Fried okra

Amazing brunch. The food was delicious. The quiche was a highlight as was the biscuits with jam and the crawfish and grits. I'm not usually a huge biscuit fan but these were great. Loved the fish dip. Iced tea was very good too. You need a reservation. So glad we had one. We also really appreciated the hosts finding us a seat near a wall on request for our hearing aid using members. It can be very loud with the small space and be prepared to wait for food. The appetizers came out quickly though and the pastries we took home were superb. Parking lot is tiny but we found street parking in the neighborhood. We'll be back!

$28 for a slice of quiche is diabolical, even for austin :), but we enjoyed the restaurant though, hence the 5-star rating. I just won't order the quiche Next time. All of the pastries were phenomenal. I'll be back for them.

Birthday beignets

Decided to make a reservation for one for a solo birthday celebration. If you're coming on a Monday you definitely a reservation. I was sat at the bar which was nice as I got to meat new people and have exceptional service. The mussels and frites is such a great deal and a fun thing to do since the mussels are cooked different every week. Monday is also half price bottles of wine and they have several great options at very reasonable price points. Since they are a cafe I decided to get an espresso martini for dessert and it was made with tequila. I was surprised by the beignets coming out and also surprised by how good they are. They are airy and even reheat well at home! I will definitely be back on a Monday but also to try other menu items.

5/5 Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Vibes We came in 50 minutes before closing for the AYCE mussels Monday and really hoped we could eat at least 2 plates before the restaurant/kitchen closed. Though service started off slow because the place was packed, we were incredibly thankful of their patience and generosity soon after. They welcomed us (and another table of customers) to stay past closing to eat more mussels and get our fill as they cleaned up since it took a while to cook each plate. Not only that, their coconut, lime, and basil sauce was delicious! My partner slumped up the first couple plates before we continued downing fries and mussels again. We hope to come back again (and earlier next time)!

Mussels Frites Rosè wine

OK, so we saw this space school viral on Instagram about their muscles and Fritz happy hour. And it's unlimited of muscles and fries for $35 which was amazing. We definitely got a reservation because it did fill up while we were there. When I arrived, the hostess was so nice. Got me seated right away and our waiter was super attentive and patient with us because we're very picky on wine and let us sample what we liked and then we ended up getting a bottle because also the wine bottles were half off that evening. Let me tell you the muscles were delicious that sauce that they were in you can literally drink it like soup. And the french fries were so good too. They were literally addicting and you just wanted to keep eating more and more and more. I could tell you, me and my friends ordered about three rounds of muscles each. And the rosé wine that we got was so nice and definitely worth the price. As you've seen my video of the pastries, I ended up caving and getting to go a artichoke croissant and a ham and cheese croissant and OMG they were divine. You can tell everything is freshly bake there. This is definitely a place. I will keep coming back too because everything was so good about it.

Apple miso cruller

The apple miso cruller is AMAZING! I only picked up the pastry but it's also a really cute sit down place for brunch. The barista was sweet and gave good recommendations. Can't wait to go back to try another pastry!

This is easily one of the better restaurants in Austin. Especially for north of downtown. That said, I am giving it an emphatic 5 stars because I feel that some of the lower reviews on here are simply inaccurate or unjust. The food is divine and the consistency is impressive. The bar staff is extremely competent and can make a variety of amazing classic cocktails or their own. The servers go out of their way to be helpful, learn your name, get you seated, etc... Also, the baked goods are wildly delicious. 5/5 highly recommended.

Steak tartare and shrimp poboy
Mariel T.

Great little cafe for breakfast or brunch. Hits: -Steak tartare -Burger and frites -all of the pastries -latte with vanilla bean syrup Misses (specific to the tartare, which is still my favorite hit): -this last round, the gem lettuce that came with it was on its way out. -you have to order bread to go with it (necessary but delicious) Service was great.

Quiche, spinach artichoke croissant, cardamom bun, and strawberry danish
Vivian Y.

Such a cute bakery/eatery!!! The pasteries were to die for, and the servers were super sweet and helpful, with stopping by to check in to see if the food was good. The quiche was so good; it had Gruyère cheese along the sides and the flavors melded so well together. The pasteries were all so flaky, and the coffees were subtley sweet, making it pair well with the food!

Frites

Came for the $32 mussels and frites on Monday nights. Service is slow even at 5:15. Wasn't greeted by a server til about 5:30. The muscles and fries don't even come out together. You basically get one or the other at a time So you can't enjoy them together to dip the fries in the sauce. It took about 20 minutes to get a drink served from the time it was ordered. I was also seated at a family style table and I didn't notice until after I left that two drinks of the other half tables drinks were on my tab. meaning the party that didn't belong too, my group ended up buying two of their drinks. Water was never refilled until desserts and their water cups are like 2 sips big. Overall, the food is OK. the pistachio gluten-free ice cream sandwich I thought was better than the beignets. I know It's just fried dough, but I've had better beignets in Louisiana. These lacked a lot of flavor. Would I come back? probably not

Fantastic food and a cute cafe location. Parking is mostly street parking because of the small lot, but we had no issues finding a spot. The cafe was also not crowded when we went on a Saturday afternoon. Their brunch menu is fantastic! The breakfast sandwich was our favorite. Other standouts include their French onion soup and the beef tartare appetizer. And the potatoes! Those were my favorite- so unique Ive never seen potatoes cooked like that. Other highlight was the dessert. Fresh and hot- be sure to check out their incredible pastry assortment as well!

Bottomless mussels
Vittoria D.

Bottomless mussels have brought us here with friends more than once. We love the rotating sauces. The mussels and fries leave you satisfied, but there are other tasty options. Our friends had pasta and a giant chicken schnitzel Caesar salad. They also have a nice wine list - the Riesling our waiter recommended was the cherry on top. It's a cute space, unfortunately with how busy it gets in the bungalow, the place gets hot and stuffy. I also felt personally victimized by an insistent fly while seated inside. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food.

Tartar
Alan H.

Very cute little pastry restaurant! We ordered a decent spread for brunch and love the variety of food you can get we got beef tartar, potatoes, breakfast sandwich and burger. Everything was delicious but the burger was just average. The burger patties were tiny and lacked anything special to make it a good burger. The breakfast sandwich was good but the crispiness of the croissant was lost due to the grease. Tartar was creamy and we didn't get food poisoning so that's a plus! Potatoes were roasted beautifully tender but not crispy, never had roe with potatoes but there were a nice salty packets that paired well with the potatoes! Staff was extremely friendly and patient with us. Will be coming back for more!

This one was done nearly perfectly. It's a black sesame orange blossom latte topped with a coconut and cream cold foam. The cold foam was great, light, creamy, and properly sweetened but honestly, I would've loved the latte even without it. The balance of black sesame is excellent. You can actually taste it, while the orange blossom complements ut well. Definitely coming back here. The service was great too. I got to chat with two of the workers for a while about coffee, and they were both incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that in comparison to other coffee shops the space is very limited. There is a bit of bar style seating against the wall inside and a few chairs in the middle but no tables. Outside you do have I believe four small circle tables with two chairs at each.

I was at a nearby store when a customer was asking about any nearby coffee places and the store manager recommended Epoch Coffee. I travel down Far West Blvd. quite a lot and this coffee shop never stood out to me. According to my barista, the vanilla latte was most popular. Therefore, I tried that one. Initially, it was very strong. When I added lavender syrup, it tasted very good (I know a repeat experience from another coffee house). In addition, I ordered a biscuit with everything seasoning. The biscuit was crispy and flavorful...a great complement to my latte. There is plenty of free parking. In addition, there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. Several folks appeared to be doing work from the coffee shop. Apparently, they also do chair massages, which a nice perk while you are having a beverage or a bite to eat. In addition to having pastries, they also sale tacos and tamales. All in all, I was pleased with my dining experience at Epoch Coffee.

My friend Alyssa absolutely loves Summer Moon, it's her favorite place. For my recent birthday, she bought me a Summer Moon gift card. On 9/4/26, thanks to her I was able to see for myself why she loves it so much. The coffee is organically grown and roasted in an open flame brick roaster. Wow. You can totally taste that uniqueness in the blends. Holy poo, that Moon Milk is something else! It's a signature sweet cream that's like the icing on the liquid cake. Kinda literally. I ordered the Winter Moon Latte (iced): Velvet Blaze Espresso topped with Moon Milk. Absolutely delicious. Next time I'm going to check out another location to try the seasonal Iced Pumpkin Moon Latte. What I didn't realize until my visit is that it's a chain with locations in places like Arkansas, Kansas, Florida, and a few other states. Even though it's a chain, each one is locally owned. The outdoor patio is dog-friendly and that means the world to me. The interior design is modern and welcoming. Service is professional and friendly. Thanks, Alyssa!
