I've been to this thrift shop quite a number of times so I thought it was time to leave a review. The store itself has undergone a welcome remodel, making it a much more organized retail space. They always have a nice selection of pictures, a good offering of furnishings and a large jewelry counter, but not much in the way of electronics. They also have books, picture frames, glassware, shoes, music media, and appliances. They do have a color tag system designed to save you money. Directly attached to the thrift store is a salad bar and grill restaurant in case you're hungry. They always have many new items going to the shelves then so it's worth stopping in fairly often.

    Vintage Indiana glass $29.50

This is not thrifting. Even at 50% off, this Indiana glass bowl isn't worth $29.50. And to charge more for a bowl that was mass produced and recently selling for less when new is greedy. Employees are in the store pricing items for more than what they see them going for online by flippers. The thing is, people are posting online but few of them are actually getting what they're selling for, so VSP is pricing people out. A lot of people go thrifting to decorate, but at these prices we may as well go to Williams Sonoma and buy new things.

Very nice thrift store, well organized, and great prices on books, art, furniture, movies and clothes. My wife bought a book, some office organizing things, and I found a few cd's, all for under 15 dollars. Hard back books for 2 dollars and paperbacks a dollar. Cds were 1 dollar.

You'll love just checking out how they decorated...

This is my new favorite thrift store! Great prices nice brands and friendly help! I always have certain colors on sale and it's not necessarily the items that have been there the longest!

I figure that I might as well go to somewhere else and find this cheaper for a knockoff of vintage or just go to Goodwill.

For more than half of my time in the store I continuously had multiple workers staring me down, and then two just following me around multiple times which gives me the feeling that I'm being looked at like I'm going to steal. This normally wouldn't bother me because I'm not a thief but it bothers me because I've given zero reason for anyone to be looking at me or following me like this. It creates a nasty narrative, and a hostile environment. Until you've been given a reason to need to follow someone, don't... I'm an indecisive person, but I'm also a gay male in a thrift store playing gospel music, so it's bad enough I already feel like I'm not wanted here but to follow me around and look at me while talking to co workers multiple times doesn't put a good feeling on a customer. And there's a chance that maybe this wasn't the case but I'd be an easy target. There's not a huge selection of men's clothes or shoes and if there is it's mixed up with the women's so I look in ever aisle and I feel like I got stares because I was in the women's aisles but there was a plethora of women's things in the men's aisle so maybe they just need to reorganize? The prices on some things seems incredibly capitalist, I see a whole couch for $19.99 which is a great price, but then I'm looking at a pair of shoes for $24.... Where's the relief in that LOL I have to admit they have some pretty good items, but the prices seem greedy. I don't know how much of the proceeds go to disaster relief but if it's not 100% then it seems pretty disturbing, prices are getting to be like Goodwills and there's no good will in that ‍ All in all, this truly is a great store but this was not a good experience for me so I may seek another store.

It's also been sitting in my draft reviews for quite awhile (for those of you tracking). Started coming here a couple of years ago, around 2023 and just love it. It's a smaller store but they have lots of well-curated pieces and a really good selection of formal wear, dresses, skirts, jewelry, etc. I was prompted to take care of this draft review and a few others today because of a dress in the window here. A friend was recently in town visiting and asked that I go back and get a picture of the dress in the window. She is thinking about purchasing it (or having me purchase it and send it to her lol). Anyway, here's something to know: items displayed in the window have waitlists for folks intersting in purchasing. Anytime I have been in the shop, including today, service is friendly and helpful. Interestingly, the store combines vintage items with some modern items. For example, socks, some jewelry and sunglasses are non-vintage. While the store is small, it is easy to browse. In addition, clothing and shoe items are spaced apart where you can easily view them and ferret through the racks. The value of items are reasonably priced and some items as low as $5. I did not find anything I could not live without, however, I will definitely pop in from time to time. Also, there is a fair amount of free parking. The store manager was super helpful and personable.

I discovered and found more than a few pieces here for myself and my business life. I love that at any Goodwill I can find unusual pieces, like the bed frame in my picture. I also often wonder about the history of furniture pieces in Goodwill and Thrift stores. I know they tell a story; it's like where you've been, where you come from. But that's the thing, Goodwill always has the best pieces. I also love the staff because they will help bring my vision to life. You know, make it real for me! Now this might be asking too much. It's a…read moreconsignment shop rather than a traditional thrift store, so the initial prices are set by the consignors, not the shop. What keeps me coming back, though, is the pricing system. Every tag shows when the item will be marked down next, so if something is a little too expensive for my bargain-hunting budget today, I can either look for older tags that have already been discounted or make a note to come back after the next markdown. It's such a smart system, and it makes shopping here a lot more fun. I also love that the store is staffed by volunteers and that the proceeds benefit local charities. It's nice knowing that my purchases are helping support good causes. For me, though, the biggest draw is the selection. They consistently have a great assortment of vintage glassware, including Early American Prescut (EAPC) and other beautiful older pieces. Since my goal when thrifting is to find things I couldn't otherwise afford, Next-to-New gives me a real chance to do exactly that. Their clothing section is another reason I keep coming back. They always seem to have quality pieces at fair prices, often from really good brands. I especially appreciate that everything is organized by size instead of just by type of clothing, so I'm only looking through items that might actually fit instead of wasting time digging through everything.
