    Honeydew matcha latte
    Hannah L.

Vibe: very homey, with a couple of tables. there's also a hairdresser within/right next to the cafe portion Service: standard, took a little longer to get drinks Items ordered: - Honeydew matcha ($8.5) a little too sweet, but refreshing and the honewdew flavor works! - Matcha latte ($6.5) astringent, not the best quality Other notes: good for dessert matcha vibes

I have been one of Luanne's "day 1" customers and have nothing but good things to say about the drinks, vibes, and owners. Their flavors are unique, homemade, and natural as can be. I literally go to sleep so excited the nights I know I'll be going to Luanne's the next day. I still dream about the caramel apple flavor from last Fall and the honeydew from this Spring. Vanessa and Paige put their hearts and souls into this and have added a great vibe to Austin's unique community. Can't wait to continue with them on their journey as they evolve :)

I'm shocked I didn't realize this place existed until I walked past it this weekend. It's in a quaint bungalow near one of the East Side's more well-known coffee shops, so it's easy to bypass if you don't know what you're looking for. Inside you'll find a shared space--half salon, half hipster coffee shop, the best kind of coffee shop in my opinion. The baristas were super friendly despite it being busy, and the date latte was delicious. It had the perfect balance of richness from the espresso and sweetness from the date syrup. Overall, a solid drink. If you're looking for something sweet, this is the perfect drink.

LOVE the people here - they are looking for their next home so if you know anyone who wants to add a coffee / matcha pop up to their small business, please reach out to them! I've tried a few of their seasonal flavors, but still need to try their just regular matcha. Tried the cornbread matcha (a little more bitter than sweet) and their spooky Ube & sesame milk matcha (more on the sweet side). Hoping they can find another place quickly so I can visit again!

Came here with my boyfriend. Immediately the vibes were great very pretty atmosphere. It feels like you're sitting in a house but you're also in a coffee shop. The latte that I got was an iced honey vanilla latte and it was great. The barista's were super nice. We will definitely be coming back.

Loved this place! Super friendly staff, good music playing. Not many places to sit but we didn't mind. Coffee was absolutely delicious. They use real ingredients to make their specialty drinks and it pays off because wow!! Definitely coming back

Best matcha in Austin!!! The owners are wonderful and put so much energy and love into their craft, respecting the traditions of matcha culture and not taking shortcuts. Every matcha latte is measured with FIVE GRAMS of sifted powder (which is double what most places would give you), making for a creamy, delicious drink with that dark vibrant color. They then hand whisk every drink to perfection and garnish beautifully. My current fav is the banana bread latte, but everything on the menu is amazing. Cannot recommend enough- I am such a fan!!

I'd like to start with the positives because I truly believe the people who work / own the establishment are kind and are in the early stages of developing their shop. The place itself, the name, the stickers, the star cinnamon top is super aesthetic. My friend and I were a bit disappointed bc we both ordered the lucky latte but they didn't give us a star for either drink (and we're BIG picture people so we were really excited about the star). Both mine and my friend's coffee tasted like straight whole milk. Perhaps there was a whisper of espresso but it lacked much flavor at all and our tummy's were HURTING an hour down the line and neither of us are lactose intolerant lol Also, in typical Austin fashion, there is no parking lot/area for Luanne's so you have to park on the street or a nearby neighborhood, which ended up not being too much of a hassle for us but I know that can be a deterrent for some. There's also not much seating, there's about three tables and two sofas total and they're usually filled up with people waiting on their drink. If I were to sit a study for a long time I would probably do it in a bigger coffee shop. Overall, I wouldn't come back to this specific location, but if they opened into a larger space I could see myself trying it again.

I will say that the coffee and matcha were great and the flavors were very unique. The one thing I was notexpecting was the location, the photos and everything looked super cute in an older renovated home which it is but it shares the space with a salon. I would say the salon has the primary space and I wasn't sure if the sitting area was for waiting for the salon, drinking our drinks, or both. The person making our drinks was kind and helpful. Overall I would come here again for the drinks but I was hoping this was a place I could hang out and drink my coffee for a bit and didn't get that. Parking is limited as well. Definitely give this a shot though if you want a great, unique drink on the go.

the ube black sesame soy matcha was trying to do too many things at once, the ube soft top was delicious, but while black sesame matcha is one of my favorite combinations, this one missed the mark. it was extremely chalky and had no matcha flavor also expensive for about $8.50

I'll start this off by saying... I don't even like Matcha. Scoff if you'd like, but every matcha I've had has always underwhelmed me. Well...not today. Tucked away in a cute little house on Cesar Chavez is Luanne's Coffee and Matcha. I had the cornbread latte, which was made with matcha, corn milk and dreams. Pro tip, make sure you stir it up well. It was DELICIOUS!! I will definitely be back. Vanessa, the owner, was incredibly kind and passionate about her craft too.

They have a revolving menu of unique and delicious coffees - the owners are so incredibly sweet and will guide you through your decision making process. I met them at a pop up so I can't speak to the ambiance of the place but I know the owners friendliness and quality of coffee will make the experience great!!

the atmosphere is great they played a lot of good music. the staff is so sweet and very attentive. we got the honeydew matcha and it's a 10/10 i highly recommend. It's a perfect blend of all flavors. It's a must try if you're in Austin.

Neither of them could finish their entire glass of beer, so I ended up chugging the remaining half of both of theirs. The customer service was so sweet--I was struggling to translate the menu with my mom, and the guy at the front desk was truly helpful throughout. It really raised the experience of this place during what could've been a relatively stressful situation. Dirty Horchata - I was hoping for a stronger horchata taste. It's not bad, so it was worth the shot! Just grateful it wasn't too sweet. My BFF felt the same, as we're both horchata fiends from growing up in Chicago. Cherry Cider - The cider has a tangy taste. The cherry flavor isn't as strong, but it's a fragrant drink. The flavor slowly became sweeter the more I drank it. It grew on me, but it wouldn't be my go-to unless I knew I was munching on something salty that night. Violet Blueberry Blonde - My favorite of the two. This one has a tamer flavor with a nicer floral note. It was exactly what I asked for. I felt like I could've easily chugged a few of these. The guy at the counter definitely chose a great pick. I love the low-key ambiance of this place, the peaceful nighttime atmosphere, the fact that it's wedged into a cozy nook, and how it isn't so LOUD like many bars. Didn't get bit by a mosquito while we hung out there for an hour, so that's a huge plus. They were probably chewing on my friends' legs too intently to consider me, though. Wish I had something like this near my place in Houston. I would regularly hang out here on a weekday, no cap.

Tons of outdoor and patio seating, a few tables indoors in the AC. I ordered the Flapjack, hot, with double espresso in a larger cup, with half sweetness (effectively a large with less services). Delicious saltiness and cinnamon! I really enjoyed this. I tried the honey lavender latte which they said was the least sweet of their fort favorites. The lavender flavor was very forward and there was a hint of sweetness on the back of the tongue, so very accurate. I didn't get as much coffee flavor here so maybe double espresso if that's important to you. Friends also tried the seasonal coconut macadamia latte (they said it was nice, like a sweet nutty flavor). Really solid coffee spot with great vibes, I'd come back.

The space is aesthetically pleasing and really calming, a great place to study or just decompress. Mixed Rice Paper with Tamarind Sauce ($12.95): Yum, probably the best banh trang tron we have had in Austin or at least the most consistently good one. They ask if you want the ingredients kept separate or mixed together. If mixed, you need to eat it right away. We have tried both ways and even when we kept them separate and ate it later it was still just as good. Rice Paper Rolls / Banh Trang Cuon ($12.50): This one is different from the mixed rice paper in that it comes rolled with egg, while the other version has quail eggs and beef jerky. I think this rolled version is becoming my preferred way to eat banh trang. The dipping sauce that came with it was also really good. Mixed Rice Paper with Chili Salt / Banh Trang Muoi Ot Tron Kho ($6.50): A bit pricey for what it is but this is hard to find in Austin and it was well made. The rice paper was the right texture and the chili salt amount was spot on. Y7. Winter Melon Icy Slush ($6.80) + Crystal Taro ($1.15): Wow this was delicious and super refreshing. It was a bit too sweet for me but perfect for my husband. I loved the crystal taro too since you can taste the subtle taro flavor when you chew it. F1. Bee Vietnamese Style ($6.80) + Lychee Jelly ($0.95): My husband ordered this one but ended up liking the winter melon icy slush more. It was not bad but just nothing special.
