As a coffee enthusiast I had to reach this spot by any means. Took a stroll downtown Austin to visit this hidden gem of a place. With my love of orange and coffee, this place was the spot! I asked the barista which coffee out of my two selections, took his advice to consideration and selected Avena Latte. Fan favorite to many! Didn't disappoint! If you love hint of oranges in your coffee this will be your place.

I came here once for a cold brew and honestly hated it. After that I didn't go back for about 5 months. I live fairly close and had friends in town so we went back. This time I ordered their signature latte which is a smoke salted maple latte. It was great. Pretty pricey but still good. Also, the two people working were amazing and gave very honest advice/ opinions which I love!!! Since the latter was so good and the people working were so great I have been back on multiple occasions!

A cute little coffee shop downtown, but not necessarily a spot to hang out and catch up with friends as it's kind of small. I got a matcha latte and I thought it was decent. I wish the matcha flavor was stronger. And it was way more expensive than I had expected!

Great service, unique coffee items. Pretty pricey for a latte. I like the tiles on the wall!

Mixed feelings about this place. First of all, super cute, love the vibes here! The nitro concept is really cool. I love that they have so many things on tap. I got the oat nitro matcha which was so expensive oh my goodness but it was delicious. If it weren't for the price I would come back everyday.

Cute and chill ambiance but there's limited table space. Got the vanilla latte with oat milk and it was a little bitter for my liking but pretty decent. Expect usual downtown Austin prices. Good spot to get work done!

I picked this spot on our trip to Austin because it had great yelp reviews and Black Cat coffee ‍ , which I had to try! It was an unusually cold day in Austin, but this was only several blocks away so we ventured out. Glad we did! Welcomed in with a "Hello y'all" (common greeting in Austin!) and had good service and conversation with the barista. The food and drinks did not disappoint! In fact, I loved my Avena latte--a house special. We bought the hat for our friends who own East Bay Coffee Company in Pinole--Lisa immediately knew the coffee shop. We didn't know it was a chain in the Central/East Coast states. We need this in CA, too!

Had a wonderful latte here this afternoon! The space is small, but not cramped at all. The tile on the wall is magnificent. Would definitely come back here for an ice drink! The Avena Latte was very refreshing.

Came by this coffee shop for an afternoon matcha. The matcha was super smooth. No matcha lumps, thank god! The staff was super friendly and had me sample the nitro matcha on tap which was interesting. It's a super spacious coffee shop and worth a try. Cheers!

Cute coffee shop near Austin Central Library. Got the draft oat latte - delicious and didn't hurt my stomach at all. Not too sweet, and not too bitter either. Service was very friendly and attentive, and the inside was really cute! Loved the blue and red tile wall!

I absolutely love the avena latte. This used to be a seasonal item for them but now its available anytime. If you haven't tried it, its a must. Its a beautifully balanced latte with a blend of spices and notes of citrus. There is free wifi and several seating options. The only downsides are that they close at 4PM and there is no parking.

Matcha Latte with Oat Milk ($7)

After walking around the Austin library I needed one of the closest coffee shops nearby and Intelligentsia was my choice. They have stores in other cities like LA, Chicago, etc. The interior of the Austin location is small, but very nice and the staff was super friendly. I wanted the Iced Apple Chai, but unfortunately after a short wait it turns out it was sold out so I opted for the Iced Oat Matcha Latte which was originally costs $7. I have had matcha lattes from many places, but I was personally a little whelmed by the matcha flavor and there was zero sweetness which I was caught off guard by. I don't mind having a little sweetness, but none at all made the matcha flavor pretty overpowering and I wasn't a fan of this particular matcha taste. It's mainly personal preference, but this wasn't my favorite and the seats are a little uncomfortable to sit on. The customer service was outstanding and a 10/10 though which was the biggest plus for me.

We stopped by on an early morning right at opening so the wait time was non existent. The shop is located in a very nice area and kind of tucked into a cul-de-sac downtown. Perfect for after a run/bike/yoga/ session. The almond croissant was so tasty! Very flaky and I recommend getting to warmed up! The avena latte was super tasty as well. A bit sweet so if you're not into sweet coffees be aware. The pour over was phenomenal. So much flavor and the presentation it came out in was super nice. The baristas were super friendly and the vibe was awesome here. Pet friendly too, we got to meet so many pups that morning! Highly recommend if you're in the area!!

Extremely watered down americano. The coffee was bad enough, but the price for the coffee just added insult to injury.

That alone made it a great find, but what made the experience even better was discovering that they also had live entertainment on Tuesday night until 11. It turned a simple coffee stop into a really enjoyable evening. I ordered a coffee and a brownie, and while the total was a little on the expensive side, around $15 or $16, it felt completely worth it to me. The quality was there, and everything felt a bit more gourmet than your average coffee shop stop. The brownie was delicious, the coffee was exactly what I wanted, and the overall atmosphere made the price feel justified. Between the free entertainment, the beautiful decor, and the location, it felt like much more than just paying for coffee and dessert. One of the best parts of the experience was the setting. Being right on the water made it especially beautiful at night. You can enjoy your drink, take a walk, look at the lights, and just soak in the scenery. It was the perfect place to unwind after a heavy meal and a long workday.
