Great spot for drinks and dog friendly!! I love the mangonada margarita and my husband love the cosmic echoes beer The tacos were good but unfortunately the meat and tortilla was cold when we got the food Salsa / chips and queso guac combo was really good and great price Service is self order for the tacos - super simple but order at bar for drinks Plenty of outdoor seating - not too much of an indoor space Parking lot available and street parking too

Great place to chill and have drinks! They offer a variety on alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. A variety of coffee drinks were available, and adjacent is a spot to order tacos, nachos etc We came to chill. They have a spacious outdoor space, a natural water/green feature, and an outdoor upstairs seating area for views. Fun music playing overhead. We sat for a bit to chat before we headed for dinner.

Cosmic Saltillo is such a vibe. They had a live DJ when I went on a Saturday, which added great energy. I was greeted by the staff who were super nice. The drink menu has a nice mix of coffee and alcoholic options. I tried the Banana Cloud Cold Brew. I'm usually not a fan of banana flavors, but this one was smooth and not artificial at all. Plenty of seating and space to hang out, work, or study. My friend and I had such a great time, we ended up getting tacos there as well. Before we knew it, we had spent 4 hours there!! Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

This is definitely a spot to check out if you're in the area. The outdoor space is beautiful and perfect for letting kids or dogs explore supervised. I love spending time here and decompressing. As for the coffee itself, I wouldn't necessarily say it's the reason I come. The drinks are okay--more on the sweet, syrupy, and creative side if that's your thing. They do make a lot of cocktails and specialty alcoholic beverages, so I can see how that's a big plus for coming in the evening. I tend to strictly come in the morning and opt for a cortado and a taco from the taco shop onsite. The taco spot is pretty awesome--they make their tortillas in house and the staff is super friendly. Heads up, for those looking for authentic aguas frescas--you won't get them here as they use a syrup base form the bar for the drinks. They do offer elote in a cup and some other treats at times. 4/5 for ambience and tacos.

When you've got that friend or family member coming in for the weekend, Cosmic Saltillo is the best choice for the following: 1. Outdoor breakfast tacos with the family (strollers & pets accepted) 2. Guys brunch at a picnic table 3. A rehash of last night with your best friend at the bar 4. The first stop for suburbanites who've come in town for the day The food menu is limited but the cocktail list has got something for everyone. It's beautiful and eclectic so great for photos. There's a parking garage around the corner and there's limited paid street parking.

This place was such a vibe! It's a tucked away gem among this street. Plenty of random parking near by, but as usual in Austin it was an adventure to find a spot. This is a bar slash cafe with food offerings. I didn't eat anything but my coffee was very good! They have lots of add on options as well. It honestly felt like I was in Vegas at the bar, and a patio garden ish area outside. I will be back!

The seating area here was BEAUTIFUL!! We went mid-day on Sunday and the vibes were high -- DJ was playing some jams, drinks were top tier with a lot of variation and very very reasonably priced. I will definitely visit this place again next time I am in Austin

What a nice addition to the East side. The staff is super friendly and provided quick service on a busy Sunday. Our cold brew was icy and strong. The outdoor patio is colorful with plenty of seating, but be careful to check the seat when you sit! There are several birds in the area. My only critique is the music piped in was very loud for an outdoor patio and I had to lean in to hear my friend.

There are so many spaces to try in Austin, but the one I have been dying to check out is Cosmic Saltillo off East 4th Street. Last weekend, with a group of friends, we all ventured to Cosmic Saltillo to check it out. Immediately, the space is extremely welcoming. The outdoor area feels like a peaceful garden with a small fountain, a stream, and wooden picnic tables and benches. Inside is the bar where the menu is filled with custom cocktails on tap and plenty of other options as well. We settled in on the upstairs balcony with a perfect view of Downtown Austin and the CapMetro Rail. There are quite a few tables up there and we were lucky to get one right as it opened up. As for the drinks, I started with their Nitro Espresso Cocktail which is a way of saying it is kinda basically sorta maybe an Espresso Martini. It was great. Next I drank a Coors Banquet to offset it, but their draft and bottled beer selection as a whole is great with some specific Cosmic collabs with local breweries. After that, I had their Frozen Boozy Coffee which is served in a special paper cup that looks eerily similar to the Wendy's logo. Once you try it, it is not a frozen hot chocolate. It is a boozy frosty and it is amazing. Lastly, I had a beergarita which is a margarita built on Vacancy Brewing's Super Agave lager and it was also fantastic. The nighttime atmosphere at Cosmic Saltillo is great especially if you are with great company like I was, but I can only imagine a Saturday afternoon being even better since the space is so welcoming and cozy. They have a full espresso and coffee bar and a taco joint but I tried neither. I will be coming back to Saltillo with a group because it is a great spot in a good area of Austin. The balcony feels like a cheat code with how it overlooks Cosmic itself and the Austin skyline. RIYL: Wendy's Chocolate Frosties if they were made with mezcal and tequila.

TL;DR: Would 100% come back here for drinks with friends! Would not order food here again though. Drinks: The cocktails here are affordable and delicious! I ordered the Tequila Mangonada and would definitely order it again. They are generous with the tajin, and the mango flavor is definitely there. Food: Right next to the main establishment/seating area, there is a connected restaurant where you can get tacos. They were pricy at $5 each and unfortunately not as filling as I would have liked. Flavor is good, but I think my overall experience with the food felt mediocre. Ambiance: The outdoor seating area is really the selling point of the whole place. I loved how much shade and greenery there was on the first level: there was even a little fountain! My friend and I ended up going up to the second floor to drink since the first floor was already pretty filled and had music playing, and it is a nice experience up there too. There is plenty of seating, and you can get a nice view of the skyline too.

Cosmic is truly one of the coolest places I've ever been to. The PERFECT place to enjoy the sun on a good weather day. There are PLENTY of tables and seating, upstairs and downstairs. Great for big groups and small. I got two tacos while I was there. The brisket & egg + the al pastor. They were both beautiful in presentation and good in size. In terms of taste though, neither blew me away. Nevertheless, I would definitely come back. You don't come for the food, you come for the vibe, and the vibes are IMMACULATE.

    Ellie N.

Very cute beer garden in the heart of austin. The upstair seating area offers a great view of sunset, however, the tacos restaurant is right downstairs and the kitchen ventilation system points directly to us, so we were getting smoked with tacos smell the whole time.

I've heard great things about Cosmic Saltillo from all of my Austin friends. They recommended it for for coffee, for frozen drinks, for tacos... and even the occasional yoga popup. Glad I finally went. I went with one of my besties, and we went straight to the bar to order a frozen (and boozy) drink. The bartenders are friendly and let me sample a few bevs. I decided on the frozen matcha (and added rum); my gal pal got the "Boozy Coffee" served in a Wendy's-esque cup. If you're hungry, walk across the bar over to the taco bar located in a separate small building on the same bar grounds. The tacos were good - the tortillas tasted homemade - they were a good size, authentic flavor, not greasy, not salty... and spicy salsas.. The showstopper here are the vibes. It's like a bohemian backyard with a lot of lush plant life, canopy shades, water features to drown out the sound of the metrorail. Love that they don't do plastic cups and use eco-friendly straws. They do have a small parking lot and there's some street parking (metered).

The venue itself has a lively, open feel with an urban backyard vibe and plenty of space to move around, mingle, and actually take in the installation without feeling crowded. What stood out most was how well the space complemented the event. The layout made it easy to engage with the installation while still enjoying the social vibe. They had space for working virtually as well as displays to test some of the technology. There's a nice balance between indoor comfort and that signature rooftop-style setting, which gives it a relaxed but elevated feel. The staff was friendly and kept things running smoothly, and the overall setup felt thoughtfully organized. Whether you were there to focus on the installation or just take it in casually, the environment supported both. The line was somewhat long to get into the event as it was at capacity and could only allow more people as people were leaving the event. I was given a drink ticket and got to try the Patio Pounder with ilegal mezcal, primo aperitivo, tropical citrus, coconut, grapefruit soda. The bartender was efficient even though the lines were long. The cocktail was enjoyable with the balance of smoky and citrus flavors. They also had a variety of food bites available including chips and queso. creamy street corn, and sliders. The food was gone relatively quickly due to the crowds but it would be replenished periodically. Overall, Upstairs at Caroline proved to be a solid venue for a creative SXSW event versatile, welcoming, and very on-brand for Austin's arts and tech scene.

One small room had the bar and an appetizer spread laid out, and another room had the dance floor with a DJ. I liked the different areas to mingle and hang out. The reception dinner was held in the back courtyard area, which was beautifully done with lights and great ambience. However the ground is a bit uneven back there, so I was slightly tilted on my chair throughout dinner. That was a little annoying and could be limiting for those with mobility or balance issues. Christina also confirmed this in her review, you HAVE to use one of MOYA's vendors. So sorry, Christina, for your horrible experience at Springdale Station, and for getting ripped off. We ALSO definitely do NOT recommend Springdale Station! Honest review for those considering this as a venue: The indoor space is very SMALL. It is not a good location for a large amount of guests. You will find three rooms inside (one with some stairs that are required to access it). The foyer serves as one of these rooms, so once you make it through the line to get inside, you are inside one of the three small rooms! The event we attended was very crowded and everyone was bumping into each other. Again, in OUR experience, this is NOT a good venue for a large group of people. The outside has a very small patio, with a LARGE amount of dirt. Definitely not a good location for anything even slightly dressy. Something casual, cowboy-like, perhaps a kids' casual party...those might work. The dirt area is large. (And VERY dirty!) We came home with dirt up to our calves. Gross! Keep this in mind, and check this out thoroughly before signing any contract with Moya. Buyer beware!!! Outside seating on the small patio was extremely limited. Literally only ONE sofa. Moya needs to addressed this. Would be nice if guests could actually sit down. Ridiculously inhospitable! We have attended several events in Austin, this one is only suitable for a super casual OUTDOOR event. (And hopefully it is priced accordingly...). Again, please prepare to get dirty if the weather is dry, and if it rains you will have muddy shoes. If you wear any type of heel, you will sink into their wet mud. Again, this is another item that Moya still needs to address. (Hello? GREATLY enlarge that tiny patio!). Good grief. Last issue - parking. Many other reviewers have also mentioned this. The parking lot was large, but it was (is) shared by other businesses so finding an actual parking spot was very difficult. Highly recommend if you have to go to Springdale Station that you use a taxi, (etc.) to get there and back. Again, research thoroughly before committing. There are so many other decent venues in Austin, we don't know why anyone would pick this one!

We actually got married a month prior in MA, but needed to celebrate the occasion with all our friends who live here with us in TX. This event space was perfect for a party on a budget. The view- I mean, come ON, was just incredible, and the backdrop for everyone's photos! People could not stop talking about how phenomenal it was. The process of getting the place was a bit tricky, as I could not navigate their government website to select the date and missed the cut-off time before having to do the lottery. Luckily, not a lot of people were begging for dates in August as the venue does not have air conditioning- so the heat was a bit brutal (but that's Texas!)- but we got it no problem! I ended up calling and the person I spoke to was very helpful. Speaking of air conditioning- or lack-there-of- we ended up renting some swamp coolers (huge cooling fans that run off of ice- but a LOT of ice!!) to help with the heat. There are ceiling fans and a few industrial fans included- but those don't help too much in August! I had a hard time figuring out what exactly we needed- so I'm going to add a quick "plug" for Preferred Climate Solutions our of Hutto, TX. They worked ZPC before and knew how to set things up. Brett even had an extra swamp cooler from an earlier event he let us use. Moving on- because this place doesn't require use of specific vendors- it made it that much affordable. We hired Slab BBQ to cater and Pixster photo booth for fun. For drinks, we filled out the necessary paperwork (some cheap $10ish permit? I can't quite remember) and we're able to just bring in a few kegs and boxes of wine from PartyBarn. Everything went off without a hitch! Good to note- the place provides a bunch of tables. Two huge round ones, a few smaller round and rectangle ones, and some nice cocktail tables we used on the patio. (The cocktail tables and one rectangular were good enough condition to go without tablecloths- the rest require coverings.) For lighting- it was definitely important to us to get string lights on the patio. I realized last minute that getting a few hundred feet of lights was going to be trickier than I initially thought- since I had to consider ones that connected and could manage the power of 300 ft of lights. I used Americanpartylights.com- it worked out great! They included zip ties which is important since it's against the park rules to use tape (holds better anyways.) I found a great diagram of ZPC patio for the light arrangements and measurements (photo included.) It was a perfect celebration and I HIGHLY recommend this space for any event! It has such a cool vibe even without decorations, your set up can be minimal and still look amazing. Plus... that VIEW!

Pro tip: If you're someone who loves a visually aesthetic experience and wants a place to snap a few pics before the rush, go early like we did. Can't wait to return!
