On my first visit, I noticed they had a nice mix of clothing, shoes, glassware, and home décor, so I came back this weekend hoping to browse the clothing racks. I struck out on clothes this time around--not because they didn't have any, just because nothing in my size was quite my style, condition, or price point. That's thrifting, though. You never know what you're going to find, and sometimes the best score is in a completely different aisle. In my case, I walked out with a pair of vintage shoes in excellent condition for only $5, plus several beautiful glass pieces for next to nothing. I'd call that a successful trip! When I drove by on Sunday, they had boxes and boxes of free items out front with people happily digging through them. It was way too hot for me to join the hunt, but once the Texas weather cools off, I definitely will. This feels like one of those thrift stores that's worth stopping into regularly because the inventory is always changing, and you never know what treasure you'll find next.

Here is a clearer, more polished rewrite that keeps your honest tone but improves flow and…read morereadability: I have visited the new expanded location several times now. There are some things the store does very well, and some areas that are clearly struggling. First, the space is much larger than the previous location. There is plenty of room for merchandise, and they seem to have many kind volunteers working there. The furniture and home goods section is organized fairly well. However, the shelves are extremely packed with merchandise, which may be related to the pricing. Many items feel overpriced for a community thrift store, which likely slows down how quickly things move off the shelves. The layout is also a bit confusing. It almost feels like two completely separate stores. Furniture and home goods are on one side, while clothing is in a different area. What makes it more unusual is that you cannot pay for clothing on the home goods side, or home goods on the clothing side. You also have to go outside to enter each section. It seems like this setup requires twice as many volunteers and makes the shopping experience less convenient. The pricing on the clothing side is actually very good, but the organization is quite poor. I found high-end men's shirts, such as Brooks Brothers, mixed in with women's clothing. There were several other similar examples of items being misplaced, which made browsing more difficult. I have visited multiple times before writing this review because I hoped that, after the expansion, the shopping experience would improve. Unfortunately, the store actually felt more organized in its old location than it does now.

On that side, they were super nice too, and my eBay purchase pick up was super smooth. Purchases that you make their go toward providing food for people who need services from the food pantry. There can be decent finds (though my most recent purchase was a toy with a corroded battery compartment and another missing a piece so that's a bummer), and there can be great prices depending on the day. There can also be outrageous prices for things! But still, a good place to hunt a find. However, things have really shifted for the worse lately. There is lots more furniture, but prices are WILD for what it is. There are many people hanging around changing in the center of walkways or sitting around with their dogs and cats not shopping. And inventory definitely isn't what it used to be-- lots of broken things or stinky items. The worst though lately was an EMPLOYEE who shushed my baby like 4 times for screeching (like babies do) when he got excited and then told me "he's so annoying. Make him be quiet." Can I say inappropriate? Also, like you are 80, did you not have kids or experience them? Girl. Your attitude needs to go in the donation bin. Jeez. It takes the same effort to be kind especially when I'm already wrangling him and another. I told one of the other workers up front kindly that it felt inappropriate and she literally laughed at me and kept ringing me up. Whew. Anyways, that makes me definitely not want to take the extra trip! I still think there can be good finds and appreciate what they are doing in part for the community, but I won't be making the effort to support or recommend it anymore. I sure hope it changes in the future! We really used to love going there!

The girl who initially helped me was brand new and very nice, and I completely understand that new employees are still learning, so I had no issue with her. I accidentally entered one digit of my phone number incorrectly, so about two hours after dropping everything off, I called the store myself. I was told my items had been processed about nine minutes earlier. At no point during that phone call did anyone discuss what they wanted to purchase, what they were offering, or ask me to approve anything. When I arrived, they were still going through the items, and I noticed one of my pieces had been listed as a medium T-shirt--which immediately stood out because I don't even wear a medium. I was then told the item had already been tagged to be sold. That was extremely concerning considering I had never reviewed or approved what they were taking or what I was agreeing to sell. Riley was professional throughout the interaction, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the overall experience. Other associates seemed far too comfortable inserting their personal opinions rather than simply addressing a legitimate concern about the process. I've sold and consigned clothing before and have never experienced anything like this. If a business is purchasing someone's property for resale, there should be complete transparency about which items are being accepted, what the seller is being paid, and an opportunity for the seller to approve the transaction before their belongings are tagged for resale. The entire process left me feeling like the priority was getting merchandise onto the floor for the lowest possible cost rather than making sure the person selling it actually understood and agreed to the transaction. Then, when I questioned it, the responsibility seemed to be shifted back onto me. Completely unprofessional experience, and I would not trust this process with my belongings again.

The worst part was how rude their customer service is. My 2.5 year old is deaf/hard of hearing and took off her hearing aid in the store. My husband put it in what he thought was our cart. When we realized he had misplaced her hearing aid, I went back inside to look for it. I asked one of the stockers to help and they ignored me. I then went to the front to ask for help and was told that I would need to look in the carts myself. I told the lady that my daughter needs the hearing aid to hear and they are very expensive but she blew me off again and told me to look myself. I then told her I had spent $60 in the store and that they were $12,000 and asked if she would please help me. She told me " not with that attitude I can't." She then forced me to take a breath and continued to berate me about my attitude after she had refused to help me. She finally did make an announcement and someone came forward with the hearing aid. I'll never go back to this store and would never recommend it to anyone.
