    Blue majik latte
    Marlee S.

Stopped by for a coffee while walking around South congress area and so glad we did! I got the Blue Majik latte, and it was seriously so good. I don't really know what is in blue majik, but it tasted great and I loved the fun color. The store is really cute and has lots of fun things to look at. The staff was very friendly too and chatted with me while I waited for my drink!

How have I lived Austin TX so long and had not discovered Maaribu!? Maaribu is modern, cool and eclectic coffee shop and store where you can have the most delicious cup of coffee along with a pastry or bite. Every piece in the store appears to be intentionally curated. Maaribu melds a home and gift shop with an in house café and bakery, creating an experience that's both relaxing and memorable. According to Mable, my server, Maaribu is a combination of the word Marfa (Texas town that has the Prada store) and Malibu. The brand is often described as combining Marfa's creative spirit, Malibu's laid back lifestyle, and clean Scandinavian design. The shop portion of Maaribu is beautifully styled, featuring furniture, décor, books, and gifts that have a modern flare. All the items are easy to peruse and get drawn in. The use of color is playful and engaging. Maaribu's key highlight is its café and bakery. The in house café has an assortment of coffee, wellness beverages, and dedicated gluten free baked goods. I bought a Rose honey latte, which was divine along with a multi-layer pastry. Mable said customers enjoy the quality and flavor of the pastries...scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, and egg bites are frequent favorites. Importantly, the café is reported to be fully gluten free, which makes it a standout destination for people with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, without sacrificing taste or variety. The outdoor seating and patio area add to the charm, making Maaribu a great place to enjoy coffee and pastries on a nice Austin morning. After years in Austin, I finally discovered Maaribu--a modern, eclectic coffee shop and store. Every item is thoughtfully curated, blending a home-and-gift shop with a café and bakery for a relaxing experience. The name combines Marfa's creative vibe, Malibu's laid-back style, and Scandinavian design. The shop offers stylish furniture, décor, books, and gifts, all easy to browse and visually engaging. Maaribu's café is fully gluten-free, featuring quality pastries like scones, muffins, cookies, brownies, and egg bites, as well as wellness drinks and coffee. Outdoor seating makes it a perfect spot to enjoy coffee and pastries on a pleasant Austin morning. Wow...Maaribu!!!

Really cool place and great service. Stumbled upon here during a walk got myself a honey something or another latte which was really good. Definitely recommend the scone and if you have time to spend some time, looking around the little store little cool stuff.

Are you kidding me? Why have I not visited here until today? Shame on me indeed. Cutest little coffee shop and gift boutique with exquisite optionality. Good parking for S.1st. The coconut cupcake is a scrumptious sweet but not too sweet delight and the mushroom coffee is perfection. Cupid's arrow hit me today. Love this place.

Adorable w great drinks and sweets! Lavender Matcha and the rose latte both amazing. And the almond bar thing, delish!

Maaribu has quickly become one of my favorite coffee shops in Austin. It's consistently delicious every time. I order an iced latte with oat milk and vanilla syrup with light sweetness. Parking is easy out front (one reserved for to-go orders as well). Friendly staff as well.

Maaribu is the ultimate shop. You'll find skin care, home decor, and a cute coffee shop with drinks and gluten free sweets. I loved working my way through the shops wonderful smells and beautiful textures. I did also stop by the coffee shop to order a chai. The drink wasn't my favorite chai, but I did appreciate the high quality ingredients the chai was made with! Overall: Maaribu is such a fun concept. Check it out the next time you're on South 1st Street.

Ok so this place is not represented correctly... yes, it is a beautiful home goods store... AND a full on, legit, 100% gluten free pastries and coffee shop! I wish I took pictures of the counter (someone please do). So I'm visiting Austin and absolutely struggling to find GF locations!!! And these restaurants that are 100% are not advertising themselves as such... due to the "gf is healthy and gross" crowds... one it's not healthy lol and two, it's come a long way in the past several years! I just happened to near by, so I went in. But if I know it was a whole little hidden gem shop, I would of gone out of my way! I got the best cake donut I have ever had! Cake donuts are usually a little sad... but theirs are light, perfect little cake! Unfortunately I let my frosting melt off in the TX heat, but thinking about going back to enjoy one in all its glory... GF people, run... do not walk... this is the place to be!

For clothing at an outlet, the hem could be off, button missing or another small imperfection. One would expect furniture to be durable and long lasting. It definitely leans toward the grotesque which makes for an interesting browsing experience. Creepy dolls, haunted masks, odd surrealist art, a lot of funky religious pieces. I mostly focused on the art but if you're interested in smaller things, I'm sure you can find cheaper items. I did question some of the pricing -- there was a small dinosaur painting for over 3K! We were told it came from a children's museum. Seemed a bit steep nonetheless. I personally prefer to dig around small antique shops and score treasures for a low price.
