Great, fast, and friendly staff here always and is one of the reasons why I continue to come back here. Products range from whole bean coffee to even offering boxes of their roasted and branded K-cups and sweatshirts/merch. In my opinion, if there is a line there is a reason why. Any wait is well-worth it whether you are waiting to order a coffee to-go or waiting for a good spot to plop down and read or work. The vibes here are super cool and relaxing. My sister was so excited to have Summer Moon and it was the first stop we made when we landed in Austin. And I understand why! They make their lattes with their own moon milk. Not sure what is in it but it's like crack! Their staff was nice. I got the mocha moon and it was like drinking chocolate milk. My sister got their summer moon and that was very good too. I understand that you may not have heard someone use that term before, but making faces and speaking to me in a rude tone was unnecessary. As someone working in a coffee shop, it's important to be familiar with different coffee terms. "Soft top" is a real term--it's just not commonly used at Summer Moon, and I wasn't aware of that. Regardless, customers should be treated with respect. For reference, soft top and cold foam are both sweet, frothed toppings for coffee, but they differ in richness and texture. Loved this coffee! We visited when touring apartments and were one of the first customers on an early Sunday visit. The menu is very overwhelming for a first time customer. The menu shows quarter moon latte, half moon, etc. We asked about the moon lattes and then were instructed about moon milk. I told them I usually get dairy free and they said they have dairy free moon milk. My boyfriend ordered a latte and they said it was half dairy free moon milk and half dairy moon milk. We were totally lost! LOL. We just wanted lattes, but were intrigued by the house made sweetened milk. I don't even really know what I got, but the coffee was good. I also enjoyed their blueberry yogurt parfait and vegan blueberry donut that I took to go. I'm always in the mood for summer moon - and wish they would expand to the Carolinas! I noticed it was about a mile from the Airbnb and decided to brave the heat. Totally worth it! I get the white cold brew. They also had taco deli breakfast tacos (YUM) so I had to snag one. The line moved consistently, and I was able to find a spot to sit and read and sip my drink. The set up makes sense - door on the right in the corner if you're facing the building - with the line forming as you walk in and merch to look at while you wait. There are spaces to sit to your right once inside. It's good for singles or small groups. Additionally there is outdoor seating and a little window if you ordered ahead. I didn't feel like I tasted any pumpkin spice vibes (and not sure if I was or not suppose to) but we all know that pumpkin hype and we certainly don't want it to come from the green mermaid cups. I felt the bottom had a chalky taste and the powder was not completely dissolved or shaken correctly so this was not as appealing. The half moon latte was a hot bubble tea drink just without the bubbles. Like a taro hot milk sort or drink with a brown sugar, white chocolate vibe. Not exactly sure what this secret recipe is. It was nice and I found myself sipping and sipping away. What I didn't like is that it's over 95 degrees and you come in to sit for a moment after walking in the heat to recharge and enjoy and EVERYONE in the cafe is on their work laptop and they don't even have a beverage in their hand anymore. Disappointing for those that just purchased a beverage and no where to sit. It's strange when people turn the cafes into an office without regarding others. Would be nice if at least the outside chairs had some umbrellas. The chairs were all in beating sun. The woman was very friendly and warm when we came in. We got the iced winter moon latte and the java chip moon glacier which both had just the right amount of sweetness to coffee ratio. The moon milk they use is so creamy! The coffee beans they use had no bitterness at all either. We had to make multiple stops back during our trip. The vibe is a cute quiet cafe vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, parking may be a little tight as there are a few spots and other shops in the same lot. However during the times when we went the line to order was no longer than 2 people and the drinks were made quickly.
