The Moon Milk is delicious. I have no idea what is in it (7 ingredients?! What could be in there besides cream and sweetener? I need to know!) - I got the cold brew with Moon Milk in it and I downed the entire drink in 2 minutes. It was so yummy. How bad was that for me? Or how not bad for it was me? I will never know. The interior has brick walls and is cozy. Loved the little wall booths with forward facing outlets for working. The staff are upbeat and enthusiastic.

Summer moon latte and mocha moon

My sister was so excited to have Summer Moon and it was the first stop we made when we landed in Austin. And I understand why! They make their lattes with their own moon milk. Not sure what is in it but it's like crack! Their staff was nice. I got the mocha moon and it was like drinking chocolate milk. My sister got their summer moon and that was very good too. We went back the next day and my sister got the mocha milk half moon which means half sweet. But since it's already very sweet, it was a fair amount of sweetness. I got the autumn moon latte, it was like an autumn in a cup. Very good! The location had some parking but inside there were a couple of tables to hangout.

Prices are very reasonable. They have a house made moon milk which is a caramel flavored. Their coffee is good, lattes are not too sweet if you get the quarter moon latte. My husband got the cold brew with a splash of the moon milk. We came here every day on a trip to see family, it was very close to our hotel. We are definitely fans.

Loved this coffee! We visited when touring apartments and were one of the first customers on an early Sunday visit. The menu is very overwhelming for a first time customer. The menu shows quarter moon latte, half moon, etc. We asked about the moon lattes and then were instructed about moon milk. I told them I usually get dairy free and they said they have dairy free moon milk. My boyfriend ordered a latte and they said it was half dairy free moon milk and half dairy moon milk. We were totally lost! LOL. We just wanted lattes, but were intrigued by the house made sweetened milk. I don't even really know what I got, but the coffee was good. I also enjoyed their blueberry yogurt parfait and vegan blueberry donut that I took to go. We bought a bag of coffee beans before leaving and they gave us 2 extra pounds for free because they were overstocked on it. Super friendly service. Now we are better prepared for our next visit. I loved the oak smoked coffee - so unique and super smooth. Loved it and can't wait to go back!

Summer moon coffee is known for their "moon milk", a type of sweet creamer they use in their coffees. Their coffee naming is really cute and creative. You can get "Summer Moon" in hot or iced, which is the full sweetness. If you want something less sweet, there's Half Moon which is their most popular option, or quarter and three quarters moon. All options also come in hot or iced. I'm a "not too sweet" type of person, so I'd go get the quarter moon option next time. Service was fast, and seating is available.

I really really wanted to like this place because of the great reviews. It was my first time here, and the baristas were super nice and explained to me about the moon drinks. I got a half wintermoon. It was still really too sweet, but I just didn't enjoy the taste as well. She told me to let her know if I like it, but I didn't know what else to get, so I stayed with it. It was a cool place and nice vibe, but I should have stuck with regular plain coffee.

Coffee was amazing!! Staff was very helpful on what to pick and even advised their personal preference. The ambiance was very relaxed and focused. My boyfriend who does not enjoy coffee really liked the wintermoon!

I'm always in the mood for summer moon - and wish they would expand to the Carolinas! I noticed it was about a mile from the Airbnb and decided to brave the heat. Totally worth it! I get the white cold brew. They also had taco deli breakfast tacos (YUM) so I had to snag one. The line moved consistently, and I was able to find a spot to sit and read and sip my drink. The set up makes sense - door on the right in the corner if you're facing the building - with the line forming as you walk in and merch to look at while you wait. There are spaces to sit to your right once inside. It's good for singles or small groups. Additionally there is outdoor seating and a little window if you ordered ahead. Dogs allowed - always a win!

Discovered Summer Moon while in Austin and we went back 3x during our weekend trip. I don't drink super sweet drinks, so I ordered the quarter winter moon and it was perfect. I'm not sure what they put in their moon milk, but it was pretty much crack. I'm assuming some variation of condensed milk. I love the coffee shop vibes, the staff, quick service, and of course, the coffee. I'm so happy they have a location in Houston, although a bit far from me!

Matcha latte oat milk extra matcha no ice cream- add lavender syrup

Locations are convenient- they are known for their full moon drinks. This is a more creamy, thick, and rich version compared to just milk based coffee/matcha. It has more depth and was tastier. I like that everything is customizable depending on if you want milk alternatives, extra pumps of anything, ect. Price point is higher than average but it's the specialty of the drink. I got the full moon matcha -extra matcha, Oatmilk & the second time I got a regular matcha - extra matcha , oat milk, and add lavender syrup. When tasting it, they forgot the syrup... but they happily fixed the drink for me. There always seems to be a line here & I can see why. Coffee wait times can be long however. They have a selection of baked goods and most are vegan/dairy free which I thought was interesting.

I've heard about this place for quite a while and it's a cute shop with great coffee! I ordered the "Winter Moon Iced 16oz Coffee" and it was superb. I was not expecting the sweetness of this drink, but nonetheless it was a nice treat. There is also a neighboring building where you can casually work in! Would come again! Cheers

Ask the Community - Summer Moon Coffee

Is there parking at the location or nearby?

There is a very small parking lot but a resident street next to it that usually has parking.

On Thursdays, is it packed between 6:00pm - 10:00pm? Trying to do a group project for about 2-3 hours.

This place looks like such a vibe but is there coffee really good? I love coffee so i can be pretty picky when it comes to it. If anyone has tried their Iced almond milk latte (assuming they sell it there) please let me know if you recommended it.

I had their iced almond latte on multiple occasions and it was definitely one of the best I've had! You should definitely check them out!

Is this the same as the frisco location?

It is similar! Both amazing. (Actually like this location better)

    Do they have butter coffee?

    Nope

But I tried my 3rd package of Little City coffee, (shipped from this address on their website) and though good coffee, it is simply not a dark enough roast for my espresso. I tried Messenger Espresso the first time, many months ago and was underwhelmed. The beans were just not dark enough, shiny enough nor oily enough for the sort of espresso shot I like to pull. They made perfectly passable drip coffee in a pour-over, but I am a 99% espresso guy. Recently I took advantage of a 20% discount and rapid delivery (next day! Arrived on Monday, ordered Sunday!) to try the two darkest roasts offered, Grackle and Republic. Again, passable drip coffees, but not able to produce the thick rich crema and distinctive oily mouthfeel and toasted flavor notes I was looking for. Great fast to the door delivery and good prices (though for a 12oz package, compare carefully) and as I noted, pretty good coffee, but I will return to the Italian espresso (occasionally mixed 75/25 with French Roast) from my usual roaster Anderson's to feed my Gaggia Classic Pro.

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.

I ordered a hot latte with hazelnut and initially, a cinnamon roll and raspberry apricot kolache. The latte was flavorful, warm and enjoyable to drink. Based on my server's recommendation, the cinnamon roll was the most popular item. In fact, he said that folks come to Austin just to try this cinnamon roll. He did forewarn me that it was a little salty and he was absolutely correct. The icing felt oily and lacked true cinnamon roll flavor. So, I traded that cinnamon roll in for a Dubai chocolate croissant (paid the difference in price). While the croissant tasted better than the cinnamon roll, the layers were tough and a bit spongy to eat. The kolache's flavor was good and I like the combination of fruit flavors. With that said, the bread was hard...unlike German kolaches. Prices are on the high end of price spectrum. The bakery has both indoor and outdoor seating. The teal color emits a Zen feel.
