Stopped by Praxis Coffee Roasters for a Cap10K coffee run. The coffee shop was hosting the run and it started and stopped from the shop. They directly source and roast elite coffees from around the world. This shop is located in an old historical home that was relocated from Rainey street. The space is very vintage and they have an amazing outdoor space that was perfect for hosting an event. My phone charge was low and the staff was super friendly and allowed me to charge my phone behind the counter before the run. Overall, Praxis is a great spot if you're looking for high-quality coffee and a great place to hang out. Can't wait to try options from their menu. read more

Checked this spot out recently on a Saturday morning and had a great experience. There was plenty of street parking and a lot of tables open. It's a really cute house that was converted into a coffee shop and it has a really homey rustic feel. I would definitely recommend this place if you want some more quiet to hang out, read, or work. I tried the sweet cardamom latte and it was delicious. The pastries were a bit overpriced in my opinion, but are from sour duck market and were tasty! read more

I think the coffee tastes great, but it's ridiculously expensive. I think their to-go cups are very cheap for their price. I asked for extra hot and it was closer to cold. Maybe next time I'll quadruple emphasize "extra hot." I'm giving a 4 because I do believe their coffee flavor is great, or else I would have given a 3. Ambience is great, relaxing. Plenty of sunny spots and shady spots to your liking. read more

Interesting coffee shop to hang out. We realized at the end that there were some outdoor seats as well. The Barista was friendly but she kept forgetting what we ordered and I'm not sure if there was any lavender syrup in my latte. The coffee tasted fine I just couldn't taste any flavor. We will probably try this place again to check out the outdoor seating. read more

Great first experience at Praxis. Went on a cold December Tuesday morning, so I couldn't quite take advantage of the beautiful outdoor spaces that this coffee shop offers, but the inside was plenty cozy for our needs! We happen to arrive during the daily 11am-12pm "cappy hour," and we therefore gladly grabbed a couple of $3 cappuccinos! The drinks were crafted promptly, and tasted amazing. It is clear that Praxis cares about their coffee, and the baristas are experts at what they do! We really enjoyed coworking here. It was quiet and conducive to getting good work done, but it also felt warm and welcoming to quiet conversation. Definitely looking to returning during better weather! read more

A lot of my engagement on here has to do with work from home cafe's. This is a nice option: good WiFi, vibey interior that is chill with a vintage home feel, and decent coffee. I haven't had the espresso but the cold brew was good. I wish their seating was a little more comfy for those wanting to plop and work like me lol. But overall good spot. read more

What a lovely coffee spot and very much true to Austin is weird vibe which I love. Located inside of Lustre, this coffee shop in a converted bar/old house is a great find. There is free WiFi and ample patio seating with shade (and dog friendly!). Inside there are three rooms with 4-5 2 people table and loved the feel of being in an older maybe Victorian- style house. There are outlets near the wall if you are looking for place to study. There is plenty of free parking as it is located in a neighborhood. Coffee wise my husband who is a coffee snob loved the coffee - he loved his cold fermented coffee pour over (I am not quite sure what I typed there but that's the drink he got). Cutest little coffee spot! We came on a whim and were very pleased with our experience. This spot is located in front of a few local bars and has plenty of parking. It has a limited menu so it's not too hard to choose. They also have a ridiculous amount of options when it comes to what kind of milk you want in your coffee - thank goodness! My office relocated to the area and I'm so glad to have this amazing coffee shop nearby! The cortado is so good, and I've also had their iced coffee for a late afternoon boost. They have tons of outdoor seating and great wifi. A fantastic place to meet up with friends, or get a little work done outside! read more

Chai tea was a little bland, didn't have much flavor. The croissant I got was very underwhelming and slightly stale and I see in the closet it's just from HEB. They also don't have a toaster so the croissant was room temperature. Cost like $10 for a croissant and small chai tea. The guy at the counter was nice. read more

I went to Praxis because I had a day off, was a little hungover, and I really just wanted a good coffee. I went there and asked for a pour over. I was given several options on roasts available, and I can't remember which one I went with, as this was a week ago, but wow, that was one of the best pour overs I've had. The whole experience was wonderful. Mark was obviously a very experienced barista and educated me on their roasts as well as the free coffee tastings they offer on Wednesdays at noon. I look forward to making it to one of those at some point! I will definitely be back, as it's become one of my favorite spots in Austin. read more

This place was amazing - from the location, next to Lustre Pearl, to the house, service, and coffee. This was such a nice treat after visiting another popular coffee shop the day before. The ambiance, friendliness, and music offered its guests an inviting and welcoming visit. I did not want to leave. Because of all this, I returned the next day with my partner and friends. They felt exactly the same about it. Looking forward to a future visit when I am in town again. read more

Praxis Coffee certainly knows how to make a memorable cup. Their offer of a free drip coffee when you buy a bag of beans is a nice touch. Very interesting coffee menu with some interesting alternative drinks focused on CBD. Not my thing but looks fun for anyone interested in the benefits of CBD. So Good, super friendly cool location with a equal cool story and vibe. Barista, Holden was Onpoint. Great knowledge and love of coffee and the process. Had my go to Cortado, and a Pour-Over. A hidden gem in East Austin! I love this place. The coffee is perfect! I ordered a mocha latte and it was just perfect, not too sweet. Firs time here! Came across this place because it was a stop on our strolly rides. This place was cute, it's an old house retired into a coffee shop. Radio Rosewood wants to keep the party going all day and late into the night, offering food outside of "goes with coffee" and a beautifully appointed bar. The featured coffees here are roasted by their own RCB Roasters, and my selection was their Ethiopian Guji, promising some nice acidity and brightness from its lighter leaning roast profile. Kid friendly, pet friendly backyard. This is gonna be my new favorite spot! Sounds like coffee based cocktail drinks are in the works, so excited to try one when they get rolling!
