Employees were nice and the interior was nice. It was pretty busy around lunch so there weren't too many open seats, and it was quite loud so it wouldn't be the best place to do work. The pastries looked really good, and I got the roasted porchetta sandwich which was a bit too oily and fatty. It took a while to get my food (15-20 minutes probably) but I'm unsure if it's normal or if it was because of the lunch rush. Would probably go again but get a different sandwich or get some pastries.

Delicious pastries, beautiful interior, if I had more time in Austin, I would have been back to try more things. I got the ham and cheese focaccia which was yummy, pillowy bread baked with an egg inside. Their cinnamon rolls are massive, the laminations on the croissants are almost too pretty to eat. Highly recommend a visit, you will not be able to just get on. They use organic flour, no seed oils and all clean ingredients and make everything in house so you can feel good about yourself when you decide to order everything on the menu.

The hot new spot for a bakery in austin, and it's not hard to see why! Sugarwolf is a beautiful bakery downtown, full of natural light, plants and no laptops. Since opening, the line commonly wraps out the door on weekends, so if you want something specific come early. I arrived at 9am on a Sat and they had just sold their last almond croissant. But their other options such as the ham and egg focaccia didn't disappoint. Their matcha is very green before it's mixed with the milk, so I'd love to come back to try. Premium prices but for premium food.

Delicious but not quite worth the hype. Sugarwolf has been on my list to try since it opened. I finally got a weekend break from keto, and my husband knew it was the perfect time to take me there. We went Sunday afternoon, on July 5th. I figured they might be sold out of things, so I tempered my expectations. Fortunately when we got there they still had my favorites - croissants and one type of cookie (chocolate espresso, the last chocolate chip sold to the person before me. I couldn't choose, so got one of each. We sat to eat for a bit, and enjoy the bright modern space, but then had to continue walking to go to our next surprise (it turned out to be Beauty and the Beast at the State Theater.) The outside of the croissant was amazing, but the inside seemed surprisingly doughy. Or, maybe I shouldn't be surprised because big croissants mean the surface area that can get crispy is less in proportion to the total thing. The cookie was great, and kind of bittersweet as I expected. It was chewy in the center and crispy around the edges. However, it's maybe not as good as some that I've made. It was so rich that after I snuck it in the theater, it lasted me nibbling on it throughout the whole movie. If you're looking for a special place to stop for a treat downtown, consider Sugarwolf. If you're just looking for a tasty treat, you can probably find one just as good somewhere else for a better price and at a more convenient location.

3.8/5 The croissant looked very aesthetically pleasing and fluffy but wasn't as buttery as I wanted it to be. Some parts were dry. Cinnamon roll frosting was great and creamy, didn't taste artificial. That was probably my favorite. The cream onion was okay, but nothing too memorable. I couldn't taste the sesame in my sesame matcha but the drink was still decent and enjoyable. This place was quite pricey for just bakery items. They did have other breakfast items on the menu that I didn't get to try though. Pet friendly. Fun atmosphere inside and friendly staff.

They are a bakery and are known for their pastries however, I need to emphasize how good their coffee is!! It pairs perfectly with the pastries. You cannot wrong with anything that you order but the breakfast sandwich is a must have. The service is fast to the extend that they can as you order in the counter of the things that are available. Everyone is super nice.

This spot has been getting extreme hype so I decided to check it out - overall, pricey but high quality pastries. As other reviews say, the line can get pretty long but I waited no more than 10-15 min and came on a holiday morning. The everything pastry was definitely the front runner - buttery flaky layers popped with shmear and topped with fresh green onions. Cinnamon roll was pretty dense and sweet but inner part was fluffy and buttery. Probably would come back to try the coffee cube on off hours!

The cookies are ginormous. The matcha latte is decent but it's 80% full with big ice cubes (so really not much matcha), I specifically order d less ice but it's still pretty icy.

I tried this new coffee spot after hearing about their amazing pastries, and I can see why it's so popular--they even had a line out the door! I ordered the horchata nitro cold brew, and let me tell you, if you have a high tolerance for caffeine, this drink is for you! It was flavorful and delicious, but definitely a little too strong for me. We also ordered a few pastries to go and shared a ham and cheese croissant. Every bite was amazing--the pastries had the perfect crispy, flaky exterior with a soft and buttery center. The ham and cheese croissant was just as delicious and made for a great savory option. The ambiance was chic and modern, making it a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee or grab a few pastries on the go. I'd definitely come back, though next time I might opt for a less caffeinated drink!

Chocolate chip cookie was huge and delicious.

5/5 Sugarwolf is absolutely worth the hype. There was a line out the door when we arrived, but it only took about 15 minutes to get through and place our order. We got there a little too late for breakfast, but the lunch menu more than made up for it. The pastrami sandwich was excellent, and the croissant and everything bagel pastry with cream cheese were both fantastic. The coffee was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it's easy to see why this spot has become so popular. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Austin.

The influencers got me on this one. Pros: -line that might be long will move quickly -kept it pretty clean considering the amount of traffic that runs through there -no laptops!! -beautiful food -the bake on the savory items was good Cons: -smoked salmon was the saltiest salmon I've ever had and I love me a lox bagel so.... -there was egg (not listed on the menu) on the ham and cheese focaccia -dried out almond croissant -$15 for HALF a sandwich, that's nuts idc what u say Do with that what you will.

Best Latte I have ever had!! 10/10 would recommend. Latte: Smoked Raspberry Latte I would also recommend arriving earlier in the day because the line can go outside the door, but a relatively quick line.

Grand Opening: Today, May 5, 2026 Cinco de Mayo Sugarwolf is a new addition to downtown Austin (4th and Guadalupe). This great recommendation was made by a Yelp friend. Before she recommended Sugarwolf, I had not heard of this coffee and pastry shop. We decided to brave the crowd at 7 am. I arrived first and saved a place for my friend. Perfect timing as she arrived when it was our turn to go into Sugarwolf. First impression...modern, clean architectural lines with a modern flare. Floor to ceiling windows emit an abundance of light. The chandeliers are quite unique in that they look like Chinese lanterns yet appear to be made from a cheesecloth like material. The space is open and airy. One word...striking! The music playing in the background contributed to making this experience a whole vibe. Sugarwolf specializes in high quality pastries and coffee drinks. We both purchased cinnamon rolls (large, mutant cinnamon rolls...enough for three people). The bakery uses organic flour, butter, and a seed oil free kitchen. The flavor and texture was quite nice. My friend also got a croissant to go. She purchased a hot smoked raspberry latte with matcha and I purchased an iced smoked raspberry latte. Both were exceptionally prepared. Watching the bakers work with customer views of the kitchen was an appealing part of the culinary experience. Everyone in the shop was super friendly and helpful. Please note the coffee shop is on the pricier side, but well worth the investment. Metered street parking is available nearby. Love new coffee shops and bakeries...yes I'm back on coffee. I lasted one day without coffee...smile.

Compared to Caphein, Dam has a more relaxed vibe with additional seating, which makes it a great place to hang out or get some work done. I noticed it's also a popular study spot for students, so a few extra outlets would be a nice touch. That aside, every matcha I've ordered here has been amazing in both flavor and consistency. The matcha taste actually comes through, and the drinks never feel too watered down or overly sweet. Overall, Dam is easily staying at the top of my Austin matcha list and is a spot I'd keep coming back to.
