Revival Vintage is unique, kitschy, and fun. It does lean more on the pricey than more general thrift stores, but the space makes up for it with a strong sense of personality. Revival Vintage has truly captured the essence of vintage. Every item seems to be speciality, unique, and interesting. Service is not pushy, if you need help-- you can find them at the front. The value depends on the person. It does seem overpriced to me but maybe the sale events make the prices more reasonable, for some it was worth it but not for me. It's easy to miss this place if you're driving down north Lamar in the 5200 block. The interior is about the size of a small convenience store, but it is filled with quite a few unique items, including some vintage porn mags. There's only six parking spaces out front, but you might get lucky with some street parking. They have a lot of 60s through 80s collectibles including some hard to come by rock band vintage T-shirts. They do purchase your vintage clothing, however, it's best to call ahead to make sure the owner is there otherwise you'll be wasting a trip. Towards the back of the store is another small non-air-conditioned room that leads to an outdoor patio and stage. The small outdoor area with tables and a stage are for rent for small gatherings such as a birthday party of about 20 to 30 people. It is an uncovered venue, and I was told eventually there will be a food truck next to the gate. This is definitely a hidden little gem along busy North Lamar that's worth stopping into as the pictures below attest. read more

Another very fun vintage shop that is jammed packed with goodies. Notice how we call them "vintage" now and not "antique". I don't know how you feel, but it's old stuff someone didn't want. The big troll head kind of creeped me out but other than that, it's perusable. Revival is one of the larger more unique shops. If it's old, it's here. Clothing, boots, shoes, housewares, jewelry, record albums, toys, owls, books...I could go on and on. I think it's worth a look if you are seeking that special something. read more

This sweet little unassuming store is tucked away in the Mecca of Vintage (Thrift &Antique) shopping district that is North Loop. They have a fresh supply of vintage clothing, bags and jewelry, for the gals and guys. They also have the usual assortment of goodies (dishes, picture, chotchkies, nick nacks & furniture) and the day I was there they had just gotten in a chair and table set from Antones original location. The set was super groovy and in fabulous shape! The store is fresh, clean and has a great vibe to it. It also happens to smell great, this is no small matter when your dealing with vintage clothing. Their pricing was spot on as well. They definitely know their market and really try to cater to the consumer. The owner is usually there and super friendly as well as helpful. If your looking to add a few vintage or classic pieces to your home decor and or wardrobe put Revival on your list of places to shop. read more

I had just spent more money than I'm comfortable admitting to at Room Service, and decided to stop into Revival to poke around. I think some of the Yelp photos are outdated as the store is no longer jam packed with stuff - it's well-organized and simple. My first impression was, oh, boutique-y and too expensive for me... alas, I was wrong. Revival doesn't have as much stuff as other stores may, and not all of it is vintage, but there is a sense of quality over quantity, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. There are some racks of clothes; carefully arranged jewelry; knick-knacks and household items (including a 1910s rug!); and some random other cute stuff like kitschy sunglasses. I almost left empty-handed but ended up buying a set of matching retro mirrors for $25. The lady at the register was very sweet and helpful. I enjoyed my experience here and I recommend stopping by if you're on a North Loop vintage frenzy. read more

The places next door and across the street may have more coolness packed in per square foot, but the best deals on vintage stuff are more likely to be found here. I've bought a couple of furniture items here and owner Sonia has been a pleasure to work with. Bought a piece that probably represents a good 350 lbs. of solid teak and she was very cool about helping and working with me to figure out how to transport it. No North Loop vintage shop can possibly offer you stuff for the kind of prices you might find at a small town estate sale, but Revival is going to get you closer than most. read more

The store is curated in a definite style. For such a small store, they make every single spot count. I never felt like it was cramped. I think what makes a great vintage store is having something for everyone that is priced correctly. I never saw something and laughed (it's happened). They have men's, kid's, and women's clothing, select furniture, and lots of other stuffs. The owner and employee were super friendly. I was lucky enough to be there on a special day where the owner had set out meatballs, veggies, and vodka punch! Win! I got out of there with a tee and a vase for under $10 too. I loved it. I visited this place in May 2016 and forgot to write a review. I shopped that whole block for the right dress and didn't find it, but what I did find was that this place is all class, from the sweet young lady at the front who helped me out to the quality of clothing and items sold there. I'll be back. As for the other shops in the immediate area....really?????? Customer service was a joke, and some of the shops were just too weird for my taste and too snobby. read more

This is such a cute little vintage store which has everything from clothes, furniture and gifts for the inner retro/vintage person in you. I have a side of me that is into retro/vintage stuff even though I don't look or dress the part. This is a great place to come when you are in the North Loop area. I bought a pair of shoes and I had great service from the owner of Revival Vintage. The only downside is the parking situation. But don't let that stop you from going to Revival Vintage. They also hold Vintage Revival Sunday Market in which Revival Vintage invite other vendors to sell their stuff. I actually need to stay away because there's so many cute stuff on sale. read more

I was visiting Austin for the first time and someone told me I had to stop in here. I'm so glad I did! I feel like I got a real glimpse of Austin life, from the funny & warm owner, Sonia, to the fabulous selection of vintage stuff that I wouldn't have found anywhere else! Best way to find souvenirs is going to a store like this. And this one was so beautifully laid out and the displays themselves are so creative, you get ideas for re-decorting just by browsing. Not as big as Room Service across the street or Hog Wild (RIP), but here's a well-curated selection of housewares, art, bric-a-brac, and other fun stuff, with a sweet person behind the counter to help. She even had cake and eggnog available free to shoppers when we stopped by last night. Oh--and because all the merchants in the North Loop IBIZ District (http://www.austinibiz.com/) were offering special discounts, treats, and drinks, we got a great deal on an old, framed photo AND some walkaround eggnog to boot. read more

This store is just starting out on North Loop and is worth a visit if you're in the area. There are other vintage stores within walking distance, so it makes for a fun weekend time waster. I've been twice now and Revival hadn't really impressed me. They carry some furniture, glassware, clothes, books, music and lots of small objects. It's pretty cramped inside and the stock doesn't seem to change very often. I'm definitely going back to see the progress and keep supporting local vintage that's not overpriced. read more

This is definitely my new favorite vintage shop in town. I went in just looking for a tv stand/coffee table and found exactly what I needed and at a great price. Everything in there seemed to be actually priced to sell. I also ended up leaving with some adorable gems I did not need. I recommend this place 100%, even if for just a fun browse. :D read more
