This place is a hidden gem! If you're in the area, you have to stop by and make sure you have a lot of time to see everything! It's like an antique mall. We arrived only an hour before they closed, and I only saw about 1/4 of the vendors areas before they announced the 15 minutes till close. If you want to bring home a mask that may or may not be cursed -- this is your spot. This antique mall is wild. It definitely leans toward the grotesque which makes for an interesting browsing experience. Creepy dolls, haunted masks, odd surrealist art, a lot of funky religious pieces. In regards to art, the prices seemed to be on the higher end although there is quite a bit of variety (a few hundred here, a few thousand there). I mostly focused on the art but if you're interested in smaller things, I'm sure you can find cheaper items. I did question some of the pricing -- there was a small dinosaur painting for over 3K! We were told it came from a children's museum. Seemed a bit steep nonetheless. I personally prefer to dig around small antique shops and score treasures for a low price. However, this place is just fun to browse. It's like a museum of ugly and interesting objects. If you're looking for a unique date idea, you've found it. Parents -- I wore my baby in a carrier and we had my toddler in a small umbrella stroller. Worked out fine. There's enough room to navigate without little hands grabbing super expensive objects (just keep a close eye, obviously). After our visit, I read some of the older negative reviews (10 years ago) where folks with strollers were kicked out and not allowed in. I guess they realized how much that policy can hurt them. For a small shop there was lots to see in here! If you're looking for antiques or quirky items for decorating or displays this is a great place to check out. Love this place! The amount of stuff here is just amazing. Something for every collector to enjoy! I found big silver buttons that look like they should go on a Captain America coat. There was some fun jewelry and pins I didn't have enough time to check. They are open from 10 AM to 6 PM. What a bummer! I'd love to see them open til 8 PM on the weekends, but I get it. The economy is crazy and scary and this seems to work for them. Found a doll that looked mean as hell. Not taking HER home. Totally haunted. Went here on 4/11 on my recent trip to Austin to find a gift for my sister in law's birthday; she collects crucifixes as she's a pretty devout Catholic. I'm not religious but wanted to buy her something unique that she would like. She was over the moon with what I found for her. Friendly service but on the pricey side. This place is pretty awesome. There are so many cool and curated items here that you're sure to find something antique. I'm so glad that it's quality items and not the popular things that pop up at other shops. There's a lot of fun taxidermy animal people posing around the store, metal cookingware hanging up, a section with animal bones, vintage globes, and there's just so much to see here. I found a cutie brass cup missing the saucer, and I asked the front desk, not only did they go looking for it for me, they contacted the seller about lowering the price when it wasn't found. This place use to do buys all day long. Now it's just one ridiculous hour from 10-11 Mon-thur. I drive across town with a nice little bundle of vintage goods from my hill country spot closing down. Got there at 4:00 and couldn't be more annoyed and disappointed that there is absolutely nothing on the website that's states this. Uncommon Objects is a great name for this place, it just makes sense. Honestly the best antique shop I've ever gone to. They have the cutest things ever, big or small. I bought a tiny brass swinging chair, and I never buy anything from antique stores but it was too cute. They have something for everyone and the store is well organized. What a fun place! They have multiple vendors so lots to look at. Make sure you have time to check it all! We walked through store three separate times to be sure saw it all, and still know we didn't. Some of the pricing is a little high, but from listening to othrt conversations it sounds like you can make offers if want. Probably won't get immediate answer but if that works for you it's worth trying. Great staff who made sure we knew about their monthly flea market, where get additional vendors and set up in parking lot with music and food. Girl Scouts even sell food as fundraiser! read more

A little overpriced and the staff is very rude. They look down their noses at you like they're so much better than you.

My wife suggested we go here since we like to go to antique stores. Want to see a good haunting this season? You definitely need to come and see what they shelve behind these closed doors. Upon arrival, there's limited parking out front but if you go around the right side of the building, there is additional parking in the back. It's very clean and accessible. We have found that they are dog friendly and allowed us to walk around and see all the great and imaginable items for sale. A lot of creepy items as you can see in my photos. Items collected throughout the eras throughout the world are shelved here in crammed in the corners as well, as hung from the ceilings. The only thing that was missing was a haunting sounding hiss of wind blowing in the air. This is a great place to come visit and blow off your afternoon. Very entertaining collectibles at affordable prices. I'm sure if you brought just cash you can probably negotiate certain items. Very friendly staff on the floor. Chances are you'll probably be seeing me here more on the weekends. read more

From the outside, you would never expect this store to be as big as it is. It is a very spacious store perhaps 5000 ft.². Every conceivable knickknack and collectible can be found here. This is similar to an antique mall where you will have two dozen or so vendors sharing booths in the store. One thing I noticed was that there were different locations throughout the store of records. The selection here it is so vast that it's easier to point out what is not here than what is. For example, I did not spot any vintage clothing or antique stereo equipment, although I did find a few radio tubes. One thing that I found consistent throughout the store is the fact that you're going to pay top dollar for everything. The other thing that seemed very consistent was the fact that the condition of all these collectibles were in very nice original condition, which deserves a higher price. One thing that may entice you to visit, is the fact that they have an additional flea market of up to 30 vendors behind their store on the last Sunday of every month (see photos below). When my friend suggested going to a store that was described online as an antique store, I wasn't too enthusiastic. But I am glad we went! The store is curated by 27 different collectors and seems more like a museum than a store. It's impossible not to be awed by the impressive and creatively displayed collections. Me and my mom were driving around Austin. You know just casually strolling thru the city. Taking pics at the touristy murals. And I was looking for a place to just look around in the hot heat. Busted out with Yelp, and came across this place. It's so fun! I should have asked the history. But this place has an amazing collection of random objects and trinkets! I'm almost positive that the colorful items are from thrifty stores, or from people who have past. You will find everything and everything in there. From mini glass collectibles, to preserved pig and chipmunk bodies, pictures from WW2, clothes that you see from history books, you name it. Almost pretty positive some items are haunted. As far as COVID is concerned. You must wear a mask to enter, they have masks for purchase. You need to adhere to 6" social distancing and there are arrows on the ground to follow. Was in the neighborhood and saw this cute little place. We easily found parking right in front of the store and noticed lots of people of all ages walking in. As I walked in there was an array of unique items that really intrigued me to walk in and enjoy the hunt for something fun. Everything was nicely displayed and sometimes color coded, which I particularly loved. This place was filled with trinkets, old photos, records and the list goes on. This place is a wonder trove of things from the past, so if you like that sort of stuff, this place is for you! My husband found an amethyst crystal that was very unique and reasonably priced at $40.
