order a small stack of indulgent pancakes for a low price, went with the bourbon cakes. My husband had the supreme omelette and it's was amazing, we both had potatoes as a side, they were good. Coffee was hot and my cup was never empty due to the amazing service that Paul was performing. Since it was our first time we were given a complimentary plate of hot beignets they were amazing! Food was good, price was good but the service was the best part! We will return and next time I have my eye on the Apple fritter French toast! Go see Paul! Been here twice now. Was excited to go back. This time on a weekday brunch vs. Saturday brunch and I can tell the difference. Last time on Saturday dishes tasted a bit better, fresher, hotter. Today many of our dishes were cold or warm. The biscuit beignets were a slight let down. Expected bigger and fluffier but today it was small doughy and dense. Was it cooked through? The Mardi gras omelette was better the first time I had it on a Saturday. Today was ok. Creamy. We got two different Benedicts and the hash brown one was heavy. The crab cake one was tasty. We got the Napoleon temptation and wow it was huge! No way someone can eat this on their own. It was nice and sweet. Layers of carbs lol last time we ordered the strawberry pound cake french toast. It was tasty. Wanted to try something different this time around. We also got the shrimp Benny last time too. Really liked that as well. L Overall it was a yummy experience. Glad we went back with different peeps. Just realized it tasted a bit better on the weekend. Both times our waitress was kind and attentive amidst the busyness. This time they sat us in the back maybe by the kitchen with a constant loud thumping noise behind my friend's head. It was comical and annoying at the same time lol Prices are reasonable for the portions they give. Many of the dishes come with a side of grits, fruit or potatoes, eggs, bacon or sausage. So they give a lot. Perfect to share. Cute little place where Mangia used to be in a nice neighborhood. Quaint. Oh my friends car got bumped while in the parking lot here though so be careful. But the person left a note. That's pretty nice of them but ahh yeah surprise! Happy to have tried and gone back! Worth a visit for brunch. read more

After being seated, I was not acknowledged by anyone. I was not offered a "good morning," water, coffee, or even asked if I needed anything. I sat at my table for approximately 15 minutes before I finally got up and asked to speak with a manager. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching customers who arrived **10-15 minutes after me** get acknowledged, served water, and offered coffee while I continued to sit there without any attention. The staff repeatedly walked past my table on their way to the kitchen. I noticed several of them look directly toward my table, yet no one stopped to acknowledge me or provide service. At that point, it was very difficult not to feel as though I was being intentionally overlooked. When I spoke with the manager, she explained that there were internal issues between the waitstaff that were contributing to the problem in my section. I understand that restaurants can have internal staffing challenges, but those issues should never become the customer's problem. Whatever was happening behind the scenes, I was the customer sitting there without service. I also want to be honest about something that made this experience particularly uncomfortable. I was the only person of my race that I noticed in the restaurant. I cannot say with certainty that race had anything to do with how I was treated, and I don't want to make an accusation without evidence. However, **I can say how the experience made me feel**. I felt ignored, overlooked, and singled out. Customer Service Index (CSI), customer satisfaction, and reviews are extremely important to businesses and their corporate offices. Experiences like this are exactly how a restaurant loses a customer who otherwise may have returned and recommended the establishment to others. I don't expect special treatment. I expect the same basic courtesy and level of service that every customer deserves: a greeting, acknowledgment, water, coffee, and reasonable attention after being seated. Unfortunately, that did not happen today, and it completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable breakfast experience. I hope management and the corporate office take this seriously--not simply as one unhappy customer's complaint, but as an opportunity to examine what happened, why it happened, and how situations like this can be prevented in the future.

I arrived on a Saturday morning at 8 AM, and the wait was not too bad. The restaurant's website has a waiting list, which helped ease the waiting process. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a lively and casual atmosphere that was both inviting and welcoming. The interior had a lovely country, rustic feel that added to the overall ambiance. The service was impeccable, and the staff exuded Southern charm. They were attentive, friendly, and made my dining experience all the more enjoyable. For my meal, I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, which consisted of jumbo lump crab cakes on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, andouille-infused hollandaise, red peppers, and green onions. While the crab cake was a bit on the salty side, the dish was pretty good overall. I also tried the Mardi Gras omelette, which was stuffed with crawfish and shrimp and came in generous portions. Sitting here, first time eating here. The selection is large, the food looks great. Wait times are long, but we got on the wait list and did most of our waiting at home. Cheyenne is our waitress today. She is very sweet, super nice, and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the Lemon Custard Stuffed French Toast, but didn't want the eggs/sausage that comes with it. She said since it's seasonal they can't just send the French Toast. Kinda frustrating, but it's not her fault. My husband and I wound up sharing an entree. The atmosphere is ok - it's a small building with a TON of people packed inside. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this is not it. Prices are a little high, but quality is great. Opting for classics like bacon, Belgian waffles, and a delightful medium roast Colombian coffee, we were impressed by the prompt service and the inviting atmosphere. I had an amazing experience at Another Broken Egg Cafe! The food was absolutely delicious--everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. From the first bite to the last, I could tell they put real care into their dishes. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service from Alayna. I had the most disappointing experience at the restaurant. Not only was the service incredibly slow, but the staff seemed indifferent to our concerns. To top it off, I realized I lost my favorite sunglasses during the visit, and when I asked if they had been found, they didn't show any interest in helping me locate them. I've gone to Heaven and I didn't even have to die! I've looked for Eggs Blackstone for years. Finally found them at Just Another Egg in Austin. Served with a smile and lots of Hollandaise Sauce. This place is hidden off Mesa good spot to have coffee and breakfast. The owner gives first timers some sweet donut holes w white powder sugar and jelly of some kind. The coffee is strong just the way I like it, my wife liked the coffee mugs said their cute. read more

During our visit, I was wearing a long white skirt when an accident happened--glasses were accidentally dropped next to me, shattering and spilling red liquid onto my skirt in several spots. The server sincerely apologized, and I asked for a Tide pen to try and clean the stains. She said she would check with her manager and come back, but unfortunately, she never returned to our table. Since the spill occurred before our food arrived, they didn't offer to clean my skirt or provide a discount. I tried to wash the stain out before it set, but I was still wearing a wet skirt.
